Superbe Hotel, très bien placé dans le Vieux quartier de Hanoï, le personnel est très accueillant et très sympa. It's literally in the middle of the town where all the action takes place. A short 5-10 minute walk to beer street if you want to party at night and right next to the shopping/main circle/waterfront area, and on the weekends less than a minute away from the night market. There is a small pool and billiards/foosball table upstairs though the room gets kind of hot at times. The hotel staff is extremely accommodating and very nice with any requests that we had. If you're closer to the ground floors you may end up hearing typical noise, bike horns, music from outside at night, but you're in Vietnam so that's pretty normal.

Great stay & great location. Only negative to consider is elevator only goes to floor 12 then walk a flight of stairs to pool which is inside but there is no room to lay around. There is 2 seats to sit on but everyone going to restaurant walk right past you in the pool to go ip another 6 stairs to restaurant & another lot to roof top bar. Pool is also freezing cold. We weren’t aware of this when booking.

A nice buffet breakfast, and a games room and indoor pool. There is a beautiful view from the bar on the rooftop. And it’s a lovely and quiet place to sit in the mornings if you’re up early. Comfy room and bed. A fantastic shower too.

Was very good, great location. I was disappointed with where pool is inside & walking past it to the restaurant. You can’t lay around it & it was absolutely freezing. I think people should know the elevator only goes to floor 12 then you have to walk stairs to pool, restaurant & skybar

We stayed here for 3 nights, a beautiful boutique style hotel. Location was excellent just a street away from the lake. Everything you need is at your door step. Having travelled through Vietnam, the staff here were the best. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Beautiful skybar, lovely to sit outside in the evenings to watch the happenings down below. We used the pool which was nice. We would definitely stay here again.

The Rex Hotel Hanoi is an excellent hotel to stay at. Location is unbeatable, and the condition, amenities and staff were excellent! My only feedback would be to not stay on the 12th floor. This is where the elevator stops to access the pool, restaurant and roof top bar. So it was a little noisy with people shuffling in and out.

Pros - great location, friendly staff Cons - not too clean (found nail clippings), noisy - even without windows. Was there NYE and they wanted another 1.4 million dong to watch fireworks from the rooftop.

The biggest disadvantage of this hotel is the rooms are very old and worn down. I might be able to accept 3 nights due to the great location. However, the carpet of the room smells really bad. The room is also too moisty this makes the air uncomfortable and hard to breathe. This hotel will definitely not be on my list of hotel choices next time I am in Hanoi unless they have improved the rooms significantly. We booked 2 x Superior rooms for 3 nights.

The staff is nice but the hotel is run down. The lobby can fool you. Once we got into our room it was dirty and run down. The floor/carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed with toe nail clippings around the bathroom. There were little tiny bugs I kept finding. Not a comfortable stay at all

Vi boede under trappen op til sky bar, svimmingpool og morgenmad, så det var ikke særligt sjovt. Vi havde en masse larm af folk der gik op og ned ad trapperne så vi fik ikke sovet særlig meget. Bortset fra det var det et skønt hotel vi har bare været uheldige, vi havde heldigvis kun en overnatning.

Great central location in the old quarter makes getting around easy. Comfortable rooms with good beds and English tv channels. The aircon broke in our room on day 2 and they moved us to a lower floor which was a bit noisier from the street. Nice rooftop pool and high standard breakfast.

The junior suite was quite small and hotel is small in general but that looks to be the case for most hotels in the Old Quarter. Similar to European hotels. Location is very central in the Old Quarter. Walkable to some of the attractions near the Lake.

This is the third time that I have stayed at Rex Hanoi, the staff are fantastic, especially Rose at reception, nothing is too much trouble for her. She helped us rearrange our room without any hassles. Hotel is in a great position near the lake. Try for a higher room as street noise can be a bit loud from the lower floors.

A lovely stay in an area central to everything but quiet too. I wouldn’t book a room without a window again for more than 1 night as the air purifier is quite loud but the rest of the facilities are excellent.

Room smelly. Shower head broken, water system running through the wall to my room super loud and noisy when I use the water. Not meeting its 4 star hotel condition. I checked in with VIP access guest but I am not getting any of the benefits or even told about the offer. Plus not even feel as guest to the hotel. Let a lone the VIP access treatment.

La note aurait été bien meilleure si nous n'avions pas pris le service de taxi pour l'aéroport avec l'hôtel, 18euros, un taxi qui conduit comme un dingue de façon extrêmement dangereuse mais aussi et surtout une personne très désagréable qui n'a même pas fait l'effort de nous dire un mot basique comme "bonjour". Cela n'est pas acceptable lorsque l'on paye ce prix.m, avec un grab nous aurions payé 50% de moins pour un bien meilleur service. Pour le reste, l'hôtel est bien situé, confortable et calme.

It's a good hotel but it's not like the REX Hotel I have stayed in Ho Chi Minh which is a real 5 star. I've heard the owners are completely different as well. But for the price and the amazing location, I still enjoyed it. It's 2 min away by walk from the famous Shark building and my room was relatively quiet on the 10th floor. The tour they recommended me with Heritage Travel was excellent and I was able to use their very modern and new bus tour and had an excellent tour guide. The breakfast buffet was very good. I only wish some of the staff at the lobby were friendlier. I met a lot who were very kind, but also some who seemed to be colder or careless during the check-in. I would say it's only 1 or 2 people out of many, so in general I am still satisfied with my 5 nights in this hotel.

We had an excellent experience at Rex Hanoi Hotel. All the staff were very attentive and provided phenomenal service (reception, doormen, facilities, room service, and dining service staff). Vivian and all the dining service staff were exceptional. We recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay within Hanoi's Old Quarter area for its great location, thoughtful staff, and yummy breakfast.

The front desk was absolutely amazing. I’m so sorry. I don’t remember her name, but she was super helpful and helping me get a Grab ride, giving me directions to the best shopping and so much more everybody there, the entire staff was really great. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay at the Rex Hotel , the staff went above and beyond to help us navigate our first trip to Vietnam . I arrived to the property Friday night, which was not a good time because they close off the streets in the old quarter. I had to walk with my luggage about five minutes to reach the hotel because the taxi could not drop me off in front. this was not a good start to my stay at the hotel. The hotel should’ve made me aware that this could happen if arriving at this time on the weekends. my only reason for staying in Hanoi was to transfer to ha long for a cruise. The room was average and very small, but expected being how close it is to the lake. The breakfast buffet was very good. The staff did their best I would not return to this hotel I would select a higher priced higher rated.

Upon entering the hotel we were greeted and welcomed with hot tea.......lovely. Our luggage was stored while waiting for our room to become ready. We had breakfast every morning and the staff and food selection was outstanding. We ate dinner in the evening twice and found the food to be very good. The Sky bar was enjoyed and overall we recommend the hotel. Thanks for the enjoyable stay at the Rex Hotel.

This was my 2nd stay after traveling around Vietnam for a couple of weeks. Breakfast was a great way to start the day with a perfect mix of Asian and Western cuisine. Plenty of this to see and do and all within walking distance. Very friendly staff and a special mention to Ms Hannie at the front desk who always welcomed you with the biggest smile and ready to help in any way possible. I will be definitely staying at the Rex Hanoi next time I visit, wonderful property.
