The closest parking is like 4 blocks away/5 min walk but it’s easy to get around and very safe. Outside of that, the staff was amazing and allowed us to drop off our bags super early so we could enjoy the city before checking in, once we checked in our bags were waiting for us in our room. Incredible service!! The location was perfect but the staff made it incredible. The best thing was the amazing and professional staff that tended to all of our needs.

This place was nice. We had breakfast there and it was really good. If you want to take pictures under the Arch this hotel is literally under the Arch. Just wake up early take picture in the morning to beat the crowd. The only negative thing the hotel has no parking.

You definitely cannot beat the location of this hotel! Our room was spacious and clean. The rooms are spread around the property so I'd imagine you have different experiences depending on where you are - ours was in the restaurant others were less central which may have offered more quiet and privacy. The fountain in the entrance courtyard is beautiful and our kids enjoyed the playground while we had meals on the back terrace. The restaurant is excellent and makes dining super easy. Definitely an all around great experience! A wonderful stay in a wonderful city!

El hotel está ubicado en el Arco de Santa Catalina, el lugar más iconico de Antigua Guatemala. Nos quedamos en el área privada del hotel, qué es muy tranquila, pero solo sales a la calle y encuentras diversión por doquier. Buenos restaurantes, bares y discos a la vuelta de la esquina. La iglesia de la Merced esta a una cuadra y puedes ver procesiones muy hermosas y disfrutar de las comidas locales a un precio muy accesible en la plaza de la Merced. El lugar es ideal, muy concurrido por lo que es difícil encontrar parqueo. Pero la ubicación y el personal del hotel son de lo mejor.

Precio muy caro si derecho a desayuno. Piscina lejos y pagada. Parqueo lejos y no incluído. Sin presión de agua en habitación. Lo único las camas cómodas y buena ubicación pero no lo recomendaré.

For an old hotel you don’t expect air conditioning ,level walking areas . It is very charming and the restaurant is actually fantastic. it’s convenient to everything but being under the arch you get harassed by sellers of souvenirs

wonderful space, historical ample spaces. Always nice to have an excellent restaurant. We had a 4 year old, so the area for children was excellent. Gardens lovely. The rooms are large and well=appointed. Location excellent. The only problem was the hard bed. I folded the extra blanket to sleep on.

Muy bien ubicado, el edificio es hermoso aunque está un poco descuidado, yo lo visité hace diez años y estaba mejores condiciones, la cama era dura, tenían una de esas duchas Lorenzetti apenas y calentaba el agua y encontré una cucaracha en el baño.

El unico pero que le pongo es el estacionamiento. Que se encuentra retirado del hotel. El cual hay q pagarlo aparte. Y otra cosa q me gustaria pudieran solucionar es el olor a humedad que tiene, fuera de eso. Exelente trato. Y atencion.

The room was dirty, floors and especially the bathroom. The sink and shower were dirty. When we first arrived to the room, I saw something small crawling on the floors. I assume were bugs from the plants on the outside of the room. When I went to the bathroom, there was a roach with an egg in the shower. What I thought were insects crawling, were small roaches! It was after 12 midnight when we arrived back to the hotel, there was no one at the front desk at that time. I couldn’t sleep thinking they’ll crawl on the bed. I complained the following day and was told that it was exterminated three days ago. I won’t recommend this hotel to no one. Awful!!

First our room was a great value! Big room, nice bathroom and had a large ceiling and floor fan. Everything was super clean, the atrium and foyer areas were immaculate Gardens!!! There was always a staff member to help you with the door, and when they weren’t helping you with luggage or opening the door, they were cleaning the floors in the windows and picking up and straightening in the garden. A young man slept on the couch beside the gate door to the outside street Making us feel very safe. Literally a 50 yard walk put you in the middle of Antigua‘s busiest tourism spot, however, the room was perfectly quiet. Of all our stays in Antiqua this was our favorite hotel. It was a great value. It was a great location. And had all the qualities you want in a hotel. The only downside, was they didn’t offer air conditioning, however, because of the shade and the style of the room and the large windows a ceiling fan and floor fan was all anyone would ever need.

I stayed at Hotel Santa Catalina and overall, it was an okay experience, but there were a few issues. The hotel is well-located — it’s close to everything, and the staff is genuinely kind and helpful, which I really appreciated. However, the room could use some improvements. There was no hot water, so I had to shower with cold water. The WiFi didn’t work, which was frustrating. I also found a bug in the room, the TV was outdated, and the bathroom mirror was placed too high — I couldn’t even see myself properly. If you’re looking for a basic place with a good location and friendly staff, it might work for you. But if comfort, functionality, and amenities are important to you, this might not be the right fit.

