Great breakfast and bar service, There was a flashing light on fire alarm in the ceiling above the bed, this could do with changing. The moving wrap around advert in the bar and restaurant isn’t nice at all and ruins the environment. The staff were lovely and it wasn’t clear that the parking would be an additional cost.

The problem of inconvenience is due to very extensive roadworks - replacing city sewers/ water pipes so the road system surrounding the hotel and parking is dug up and chaotic because of road closures and entrance to hotel parking lot closure- not the hotel’s fault but it is a major and ongoing disruption

Whatever price you think you are paying be aware that you can add £10 for using their car park. I thought that at least guests would get a discount on the displayed rates. Room was comfortable and room service meal was very good. Advertised early bird menu was very limited.

Friendly staff really good service, place could do with a cleaning manager. Certain things like stained carpets on the level we stayed cob webs on ceiling, but overall enjoyed the stay. Car parking should be included.

We both had a good stay at the hotel. However, a parking charge of £10 on top of the room fee made it an expensive night away. The room was clean, functional & there were tea/coffee available and a fridge which was useful. Overall, we shall consider staying here again.

Stop over stay . Receptionist was very welcoming . Everywhere was clean . Downside couldn't use the bar as we were traveling with our dog and dogs weren't allowed in that area. Room was very spacious and clean . Very good shower. Had electric car chargers in car park but they are very expensive

The Hotel was fine - as expected. Receptionist forgot to tell me that I needed to use my key card to use the lift and couldn't work out why the lift wasn't arriving (plus only one of the two lifts was working). Overnight - several youths had a pitched fight in Church Lane with general disorder (kicking doors etc...) Woken up very early to a 'Warning this vehicle is reversing' noise from somewhere outside and opposite before the sound of a bottle bank being emptied ... crashing bottles/breaking glass etc

Lovely, modern hotel with excellent amenities. Didn't eat at this hotel, so can't comment on that. Had a good night's sleep in a comfy bed (Ear plugs are a must, if you get given a room on the same side as the busy road). Parking is charged at £10 per night, and it's limited. However, if you go to the carpark across the road, it's free on certain days/ much cheaper than the hotels parking!! Although, I didn't feel my van was safe at all in either carpark. Outside area around the hotel is a huge let down, and I wouldn't advise anyone to go out alone. It's surrounded by derelict buildings and is extremely rough. This lets the hotel down massively and for this reason alone, I wouldn't return.

The hotel has been built in a run down area with a failing town on its doorstep, this creeps into the building itself with undesirable characters drinking at the bar etc.. Upon entering our room we were immediately hit with a smell of what i can only describe as stagnant flatulence! To make it worse the bathroom stunk of rotten egg obviously bad drainage. So we opened our balcony door to air the room and was greated with the smell of someone nearby smoking cannabis, this combined with the sound of sirens just made the whole evening worse. The were hairs in our bed and around the toilet. The bed was like concrete. We slept on top of the quilt with our own blanket. Initially we'd booked for 2 nights but 1 was more than enough! We left sharply early in the morning and will not be returning to Bridgewater anytime soon! No refund given. I would like to add that the staff were very pleasant.

The hotel itself is pleasant enough. My room looked fine until I looked closely. The sink hadn’t been cleaned properly - you could see where the last person had spat out their toothpaste! , The shower glass still had soap on it and one of the mugs was dirty. I had to clean the mugs before I could use them. The cooked breakfast was too dried out but that’s because the hotel was very quiet and I imagine the breakfast items stayed on the servery for quite a while. I had room service and my meal was quick and very good.

