Savoy Hotel

Although decor in room was in need of a spruce up . The bed was very comfy , shower excellent, towels lovely white and fluffy . Only saw person who checked us in once and unfortunately not even a smile or hello. Wish the lift had been working though bit of a struggle for a 72 year old to climb stairs . Really no further problems and very good for the price .

Took ages to check in as no one was around. Only 1 of the 2 rooms was ready for the check in time at 3. Credit to the bloke working he was helpfull and freindly. The room 6 where my mom stayed looked modernised and nice where as mine upstairs at 24 was old and worn with the shower temperature keep changing so couldnt shower my 2 year old as it kept going to hot for her. Beds are advertised as queen but they are a double. Parking is tight only 3 spaces.

Sea view was spectacular. Recently decorated and very clean. We were on the third floor and the lift was not working. My 79 year old husband struggled with this. When i asked about breakfast, I was informed that they were serving breakfast next week.

Beautiful sea view from our shared balcony which really could of done with a clean. Staff were lovely and could not do enough. They let us check in early. We had the the quad family room. Very quite and with free parking on site.

Then time checking i was hmmm uncomfortable very rude guy or owner behind what i think it was counter , i book booked a double with on en suite, he replied we don't have only a double with shared bathroom mmm mmm no no sorry i replied. I stood my ground and was give a room . Okay no lift two flights of stairs then the room. Omg smell hit you when walking in damp and cold not heating on, lighting one very bright main light one small over head ligh not working big crack in glass. Omg shower black mold around rim , toilet was clean. Ventilation one handle broken very windy out and cold so tucked up the curtain and the cill and it was full of water. No fir the best part. Was in Weston-super-Mare to meet up with old work mates, the for one mate call me to say im not allowed to the room hmmmm what never hear this in my intier lift, then two over mates call me as just come up . The so call guy or owner i think he is siad no one is allowed to the room. Down i goes said come up to my mate come up, omg shouted at me really aggressive stop this . So okay said to my mate totally embarrassed i be back i two minute's and i was with my bag not even opened back down stairs said to the guy i need refund i pushed his buttons as i know you have to contact Hotels.com . So basically guys i would take my advice on what the exterior looks like it not , interior omg wards 4 its a sh-t hole .

Lets be honest, it is a very old hotel with evidently no money being invested in it, old carpet, old furniture, issues with windows closing properly and in a poor state. Heres the thing, i stayed there last minute and they guy at reception was polite and efficient, nice guy. The room was clean, bed and bedding comfortable. Parking is limited and at the front of the hotel, i had no issues with this. Not a romantic place at all although the 4 people next door seemed to have a lot of head board banging fun, not the kind of place you'd complain about noise. All that said, clean, safe and comfortable. I would consider staying again, you get what you pay for here and its cheap so set expectations accordingly.

Was very poor quality no lift and room was up two flights of stairs roomwas not good window would not lock bathroom was down a hall way shard by several rooms shower was up another flight of stairs not accessible if you have arthritis

Basic and ok for a one night stay. No breakfast which was the only downside and lots of stairs so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues.

With a passable rating I wasn’t sure before arriving but it should have a higher score Reception staff was fantastic ,great location ,great set up Only small niggles is it needs more plugs in the room and it’s a few flights of stairs with no lift but otherwise fantastic for the price

This should not be on the hotels.com website. The hotel should be closed down. Diety nappy in what we were told was a car park, broken furniture at the rear of the building, the reception area was completely bare of furniture and smelt of poo. We walked in and walked out again. Distusting. We didnt stay there. I want my money back. It looked like an abandoned building.

Very dated,smelt musty not, very clean

Checked straight out and checked into the Premier Inn. No working lock on door. Toenails on carpet. Stains on fabric. Awful. We have complained and are awaiting a response from Hotels.com

Room was like prison cell , you open the door and there were old style sink in front. Shower was badly painted not cleaned. Paint drops all over the showroom. Toilet door didn't close at all .old window did not close properly. Very bad with cleaning as well. Bad experience.

