I had a pleasant experience during my stay. The hotel has a charming atmosphere and is in a great location—just a short walk to Central Park, shops, restaurants, and more. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the terrace on the 2nd floor offers a magnificent view of the volcanoes. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for a few reasons. The bedding could use an upgrade—new sheets and pillowcases would improve the overall comfort. I was also a bit concerned about safety at night. When someone rings the doorbell late at night, the front desk attendant opens a small window to see who it is and then unlocks the door. I recommend installing a security camera and a guest ID system to ensure only registered guests are allowed in during late hours. Lastly, I returned to my room around 2:30 p.m. and noticed it still hadn’t been cleaned, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel with great potential, and I hope to see these small improvements implemented on my next visit.

Favorite hotel I stayed in for the value. This was affordable, safe and clean. They have an abundance of comfortable outdoor seating areas and a rooftop terrace with views of the volcanoes. Convenient walkable location near the center of Antigua. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Rooms were simple but modern and had everything we needed. Free coffee was available 24/7. I would stay here again.

The property is in a convenient location and it is easy to walk everywhere. They have a sister hotel a block away which has a pool option if you'd like to swim or have kids who want to. During the peak season of Holy Week the prices everywhere are steeper but rhe hotel is - Definitely worth a visit!

The location is great, some rooms are good, parking is just on the street in front of the hotel and No breakfast. Be careful, we ordered two rooms with Expedia and it was great. However, we decided to stay one additional night and the price at Expedia was lower than the first day because of that they wanted to place us in a room with a smell of Mildew and dump. Obviously, we had to add money in order to move back to our original room.

Great place to stay in Antigua! The staff were great and very knowledgeable. They helped us with our luggage and the logistics of our room. It’s a beautiful area to relax and their rooftop lounge area made the stay even more worthwhile. Highly recommend!!

Pros: Location 24/7 access in and out of hotel Peacocks visitors in early morning hours The inn itself is charming Cons: Bed sheets had stains Very small bathroom Had one small window in my room that faced the hallway in the hotel so I did not feel comfortable to leave it open as a solo traveler. My room was directly across the staff kitchen and they would start making loud noise as early as 5am. The breakfast wasn’t great — I’d save the money and hit town for breakfast.

Both rooms I stayed in had sewer gases leaking into bathroom. Give tips directly to housekeepers rather than leaving them in room at checkout; otherwise, they may not receive them.

One of the older women working reception was rude. She kept making a big deal that we had only placed 1 person on the reservation even though we told her we were okay with paying the fee. When my friend asked her for the restroom as we were checking in she told her to wait…as opposed to signaling her the restroom while she was assisting us. We had all just travel from lake atitlan. I am a native Spanish speaker and there was nothing said to her or done to her that could have made her act this way.. she was just weird and rude. The inside of the rooms are okay. The beds were not comfy and both of the comforters were stained. The worst part was the mold smell coming from the bathroom. The rooms on the ground level were pretty noisy. You could hear the workers cleaning and talking to each other. It’s good if you’re looking for a budget hotel on a nice property. The pool at the hotel by the park was very nice and quaint. I’d probably stay there next time :)

Easy access coming Guatemala city. Dirty towels, dirty bedsheets, a lot of noise from employees using walkie talkies, old peacock constantly making noise at night, you have to leave your room key at the lobby and they aren't responsible for lost items, Male employee at lobby barely answers questions because he is too busy watching tiktoks, he doesn't make eye contact with you because he's just starring at his phone, you pay an average of $218 a night and there isn't even soup at the restroom, only 2 bottles of water provided for my whole stay-4 nights. The most annoying thing is how loud the employees YELL at each other on the hallway in front of your room, even when they use their walkie talkies. The water the plants at night at also make a lot of noise with the hose. I paid for an non smoking room but they have tables outside of the rooms, people smoke there and you can't do anything about it. The sign at the door says they have a pool but the DON'T have a pool.

The staff was courteous and accommodating in all interactions I had with them. Convenient location to dining, coffee shops, shopping, etc. Rooms were clean, comfortable and well maintained. I particularly appreciated the shower which was excellent. If I return to Antigua (which is such an amazing place) I would definitely stay here again. The only thing I would say is that the mattress was extra firm. I liked it but realize not all people like a very firm mattress.

We stayed in room 22 on the second floor.The room is very tiny and I've had to move sideways to enter the bathroom, otherwise entry wasn't possible.Im 6'/210lbs if that helps.We were only able to watch channel 3,no signal on other channels.There's no air conditioning in this room.The room itself was clean ,the bed was small as well.Staff was very friendly and no complaints there Fazit: If you need space,this isn't the room you want.