Hotel was clean, the room was large, bathroom fully refurbished and very well decorated, big shower and plenty of toiletries. The bed was probably the comfiest bed I have ever slept on. Pillows amazing! We only stayed here as we were passing in the middle of a storm. I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed there for 1 night for our works Christmas party 2 December never been there before Excellent hotel very clean and tidy you can see why it's got a 5 star rating Staff was brilliant very helpful very professional The bar area very nice really looks stunning And the food at breakfast very nice as well Would definitely stay here again

6 weeks prior to booking date I had asked to be placed in a twin room that was a high up as possible and away from the main road. On my arrival they placed us on the very first floor in the junction next to the main road and the traffic lights. Basically resulting in no sleep. After entering the room and finding they had ignored my wishes.I told them of the situation they said they would look at changing or upgrading the room but that it might not be a twin as no twins that I had requested were available. I received a call from the duty manager and it was clear that wouldn’t do anything to rectify the situation or offer anything in way of compensation for the poor service I had received. Instead receiving an email to complain to. As it was a one night stay it seemed entirely pointless as by the time they would do anything it would be redundant as we were leaving at 8am The gentleman who was working the breakfast shift in the restaurant how ever provided great service and an excellent demeanour. He went above an beyond for our requests in the morning and was for me the star of the hotel. He deserves recognition

So check in was great. Had a room with a balcony but couldn’t actually use it as there was nothing to sit on. Went to order room service. Firstly no number to contact reception. The when I finally got hold of someone they informed me I had to order room service actually at reception. Ordered a breakfast to the room for the morning. What a waste of money. Half the items I ordered where missing. Also ordered fresh coffee black yet it came with milk. Then came check out. They tried to charge me again for the breakfast which was already paid for. Wasn’t interested in any issues I had or when I tried to mention the missing items on from my breakfast just wanted me out the door. Il stay for a standard room as it was a comfy bed. But a spoons breakfast down the road will be a better option.

The room was decent, but unfortunately, it was quite noisy due to traffic from the road. At the bar, I ordered a beer, and the bartender initially served it in a used, dirty glass that he had taken from the dirty dish basket. I was shocked by this behavior, but it seemed like a normal routine to the bartender. When I questioned it, he offered me a ‘clean’ glass.
The room was decent, but unfortunately, it was quite noisy due to traffic from the road. Messy checkin, room was terrible (overlooking busy road and beside elevator), was advised to pay to move… paid and then refunded due to their technical issue and waiting for a half hour to see if they had a decent room. moved to a higher floor room still overlooking road and just as close to the elevator… Wifi is decent, food in the franchised restaurant was ok, room service not good. Building randomly shook regularly, not sure if it was regular trucks going by the main road or what but it was not a quality feel…

A nice hotel, check in easy, and a nice room. I didn’t sleep well as the pillows were too hard, but the bathroom and shower was excellent. Restaurant food was good in the evening, but disappointing at breakfast as the cooked food was just warm, not hot, but tasty nonetheless. Good service with professional friendly staff. I would stay here again.

We checked in he got charged for He noticed this and asked for a refund at check out and they practically laughed at him and said it wasn’t there problem and refused to refund his money. Blatant theft in my eyes. If this is the way this company acts when they have made an error, I/my group will never stay with this hotel chain again. Shocking!

Messy checkin, room was terrible (overlooking busy road and beside elevator), was advised to pay to move… paid and then refunded due to their technical issue and waiting for a half hour to see if they had a decent room. moved to a higher floor room still overlooking road and just as close to the elevator… Wifi is decent, food in the franchised restaurant was ok, room service not good. Building randomly shook regularly, not sure if it was regular trucks going by the main road or what but it was not a quality feel…

The reception staff were excellent and went above and beyond. The restaurant was super busy (think there was a coach trip) but the service staff took it in their stride and a credit to the whole stay

Pleasant stay. Reception staff where helpful. It would be nice if a hotel chain started thinking about putting an alternative milk supply or at least offer this for the room. Lovely to have tea and coffee in the room but not much use of you are vegan. Overall though a nice stay. Room and bed was comfortable and a lovely shower. Only disappointment was the Marco Pierrre White restaurant on site where the food was ok, waitress was brilliant but the manager was very rude.