This should not be a hotel. Its filthy disgusting place. If i can have found another hotel i would hve left. It smelt damp the decoration was very dated wallpaper peeling off walls shower was disgusting. Will never stay here ever again

There was chewing gum stuck to the wall next to the bed the cupboard door was nailed on so when I went to open the door came off In my hand and fell on my foot shower was dirty and the view from window was stairs with loads of rubbish absolutely not happy with the stay

Old and smelly very noisy people slamming doors shooting at 1am in morning nobody around staff wise to complain had to be moved shower was broken other room light fitting on wall was flicking was lose faulty booked 2 days came home after one night nothing like photos would never stay there again

Sadly quite dirty , cobwebs , stains down walls , furniture falling apart , dirty shower , stinky carpet. Only thing decent was the bed linen ! Wish I’d taken photos ☹️

This is the worst place I have ever been to. Dirty, neglegent staff, the place is filled with mould that it smells like dead feet. I wouldnt wish that on my worst enemy!!

You get what you pay for and this stay was budget. Considering this fact the bedding was immaculately clean and the ensuite was clean, although it had many things that needed addressing. The room itself felt very, very tired and had an unpleasant smell (damp/lack of use). This was manageable for one night and I purchased a gel air freshener. I did sleep well on the comfy bed but the smell would put me off returning.

This is a 2* syate jotel fully reflected in ots price. Part of the H&H group. Booked via Hotels.com and problems weeks before we arrived. Clearly H&H had been hacked. I received 2 WhatsApp messages from S American countries, with my name, booking ref and dated. Looked genuine asking me to register my card to secure booking, 'no number would be taken'. Firstly this hotel has no contact number, after digging around i was able to message their contact centre. The non English person was fully aware of what was going on, i wonder is the Data commissioners office was informed. No proactive contact from H&H or Hotels.com. Probably run by a Turkish company and staff as on arrival the chap was not very talkative and remained alloof. No lift and we had room on 2nd floor, number 14. They have a lift but its bust. With a wave of his arm, parking was around the side/back. Covered in rubbish and a lot of broken glass. Room was stud walls so you could hear everything outside, cheap room, cheap guests. Opened the door and it it smelt, improved once you pulled back the curtain to the bathroom area and a 2nd one to the window. Improved with a change of air. Toilet and wash basin in a very cramped room. Bed has 1 soft pillow per person. 1 power socket by door with long extension lead across wall to TV. TV has no connections and only online services available. Kettle had to be put on chair to make a connection, or unplug TV. Bed was clean, room was clean, which raised it from Terrible to Poor.

Only stopped for 2 nights with my GF. Hotel is very much in need of a rejuvenation but u get what u pay for for. Had 2 great nights sleep. Good views from window. Very hot shower. Room needs electrical work as on 1 socket by door with extension lead plugged in going all way over door frame and along wall to plug TV in, also kettle had to be put on the floor to use this socket. Would go again for a brief stay but nothing longer

It was a good stay and clean. The only issue is that the door wouldn't lock correctly, and there was only 1 plug in the family room. The room could also do with a mini-fridge, but I liked the room and the lovely seaside view. The staff left us in peace, which was a nice change from other hotels.

Clean. Good temperature. Nice bathroom (Savoy, make sure that you get enough air in so that it stays nice and not get damp). Bedroom clean, beds comfortable (not the highest quality but perfectly serviceable). Carpets are ready for the museum (downstairs) but clean and probably v good quality.... just old fashioned. We had sea-facing rooms and with the window open the motorbikes on the seafront were a bit noisy. Good TV choice.