The staff was really nice, the rooms are quite cozy. The only bad thing is that you’re able to listen perfectly what the people next door are talking about. Because this houses are old you can listen everything, but it’s normal here in Antigua

Very nice affordable property within walking distance of the main olaza and el Arco. The staff was friendly and nice breakfast for $ 8 dollars each. Woukd recommend but no air conditioning during hot months.

Hotel was comfortable with friendly staff and good location. Only downside was how noisy it was - the walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone walk past, people talking and showering in their rooms, the phone ringing in reception etc. the noise seems to only stop between about 12am and 2:30am - a lot of tours from the city start very early so people are up and about. The noise meant we had disturbed sleep during our stay.

Overall, the property was good, but you can hear the other rooms quite easily and I happened to be there on a night when there was a large group of American teenagers and they met in the common area outside my room until after 10 PM, were loud until about midnight, and then were banging around and talking loudly from 4 AM to 5 am because they had an early departure. I realize this isn’t entirely the hotel’s fault but I feel like I signed something that said I’d be quieter after 9 PM so I feel like the hotel could have reminded them to be a little quieter. Also, then a staff member opened my door at about 5 am. I had the chain on. I assume he thought it was one of the vacated rooms but he really should have checked. I don’t think that has happened to me ever before. My first night was much better and it is a convenient location. Otherwise the staff was friendly.

Great place to stay in Antigua! The staff were great and very knowledgeable. They helped us with our luggage and the logistics of our room. It’s a beautiful area to relax and their rooftop lounge area made the stay even more worthwhile. Highly recommend!!

Tuvimos que dejar el paseo con mi familia (que ya estaba todo pagado) para ir a ver “el problema”: nuestras cosas mojadas, todo inundado, el personal con una actitud mediocre y soberbios ! Pedí hablar con alguien encargado y así fue, al menos su trato fue aceptable y amable tras una situación así, en la que la ÚLTIMA PERSONA QUE TUVO CULPA fui yo. Aún así, la solución que daban era una noche gratis ahí o en otro de sus hoteles, lo cual no me interesaba en lo absoluto después de la experiencia con ellos. Todo mal !!! (Pudieron haber ofrecido el transporte, el pago del paseo que perdí por su culpa, pero no, solo pensaban en una noche gratis ahí o en otro hotel!) Durante todo este tiempo esperando que secaran nuestras cosas, pedí una botella pequeña de agua y me la cobraron en 8 quetzales. SERVICIO MEDIOCRE, DE MUY BAJA EDUCACIÓN Y CATEGORÍA. Hotel Las Camelias is very clean and the staff is very friendly. It is located a few blocks from the main parque central but close enough to get to everything within a few minutes. As two women traveling together, we felt very safe.

Pros: Location 24/7 access in and out of hotel Peacocks visitors in early morning hours The inn itself is charming Cons: Bed sheets had stains Very small bathroom Had one small window in my room that faced the hallway in the hotel so I did not feel comfortable to leave it open as a solo traveler. My room was directly across the staff kitchen and they would start making loud noise as early as 5am. The breakfast wasn’t great — I’d save the money and hit town for breakfast.

This is a beautiful hotel recommended by friends who live in Guatemala and stay here when visiting Antigua. It did not disappoint. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Only disappointment was we were planning to have breakfast here each day but were told they were not offering it in November. Not sure why. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly, but the room was much smaller than we expected. My husband is 6 feet tall, and even he had a hard time fitting comfortably in the bathroom. There also wasn’t enough space for two people to walk side by side around the bed without squeezing past each other. I think it would be very helpful if the hotel listed the square footage of each room on the booking page so guests have a better idea of how small the rooms actually are before making a reservation. That said, I do want to recognize the staff for doing their best to make things right. We stayed for six nights. The first two nights were in the very small room, then they were able to move us to a larger room in the same hotel. For the remainder of our stay, they accommodated us by moving us to one of their neighboring hotels, where we had a much more comfortable room. We really appreciated their efforts to resolve the situation and make the rest of our stay more enjoyable.

The bathrooms are extremely small, we couldn't sit properly. On our last day there were some missionaries signing loudly in the morning at around 7 AM right outside our door in the courtyard. We had returned from a hike the previous day and wanted to get some sleep. When we spoke to the management they were utterly unhelpful.