The hotel has been built in a run down area with a failing town on its doorstep, this creeps into the building itself with undesirable characters drinking at the bar etc.. Upon entering our room we were immediately hit with a smell of what i can only describe as stagnant flatulence! To make it worse the bathroom stunk of rotten egg obviously bad drainage. So we opened our balcony door to air the room and was greated with the smell of someone nearby smoking cannabis, this combined with the sound of sirens just made the whole evening worse. The were hairs in our bed and around the toilet. The bed was like concrete. We slept on top of the quilt with our own blanket. Initially we'd booked for 2 nights but 1 was more than enough! We left sharply early in the morning and will not be returning to Bridgewater anytime soon! No refund given. I would like to add that the staff were very pleasant.

The problem of inconvenience is due to very extensive roadworks - replacing city sewers/ water pipes so the road system surrounding the hotel and parking is dug up and chaotic because of road closures and entrance to hotel parking lot closure- not the hotel’s fault but it is a major and ongoing disruption

5 mins walk from the train station and easy to find. Take aways and shops close by. My only complaint is breakfast. For an extra £30 per couple we weren't greeted on or seated, two staff were too busy stood at their station on their mobile phones, the food was not hot enough and the fried eggs were not cooked fresh to order. Not up to standard for the price.

Lovely, modern hotel with excellent amenities. Didn't eat at this hotel, so can't comment on that. Had a good night's sleep in a comfy bed (Ear plugs are a must, if you get given a room on the same side as the busy road). Parking is charged at £10 per night, and it's limited. However, if you go to the carpark across the road, it's free on certain days/ much cheaper than the hotels parking!! Although, I didn't feel my van was safe at all in either carpark. Outside area around the hotel is a huge let down, and I wouldn't advise anyone to go out alone. It's surrounded by derelict buildings and is extremely rough. This lets the hotel down massively and for this reason alone, I wouldn't return.

A nice hotel, check in easy, and a nice room. I didn’t sleep well as the pillows were too hard, but the bathroom and shower was excellent. Restaurant food was good in the evening, but disappointing at breakfast as the cooked food was just warm, not hot, but tasty nonetheless. Good service with professional friendly staff. I would stay here again.

Whatever price you think you are paying be aware that you can add £10 for using their car park. I thought that at least guests would get a discount on the displayed rates. Room was comfortable and room service meal was very good. Advertised early bird menu was very limited.

Unfortunately we were unable to dine in the evening in the hotel as we were told short staff and kitchen was not taking any more orders, although dinning room was not full. Also we were told the room Service was not available, but we could go out the hotel for something to eat, aftef a 2 hour drive we just wanted to rest. Room perfect, shower amazing also very clean. Breakfast service brillant and attentive. Coffee machine had broken down. All in all an okay stay, just requires tweaking for food if required as in your menu for room service states upto 10.00pm, for us this was not an option. Thank you for good service from reception and breakfast waitress. Road closure did not help either. Kind Regards Teri Tilbury.

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. However, the breakfast was a big let down. Took ages to replenish hot food. The coffee machine was very inadequate. One machine which took an age to dispense, hence large queues and food going cold.

We only stayed for one night, the room was clean and bathroom was well presented! The reason for the score is the towels are old and crusty, although in our room the toiletries were supplied there was no Tom for your own wash bag as style was more a factor than practicality. The coffee machine is rubbish it is so loud that you can’t make a quiet drink in the night incase you wake your partner, it also does not turn off every time so over flows! There also is no consideration for decafinated tea you supply decaf coffee why not tea? Also there are other drinks in fridge who knew if these were free? X

Booked due to heatwave & they had air-conditioning & pet friendly The hotel was modern & room was ok, smaller than we are used to, but ok for a night or 2 Location is central, but Bridgewater itself doesn't really have a lot to do. Good if you are visiting family or friends, or for business
