Check-in was smooth, the lady was very friendly. Room was clean and fairly updated. We didn't hear a peep all night! (Room 309) Elevator was loud and bumpy which was a little frightening and the back of the property had overflowing garbage cans, broken cement work and generally untidy. Not bad for the price!

Motel is older. Elevator was out of service. Lots of people appear to be living at the location. Possible government placement space. Noisy at night in the halls with people living on site.

Check-in was good, the hotel room was clean but really needs an update; outside premises need a good clean-up, there was an old mattress, old kids bicycles lying outside, there was even a toilet; carpets in the lobby needs replacement or at least a shampoo

Staff was nice, room clean. Did not have a microwave in room, so had to use communal one in lobby. Beds not very comfy. Outside property had lots of trash on grass. 2 accessible parking spots were taken up by cars that looked like they haven’t moved in months. One had flat tire.

This hotel has good fundamentals with its great location, quiet surroundings, elevator, and laundry room. However, the management really leaves a lot to be desired. The hallways have a strange odor, and the room floor was so dirty that my feet turned black immediately after walking barefoot. The wooden floorboards were also warped and creaked loudly with every step. To make things worse, the water pressure in the bathroom was very weak, making washing and showering a poor experience. I sincerely hope the management addresses these issues.

I did not end up staying here once I saw the room and the condition of the motel. The room was, filthy, to say the least. Bathtub had dirt (?) on the bottom of it- garbage from previous guests in the gloor

Second floor had at least 5 rooms where ppl found bed bugs. Room was in a general state of disrepair. Once we found out about the bed bugs on the second floor, I checked our mattresses. Absolutely filthy - strains (yellow and red).

I have stayed in motels before and had no issues with them. I did not see the red flags when I reached Motel 6, to check-in. First of all, there were a number of people hanging out in the lobby and hallways. They were not guest checking in. I was kept waiting 20 mins for a cart to bring my luggage to the room. When I got to the room, found that one of the side tables for the bed was missing. We were not aware that the toilet seat needed repairs until we went to use it. This is something the housekeeper should have noticed and reported. This led us to believe the toilet was not cleaned. The next day, there was no room service, nor were the hallways which were dirty with salt from outside cleaned up. The housekeeper was seen cleaning other rooms, but never came to our room, or even asked if we needed service. When we went out into the hallway to ask for clean towels, she was gone. This is not a place I would be returning to anytime soon.

Floor was dirty, shower curtain smelled of urine. When i first entered my hotel room it was a musty smoky odor as if someone had been smoking in the room. I honestly wouldn't stay here again.

There was a cockroach by the ice machine on the 2nd floor. The bathroom tub plug needs replacing, all cracked from years of use. The tv had limited cable. The reception didnt tell customers the wifi. Just poor all around. Thank goodness it was just 1 night. Never stay here again.

This was one of the worst motel stays I’ve ever had. The room smelled awful the moment I walked in, and there were cockroaches crawling around. The toilet and bathroom were filthy, and the entire property felt neglected and unclean. I had to leave early because it was just unbearable. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this Motel 6 to anyone.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room at least ,if not the motel had issues with the hvac system. We could not seem to control temperature and room was very warm. We had to open the window to be able to sleep. The people on the front desk brought a fan to our room for us to use. We would stay here again but will ascertain that we have a room that has a hvac system that works correctly. We noticed a lot of other vistors had their windows open as well.

Generally liked the room, but there was supposed to be a fridge; there wasn't. The young man at the front desk quickly resolved that, although it was very small. He also provided a good iron and ironing board. He was very helpful and polite.The bathroom layout was very good, especially the large counter around the sink. Biggest negative was the limited TV channels. I couldn't watch the Jays game.

This place felt like a residential apartment building with people coming in and out at all hours of the night, with their dogs, barking, talking in hallway at 230am. Doors slamming with no concern to other guests. Also very outdated interior and could not control thermostat. Will not be recommending this place.

Room was comfortable and clean. Be careful when booking, however, as the listing dor the motel said there are fridges in the room but when we checked in, the lobby said we booked a room without a fridge. Misleading advertising. The motel shouldn't list room amenities that aren't available in each room.

Convenient location and parking. Right next to the GO station and lots of options for food, etc. Definitely a little dated and nothing fancy, but the rooms were clean and were great for somewhere to shower and sleep. Staff were friendly. Only real issue that my husband and I both had were with the pillows - they were almost like couch cushions. Super thick and uncomfortable - after 2 nights my neck is definitely a little sore. Would recommend bringing your own if you can!

Very warm in the room, talked to manager about it, nothing done, A/C not working. Needed a recycle bin, never got one. My recycle accumulated everyday until i checked out. Found large insect in bathroom. Noisy hallways like residential apartment building (Late night). Staff at check in was great!

As you are aware the room was cancelled on sunday june 6th due to an unexpected change of plans. I appreciated the email confirming this that was sent immediately during the cancellation call. The staff there is very friendly, polite, efficiently and knowledgable. Extra praise for emily who was especially kind when the room was first booked. Thank you for such great staff, which had I stayed there I'm confident it would have been a good experience.

Staff at front desk were friendly. My friend and I (both female) did not feel safe and decided to check out again after about an hour. Front desk provided manager’s email without asking. Manager responded promptly and a full refund was issued. We found a lot of negative reviews afterwards which confirmed our sense of not feeling safe. I very much appreciated the manager’s response and was thankful for the refund.

Air conditionning wasn't working in first room, they gave us another room but the beds were bumpy (spring problems I guess). Police cars were on site for most of the time, even forinsic van (for 2 days). When they switch our rooms, they forgot to record it so at 1 o'clock during the night, they try to get in the room to rent it to someone else so I had to get out of bed and explain them why I was in that room. Worst motel/hotel experience ever.

Of course her name slips my mind now but the Lady at the front desk that works the week during the day is amazing! Very welcoming and checked every box to make my stay very nice. The Room was comfortable and since I had my dog there she was also comfortable. Great Job cleaning the room as all the ladies were very nice as well. Would def stay again

When we first arrived to check in, there was nobody at the desk. We had to wait almost 30 minutes for someone to show up. When we got our room keys and opened up the room it smelled terribly of cigarette smoke. We then had to go back and ask for a new room which was slightly better, it at least didn’t smell like smoke but the floor was peeling up in the bathroom. The whole motel had a terrible smell to it and the carpets in the hallways were terribly stained as well.

Good location in Whitby. Close to restaurants and GO station. Reasonable rates...HOWEVER disappointed this time: i) very poor mattress sagging and needs desperately to be replaced. ii) needed to reactivate card for the room for 2nd night and waited almost 15 minutes for clerk to appear at Front desk. Was astounded that Reception area was left unattended and unsupervised for such a long time. Anyone can enter and could cause trouble with no supervision of access. Did not feel safe or secure with such lax control at front desk. Having no one at Front desk (and entrance) exposes Hotel (and guests) to risk and creates vulnerabilties. On a positive note: 2nd time I have registered when Amanda was on (day shift) Reception. She is a REAL ASSET to the company: super courteous, efficient, helpful and great rapport with sense of humour with guests in those instances I witnessed. She needs to be commended. A bright light in this otherwise disappointing experience. I do not enjoy feeling 'vulnerable' when I am a guest in a hotel/motel. I hope management increases resources....

Usually Motel 6's are run down and dirty. My room was clean and fresh! Right off the highway. No breakfast. Coffee only in the morning. I would stay again.
