All in all, we enjoyed our stay at Homewood suites. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. There is a great gym facility here with free weights, cables, bench press machine, Peloton bike, ellipticals and treadmills. The pool is quite small and unfortunately the heater was not working so it was very chilly. If you are training for a polar dip, visit this hotels pool right away! The breakfast spread was very good with hot and cold options. Homeless people had left their mark in the parking lot underground but that is the case in any city these days so I cant fault the hotel. The room was stocked with clean dishes and the cook top was actually very good! You will have a pleasant stay here.

The pool heater was broken and was not informed until check in. I was told you could still go swimming but it would be very cold. It was unbearably cold. This has been the issue for many weeks apparently and no update was provided by email or on the website.

The room was fantastic: great bed, full kitchen, sitting area with sofa and chair and a desk. The bathroom was lovely also. The breakfast room has a great atmosphere and lovely view of downtown. Good selection of hot and cold items to choose from. Having a fan in the bathroom to reduce steam from showers would be desireable. During our stay, only one of the two elevators was in service. As the hotel has 15 floors, this resulted in long wait times.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were generally friendly. However, we experienced a few issues during our stay. When we returned late one evening, the parking lot was full, and we had to park elsewhere. We were given a pass for this, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the sofa bed in our room was broken when we arrived. Maintenance provided a temporary fix so that our children could still sleep on it, but it would have been too uncomfortable for adults. We also found what appeared to be mouse droppings on the sugar packets in the kitchen area. As a result, we didn’t feel comfortable using the coffee or tea supplies. When we brought this to the attention of the front desk supervisor, she suggested that the specks were chia seeds that had somehow stuck to the packets. Since we hadn’t brought any chia seeds into the room, we remained concerned and requested compensation for the discomfort of spending the night thinking there might be mice present, along with the broken sofa bed. We were ultimately refunded the parking fees ($19 per night), which we appreciated, though it felt like a small amount considering the overall cost of the stay and the inconvenience we experienced.

Property was generally not clean. Pool area was disgusting with a rusty fountain,garbage filled with dirty dipers, bandaids on floor and chewing gum. Front desk called me in the morning to move my car from one parking lot to a different one at which point I received a 160 parking ticket when I was told that is where I could park with the hotel. On top of that the fire alarm went off for no reason causing us to get soaked standing in the rain. Will not be returning and I recommend others to steer clear of this hotel.

Great central location. Room was spacious, and clean. Suite had full kitchen and living room area with separate bedroom, perfect for a young family. Property is very secure, lots of underground parking. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve had, lots of fresh variety and options for any diet. Elevators were very busy and slow, sometimes had to wait 5-10 minutes. Would definitely stay again.

My overall stay was great. The hotel was clean staff was very friendly. The only issue I had was that the curtains don’t close all the way we were able to see right into the condo across from us from our window and people could stare into our hotel room, this was extremely uncomfortable as we were able to see the people going and doing their morning routine night routine. A suggestion for this hotel is to get curtains that actually close.

First room bed was sunken and uncomfortable, also room was dark and looked into the parking garage. We requested a room change the second day, but the hotel was full, so we had to wait another day. Second room was much better, but the mattress was also a little sunken and needed to be replaced. Other than that, it was a large room, great for a long stay. The hotel is a good location and the free breakfast and fitness room were good. Front desk staff were very nice. Parking was reasonable and safe underground.

Checked out at 2 a.m. because of a banging noise every 15 to 30 seconds behind the wall of the bedroom. The hotel was empty, why they put me into a room right next to the elevators and ice machine is beyond me. Toilet didn’t flush properly. Room was clean and front desk staff were friendly. Area around the hotel is seedy with vagrants on every block. I stay at a lot of Homewood Suites and this is the first one to charge me $15 for parking in an empty lot. I won’t be back to this particular hotel.

Comfortable Stay, But Staff Could Be More Helpful I had an overall good stay at this hotel. I was there for 7 nights. The room was clean, comfortable, and the location was convenient for everything I needed. However, the staff were not very helpful when I made simple requests, such as for room service. Each time, there seemed to be an excuse rather than a solution, which was disappointing. Despite that, the hotel itself met expectations and offered a pleasant environment.

I have stayed at several Homewood Suites in Canada and all over the US. I have never stayed at one that was “Rundown” with such old and squeaky beds and broken furniture (drawer in bathroom couldn’t even close). Also they were no body wash in the dispenser , and just a small used roll of toilet paper. At checking staff was not as welcoming, she didn’t even explained where the room was…. What floor and how to get there. I had to ask her. She was very quick to just get rid of me. At check out I mentioned the problem to the

Room was nice and clean, bed comfortable. Breakfast selection was good, good flavour but everything was cold, even during a peak busy time, I ended up just eating cereal. Toaster needs replacing one piece burnt the other didn’t cook at all. The people tending the breakfast were very good.
