Hotel Derby Sevilla

Great hotel in central Seville. Only thing was they advertised parking....which was in a garge 2 blocks away. I had to roll my luggage thru an underground garage, up two levels, thru a shopping mall, and across the street to get to the hotel. And parking was 20 Euro a day. Thru the rain. I specifically looked for hotels with parking options, but didn't expect this. Otherwise, nice clean hotel with helpful staff and great location.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Some photos indicated a pool- but there isnt one. It's a great location and we enjoyed being able to walk to local sites.

Property is clean and it’s in a safe location. Only complaint is that there is no ramp at the entrance and you have to carry your luggage up 5 steps

Nice central location for historical center with parking close by (chargeable but reasonable for city center) nice friendly staff and generous breakfast

El Hotel me pareció muy bueno en general, tranquilo, un hotel para estar en familia, sin ruido, las camas y almohadas cómodas, y el personal housekepping muy amable, lo que no me gustó fue el acceso de escaleras con maletas y no hay ningún personal que ayude a subirlas o bajarlas, esta parte es incómoda, así como los amenities del baño, pues aún usan botellitas y no dispensadores, se genera mucho desperdicio.

Perfectly located in the central area minutes away from shops and key sites. The bed was super comfortable and there is a nice lounge and rooftop terrace. Breakfast had a decent selection - breakfast room is quite small but there is the option to take it on the terrace. Able to store luggage if arriving before check-in time.

Great location and nice hotel. Breakfast is excellent. The rooftop is nice to relax with a cold drink.

No onsite parking, and no valet. Getting in/out of the hotel with bags was not easy. Breakfast was in a different hotel due to renovations, not convenient. Location was great and rooms were very nice, but probably won't come back, it was too much of a hassle.

La posizione eccellente! circondata di negozi e vicina a tutte le attrazioni. Il personale gentile e disponibile. Pulizia al top, sia nella stanza che nei luoghi comuni. La camera arredata con gusto e spaziosa. Al 4 piano c'è un salotto e un terrazzo con vista alla città. La colazione a buffette con salato e qualche cosa dolce, forse questo è l'unico punto più fiacco del hotel, ma poco rilevante nel confronto di tutto il resto.

Hotel is centrally located, friendly and engaging personnel. Property is clean and well maintained. I will definitely stay here again.

On the face of it a well positioned hotel with a nice well lit room. Only first story but pretty quiet. Service especially from the lady on the front desk in the evening was good However while elements of the decor clearly required attention the worst element was the odour in our room, which they handed over to us in this state and then tried to mask with spray….over clean towels. The odour reduced and then returned. The sight of a beetle in the reception was not encouraging, but this was reported to reception immediately. If they get to grips with it, this could be a fine hotel

Perfeita localização! Eu amei a região. Hotel limpo, todos os funcionários muito simpáticos. Voltarei com certeza.

Struttura pulita con camere molto spaziose, posizione centralissima. La colazione non l'abbiamo provata e quindi non possiamo dare un parere. Terrazza molto bella con bella vista, piacevole per un momento di relax come il salone adiacente. Camera spaziosa senza moquette! Finalmente! con armadio e cassaforte, che non guasta mai. Bollitore a disposizione. Personale sempre con il sorriso dalla reception ai servizi alle camere. Buona insonorizzazione verso l'esterno, verso l'interno un po meno, abbiamo avuto un problema con i vicini di camera estremamente rumorosi causa sbronza e relativo malessere (l'insonorizzazione maggiore non avrebbe evitato) e ci è stata data la possibilità di cambiare camera, cosa non necessaria perchè andavano via, ma se avessimo voluto sarebbe stato possibile, il che non è sempre scontato. Posizione perfetta e buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Unica nota un po negativa e il cattivo odore che saliva dal pozzetto del bagno che si sentiva anche nella hall, non so se ai piani superiori il problema era presente. Consiglio alla proprietà di intervenire Periodo gennaio 2023 Ci tornerei? Direi proprio di si.