What I loved was the location! Everything is nearby! What I didn’t like was; beds were hard, bathroom was so small and No AC ! We got a fan from the staff but it was so noisy!! Also be careful with bugs ! There was a huge spider on my shoe.

Property was beautiful and very conveniently located downtown close to everything, staff was very friendly and helpful The only down side was the mattress was very HARD not comfortable at all. Our stay was 3 days and my back and hips was sore from the bed. I did mention it to front desk and they did offer to change our room but I was hesitant that it would be the same plus it was located by the street now and the noise was going to be an issue. I did enjoy my stay despite the HARD BED situation.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. The location was convenient to basically anything you would want to see or do in Antigua, also pretty convenient for catching shuttles, taxis and tuk-tuks. I think the only complaint I would have is that the water in the shower only stayed warm for about 2 minutes.

The hotel itself is in a great location and it's pretty but they need to decide if they're better off as a restaurant or as a hotel. It was extremely noisy. My bedroom window was 1 meter away from a restaurant table so I heard noise breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There was no A/C but I couldn't open the window at all since it led directly to a table in the restaurant. Literally 1 meter away from the table. Hot water did not work at night and barely worked in the morning. The room itself was nice but if you want to rest as I did it's a bad option, very noisy, lack of privacy, and it gets hot since you cant open the window at all and there's no AC.

El ruido fue muy incomodo. A las 7am de un Domingo en el patio interno habian bebes llorando, empleados con wlakie talkies altos coordianndo y a laas 8am una banda en vivo para un brunch dominical. Los cuartos estan en el patio central. No habia manera de descansar. El check in y check out fue lento. El agua tardo mucho en calentar.

La actitud de la recepcionista fue fatal, el cuarto que nos dieron no tenía ventilación (ni extractor, NADA) por tanto la humedad se encerraba mucho, no había ventilador o aire acondicionado. No nos dejaron papel de baño, el calentador del agua no funcionaba. Nos comentaron que por el restaurante podía haber ruido hasta las 10 pm y no había problema pero el viernes hay un bar a un lado y el ruido excesivo estuvo hasta la madrugada y complicó el sueño La ubicación es muy buena y si tuvieran mejor servicio y ventilación sería un gran hotel, que lástima porq el concepto es bonito

Beautiful place to stay. Very convenient walking distance to everything in Antigua. Magda, at the front desk was very helpful and everyone was exceptionally friendly. The beds are somewhat hard for my level of comfort, but we still enjoyed our stay very much.

Folks at the front desk were exceptional in service and friendliness. Landry service was also excellent. A bit noisy with the bell outside and restaurant adjacent to rooms. However, I’ve needed earplugs for most of my trip in Guatemala. Great location with good restaurants right across the street. And La Tortilla cooking school is close by.

This place was nice. We had breakfast there and it was really good. If you want to take pictures under the Arch this hotel is literally under the Arch. Just wake up early take picture in the morning to beat the crowd. The only negative thing the hotel has no parking.

The location was great, it's located near main attractions in Antigua wich it made it too crowded and loud , and sometimes hard if you're trying to rest after a long day.

Right under the arch, this hotel is an old convent. The room we stayed in is large and rustic, opening out onto an interior garden that is is exquisite. The property is safe and in the middle of the action! It is 2 blocks to the Central Park and a block from the Merced Cathedral. There are restaurants, coffee shops, ATM machines, street venders, tuktuks, taxis, and abundant beauty just steps outside your door.

The hotel is historic yet quite functional, and excellently located. The staff were very cooperative in every way, as long as you enjoy a leisurely breakfast - and when we needed it quicker, they delivered. Being in the center of things meant there could be local noise at times, so early or light sleepers might prefer a less centrally located hotel.

Esperaba mucho más es un hotel viejo e icónico y ya. Me asignaron una habitación en el área anexa, fuera del hotel😥, aunque había buena atención del personal no estás dentro del complejo. El desayuno ( con costo) malo y moscas en el área. Lo relevante, la atención de la gente.

I really liked the location and the room size. I didn’t like that they didn’t clearly state that you shouldn’t drink the tap water . Once I asked about this they directed me down the hall to a water fountain and paper cups, no bottled water in the room or glasses so you could fill up at the fountain and bring it to your room. Also, there was no coffee maker in the room, which is fine but I’d hoped that there was a place to get yourself a cup of coffee 24/7. Instead you had to go to the restaurant the but only restaurant hours to order a coffee.

Hotel is located and it is part of an iconic sight in Antigua, The Arch of Santa Catalina, I stayed one night, room was excellent, no issues with the services, their restaurant offers a nice variety of fresh, home style prepared food, front desk staff was extremely attentive , professional, restaurant staff was likewise professional and friendly, room rates was comparable to similar hotels, I will definitely come back to the Convento
