I came in with 6 kids from our basketball team , we had two rooms booked , they were very accommodating in making sure our rooms were across fdom eachother . The boys had so much fun in the pool and hot tub, the staff even gave the boys a football to play with , which everyone in the pool got involved in . Room are spacious for all the boys to hang out in Clean and comfortable

Everything was great! The only issue i had was the pool was really cloudy. I could barely see my feet on the bottom in 3 feet of water.

EV charging stations available. Nice small gym. Large pool with separate hot tub. My adult son was with us so we chose the suite. Unfortunately the sofa bed provided had a very thin and uncomfortable mattress. Breakfast had expected variety, and all items were topped up promptly.

The suite was very nice, enjoyed the pool although the hot tub was broken and shopping close by

Access to the property was limited due to construction. The pool facility was horribly dirty. The water was cloudy and a film of scum on the water with build up in the corners was evident. The hottub water was cloudy and "Brownish" in colour. The water was clear until the jets were turned on. Then a film on the water and floating debris in the pool and a stench coming from the surface was immediately obvious. The gym facility looked dirty and unorganized. Once in our "premium suite", we started to open the futon for our third child and found it was FULL of crumbs, food debris, a half eaten APPLE CORE and a DOG BONE... It had definitely not been cleaned prior to our check in. I brought this to the front desk and showed them pictures and was told, "so sorry sir, please email them and your complaint to this email". As he proceeded to point at a piece of cardboard that was taped to the front of the desk monitor with a hand written email address on it. I followed his instruction since I was not going to see any help from the guy on duty apparently. However, I have waited a week for any reply prior to reviewing online but I still have not heard any reply or seen anything done regarding my bill or otherwise. I will no longer be using this hotel when travelling in this area for our multiple sports outings or to visit family. No one else in our team will be staying here either by the sound of it.

Hotel's gym or better call it and Exercise room should be upgraded at somehow. I liked everything else in this hotel

room was not clean , cool drink bottle chips wrapper in room, bed was also not clean , and when asked to clean the bed next day , then also it was not cleaned.

The person who checked us in was friendly and welcoming. The elevator and hallways were not clean. The room was grotesquely dirty and smelly. Stains on the carpet and furniture, cracked basin in the bathroom. The worst of all was we noticed that the grate through which the heating/AC air passed was filthy, so we used damp tissues to wipe it. The door it was part of was ajar and when we opened it, the furnace filter was so clogged there was no way it could have been changed in the past year. Passing damp tissues over the metal grill on the furnace produced a large ball of thick dust. Absolutely disgusting. Had we not booked a non-refundable rate on Expedia there is no way we would have stayed

We recentlt staywd here over the May ling weekend and overall we had a great stay at this property. However, the common areas (pool, fitness centre) were not up to standard re cleanliness. The fitness centre had food all over the floor and the pool had clumps of hair and spiders floating in it. Not only that, took my kids on sunday morning for a swim and had to get out asap as noticed puke floating in it and then had to go to front desk to advise them as well as ask for towels as there werw none availble.

My stay was for 6 nights. Upon check-in I was given a sheet which told me that persons staying longer than 3 nights would have their room cleaned every other day. Checking in Thursday, my room was cleaned on Saturday. That was the last cleaning. I had to go to the front desk for clean towels and toiletries. I do not blame the cleaning staff, I blame whoever screwed up the computer entry of the dates I stayed. Not impressed.

The people were lovely When I checked in, being immuno compromised and wearing a mask; the manager saw I had one on and was wearing one for our checkin. The room was SPOTLESS!! I am OCD when it comes to clean and germs and our room was perfect. It was an efficiency unit and well supplied and appliances were working and very clean. This will be our Durham stop over from now on!!!

We enjoyed our stay the rooms n entire place was clean breakfast was good n had selection. Staff friendly was close to a lot of places. Rooms were great!

My room was exceptionally clean. The bed was so comfortable; best night sleep.