I think it could be cleaner and please make sure that the coffee and tea, sugar milk are not open for the next guest. Those are the details to pay attention too. Staff most part lovely. Thank you!

Oda temizdi ve iki kişi rahatça sığdık. Konum çok iyi nerdeyse her yere yürüyerek gittik ve etrafta birçok restoran vs. vardı. Saç kurutma makinesi ikinci gün bozuldu ama lobiden ödünç makine alabiliyosunuz. Günlük temizlik biraz yetersiz geldi bize ama çok büyük rahatsızlık vermedi.

Excellent staff. Clean and roomy room

I debated to give 3 or 4 stars. The location is awesome, close to dinning, shopping, and the mushroom, very safe area. But the property shows the age. Water leaks from the shower door and the closet door is hard to slide. The worst thing is the noise, you can hear the talk and snoring clearly from next door.

Ubicación excelente pero el acabado del hotel es muy pobre. Ha sido renovado recientemente pero las paredes parecen de papel. Se oye un mensaje móvil desde el otro lado del pasillo estando en la habitación. La habitación individual es muy pequeña, con el cabezal de la cama pegado a la pared del pasillo. Resultado: oyes a todo el mundo a todas horas, incluso a altas horas de la noche. Portazos, conversaciones… dormir seguido poco. El resto muy bien

We stayed at Hotel Derby in mid-November, and the nights were quite cold. Unfortunately, the hotel had no heating. We asked the receptionist if the heat could be turned on, but she told us it wasn’t possible. The room felt cold and damp, and it was not comfortable to stay in. For a hotel of this standard, I don’t think it’s acceptable to accommodate guests at this time of year without providing heating. The only good thing about this hotel was its location. If we return to Seville in the future, we would choose a different hotel.

Some other reviews mentioned noise, but I found it quite calm and quiet. The single room isn't big, but I had everything I needed and it was clean and comfortable. This hotel is right next to an Aldi, which is perfect for those who want to stock breakfast and snack foods in their fridge. There's a taxi stand right outside and I was able to catch a cab to get to the train station at 6 a.m. Very convenient.

The only issue I had was that the AC in the room was noisy and disturbed my sleep at night.

Quarto pequeno....

Only thing was we were given a room adjacent to the elevator bank. So all day and night you could hear the elevators and their passengers conversations. So what I'm saying is ask for a room away from the elevator..

Staff is very friendly and gave me a great dinner recommendation. ( went twice to Dos De Mayo). Room is clean and location is great. It’s across the street from Corte Inglés which I enjoyed. Seville is a very walkable town. I was disappointed in having a window in an interior courtyard which was not a courtyard. It was just dark with Astro turf. That made me feel claustrophobic. My stay was good but I would not choose to stay there again because of the lack of window to the street.

Very pleasant front staff. Can hear doors slamming, so a bit noisy. A/C shut off for winter, but you can open the window. Great location.

Great location for walking to all the sites around Seville. Lots of restaurants nearby. Easy to get to from the train station. Take bus 32 from the train station for 1.40 euros (need exact cash or pay over and get no change). Takes about 7 minutes. Get off on the 5th stop at Plaza de Duque and you see the hotel. For taking the bus back to the train station you need to go around the corner in front of Burger King. Basic breakfast included. Our only disappointment was when we asked for a box breakfast since we were going on a tour and would miss breakfast. We verified the procedure two days prior. We verified the morning and night before and were assured all was in order to pick up at reception the next day, But when we went to reception to pick it up they said they had it arranged for the day after. They allowed us to race up to the breakfast room to grab a few pastries to take. Rooms are spacious but are not very soundproof as we could hear the noise from the room next door.