Me and my boyfriend got a double bed with an en suite for 4 days, 3 nights. The hotel was adequately close to the Pier without being too loud and provided some nice spots for sightseeing. There was a Premier nearby with wonderful staff and great options for when you don't want to walk far for snacks and drinks. However, cleanliness could be improved as I found a dead mosquito in the shower. The TV was great and offered many options to sign into YouTube, Netflix, Disney+ and more. The free WiFi wasn't the best at times though. We received two small sachets of body wash/shampoo for which wasn't enough for our stay so I recommend bringing your own shampoo and conditioner. Unfortunately, we did not receive a breakfast despite it being a B&B which was disappointing as this was not advertised. They did offer a community fridge and microwave though which both worked well. The room provided a kettle, coffee, teabags, milk, sugar and biscuits as well as two small towels and two big towels for two people which was great. Another good quality was the extension cord which was very long and allowed us to charge our phones in bed. Overall, I recommend this property but it should be noted that it is currently undergoing some renovations/maintenance.

Live electric sockets hanging close to shower ,sockets not fixed hanging loose.

The Hotel is a little dated however the manager made up for this as nothing extre was too much trouble for him. We arrive before the check in time as we had to travel to Bristol to see Concorde at 16.00 and we were allowec access tp our room early.

Great location. Clean rooms but need updating and a refresh. Easy check in and and friendly staff. Would definitely return!

The receptionist was lovely and polite.The room was clean and adequate. The only issue I had was even though the heating was on it was still cold in the room .

Avoid at all costs! Disgusting hotel, everything looks tacky and dirty. The room itself was awful we couldn’t believe what a state we had to stay in , luckily only for one night . Didn’t want to touch anything because everything looked dirty , and it was full of drunks and druggies screaming and shouting all night and the walls are paper thin so you hear absolutely everything. Advertised as staff on reception 24/7 however we only saw one member of staff when we first checked in just to grab the key, we didn’t go into the room as we were rushing out for the day so when we arrived on the night at about 10pm there was no staff and we walked into the worst room we’ve ever set foot in, then the next morning again no staff on reception so we just had to leave the key there. What an absolute waste of money this hotel was over £70 for one night and I’d rather have slept outside in our car ! Oh and a towel lay on the floor by the toilet like a bath mat! No shower in room either just a sink and toilet

Receptionist took ages to acknowledge we were there he was also video calling with someone . Room was clean and tidy . The shower did not work

We got there after booking they rang us countless times even at 930pm to ask if we was still coming must of been at least 6times they rang us then once we got there they couldnt find the booking must of been at least 20mins we was waiting at the entrance but seemed to find the booking.ive stayed at a lot of hotels but never in my life have u ever had a hotel.ring me 6times to confirm i was comi g even after i had payed for it.its a simple b&b so dont expect much one thing i will.say is i had the best sleep in years simple tea& coffie and telly works the lights were dangerous i will have to say as i had kids and kept sparking but view was nice .

I tried to cancel my reservation due to the storm which bought a risk to life in the area. The staff and the manager did not see this as a reasonable excuse for cancelling a reservation despite the dangerous weather right outside their door. A bit of common sense would go along way in training their staff. And to receive a phonecall after midnight asking if i had checked in okay despite me telling them on the phone earlier in the day that i will not be coming. Very unprofessional

No food options, but was a room with microwave in you could heat some food in. Didnt bother me as we ate out anyway. Bed was very comfortable. We came back to the apartment at around 9pm. We watched a film on the tv (netflix already logged in), which was a very pleasent surprise. We had a beautiful view from the balcony. Was so nice to wake up to of a morning. Overall cleanliness wasnt the best but not that bad that we couldnt stay, we didnt take much notice. Only encountered one member of staff, the man who checked us in. He was lovely and helpful. We would stay again. Cheap ane cheerful.

Had to wait 5mins to check in. I was under the impression the place is bed and breakfast but absolutely no food available. I'll be seeking compensation as I'd paid for breakfast as per the website. Will not be returning there.

There is NO Dining in this Hotel, room was supposed to have Sea View and a Wardrobe there was neither. Shower and toilet unfinished 3 steps to use either without hand rail. This Hotel was good location but needs a lot of investment in it. The Gentleman that was on reception was very pleasant, polite and very helpful.

There were no food options. Having booked online I only discovered on arrival that breakfast was not included. The bed would have been suitable for someone who likes soft beds, but it was too soft for me, and I went home two days early suffering with a bad back. Could only get cold water in shower.