Excellent location walking to all the interesting and beautiful places from hotel , but the guy at reception desk when I arrived wouldn’t stand up and help me with luggage I’m 66 yrs old and there is no ramp to bring suitcase up…. Bad bad attitude

Muy atento el staff. Me prepararon un picnic de desayuno ya que debiamos salir temprano. La ubicacion del hotel es muy buena

Esperienza in chiaroscuro Location più che buona, centrale. Sistemazione in camera non grande ma funzionale e ben pulita all’arrivo, silenziosa, posta sul retro Hotel. Personale addetto alla colazione gentile. Punti dolenti la reception nel suo personale femminile, in particolare l’addetta delle ore 14,30 del 24 aprile scorso. Capisco non possa parlare o comprendere l’italiano, ma almeno l’inglese…Nemmeno. Approssimativa, avara di delucidazioni, quasi irriverente e ironica sulla nostra presenza. Chiesto la sera del 27 la prenotazione di un taxi per il giorno dopo, si sono rifiutate, la stessa addetta del primo giorno ed una sua collega, adducendo la possibilità di scaricare autonomamente un app, non curante delle nostre evidenti difficoltà nella lingua, asserendo , inoltre, ad ulteriore mia domanda, che sarebbe stato quasi impossibile, vista la feria do Abril di quella settimana, trovarli a Plaza del Duque la mattina dopo all’ultimo momento.Ho provveduto alfine, personalmente, facendomi capire, con una semplice telefonata ad un numero di taxi di Sevilla, che avrebbero potuto darmi, alla prenotazione…e la mattina dopo v’erano almeno dieci taxi in piazza.. Maleducata e canzonatoria nell’atteggiamento. Infine, non trovate le asciugamani piccole per i servizi igienici(forse loro ritenevano ci pulissimo dopo i bisogni con le mani…) e non pulito il bagno un giorno, il secondo ,della nostra permanenza.. Bah…

Great location. Walking distance to most attractions. Great shopping near by. Love that there is no carpet in the hotel. Front desk were always more then willing to help with anything we inquired about

Fairly convenient to tourist attractions, dining and walkable. Supermarket next door convenient for grocery items and taxi stand outside hotel allows for easy transit.

Hotel Derby is at Plaza del Duque, in the center of the old town district, with bus stops right in front of it and around the corner, giving you access to multiple lines stopping. It is roughly 15-20 minutes by foot from, well, most of everything. The EA bus line from the airport stops near Plaza de Armas commercial center, which is - you guessed it - roughly 15 minutes by foot.

Comfortable bed, clean surroundings and in a good location for the bus station and tourist sights. Taxi stand outside the hotel

Centrally located in the historic quarter, close to many shops and restaurants, just steps away from the hotel. Aldi supermarket next door. Las Setas is less than a 10 minute walk. The Cathedral is 20 minute walk. Very convenient hotel location. El Corte Ingles is right in front

Très bien. Dommage que le personnel ne soit pas polyglotte comme il a été indiqué sur l’annonce. Le petit déjeuner n’est pas à la hauteur de son prix.

Ottima posizione, attrazioni e mezzi pubblici a 10-15 minuti a piedi, abbiamo utilizzato l'autobus solo una volta e la navetta per l'aeroporto! Struttura pulita, accogliente, staff cordiale e gentile! Colazione abbondante, sia dolce che salata, unico problema la macchinetta per il cappuccino non ha funzionato per tutta la durata del soggiorno! in compenso hanno fornito il latte putroppo non troppo caldo! Da migliorare visto che la colazione ha un costo a parte e non è scontatissima! Consigliato!!

This is actually quite a good hotel. Clean, everything works, polite and pleasant staff, an excellent breakfast at a reasonable price. The location is really good -near to everything of interest. MY only issue is that there is no English language television channel. French, German, Italian, yes, but no BBC World or CNN or other English language channel. Overall however I recommend this hotel.

Breakfast: cold scrambled eggs a line at the only coffee machine. I think it took 5 minutes for a cuppachino.