Pool and hot tub could have been cleaner you could visibly sees floating stuff in the pool and hot tub. They also don’t offer allergy friendly breakfast food options which was disappointing. I have young kids and wasn’t happy to see behind things and under things wasn’t being cleaned appropriately in the room we had.

We got the suite. Both rooms were well furnished and modern. TVs mounted. Good size space for a kitchen with actual plates and utensil. I would recommend this hotel again

The door to the unit would malfunction on a regular basis. The air conditioning in the room was broken so they installed a portable air conditioner in the one room while it kept the unit cool I was in a suite and the a portable AC unit was in the bedroom part of the suite and I couldn’t close the door at night to the rest of the unit where my children were sleeping The door to the bathroom also wouldn’t close completely. Breakfast was good. The pool in the hot tub were good just disappointed with the air-conditioning problem the door to the unit that would malfunction on a regular basis and the door to the bathroom that wouldn’t close tightly. At check-in, the staff at the front desk were very accommodating.

The tvs don’t work, apparently known issue. Leak/mild spots on ceiling, staff not helpful at all, because I booked through a third party. If Marriott doesn’t want Expedia users, take your rooms off.

This location should be the standard for all hotel stays. The room was large and spacious, came equipped with kitchen appliances and stocked utensils, bathroom was large with a walk-in shower, large living area separate from bed. Linen was clean, towels were pillow soft, staff was very kind and knowledgeable. Continental breakfast had all of the necessities. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a comfortable retreat. I would book again without hesitation. Price is well worth what you pay for. Parking is easy to access. Internet is fast. A short drive to local restaurants and Thermea Spa Village. All hotels should strive to be as hospitable as this location. Easily the best stay I have had in recent years.

The pullout couch was the most uncomfortable sleep I have ever had!!! I will not stay again if that is my only option.

The rooms are big and the full kitchen is a bonus.

Huge room for the price! Would recommend based on that alone.

The pull out couch was barely a bed, it was so thin and uncomfortable my 11 year old who weighs 80lbs soaking wet couldn’t get comfortable and the thin blankets left little additional comfort. Carpets also had questionable dark stains. However on the positive, it has everything you need for a stay in terms of a fully equipped kitchen in the room and all the utensils. The complementary breakfast was also pretty decent, and location was accessible. However I would not stay there again just due to it not having 2 bed rooms.

Staff was amazing and friendly. We were able to check in early and check out late without an issue. We really appreciated it!! Thank you:)

⭐☆☆☆☆ When I arrived, the receptionist was on her phone on speaker and gave zero attention to me — no greeting, no explanation, nothing. I felt like I was invisible. Very unprofessional first impression. Other than that, the hotel itself was nice, but the service at check-in completely ruined the experience.

The gentleman at reception checking and the lady at checkout were lovely. Very nice customer service. Our suit was great, lots of space, very clean. Highly recommend!

The desk guy was rude, not helpful, does not know what he’s doing and has no sense of good customer service. He doesn’t care about the hotel/business nor the customers. I strongly recommend NOT to stay in that hotel unless management will change or they will train their employees better.

For over $300/night they didn’t offer daily cleaning service. We requested and were promised that our room would be cleaned (after the second night) and provided clean towels. When we arrived back late at night from a family event, the room had not been touched and there were no clean towels. When we called the front desk to at a minimum get some clean towels, we were told that we would have to come get them ourselves. The overall experience was a massive disappointment; this hotel is where customer service died.

The front desk supervisor was not courteous. He insisted in assigning a room on the ground floor even though my profile specifically requested otherwise. The room had no working phone so I had to walk back to the front desk to complain about the bug that I found in my room. He then insisted that someone check that there was a bug. When they confirmed the bug at least two other rooms on the higher floors were available shortly after being told no rooms were available on the higher floors. He never apologized this was the lowest level of service ever experienced at a Marriott property.

At check in, we did not receive the room we booked as the facility did not do an uodate through Expedia. Hotel staff did not contact us during the week between booking and arrival to give us any options. We ended up having to be split into 2 rooms. The rooms were good but tge pool area was dirty and out of towels.

Convenient location close to the highway. There are dining options close by ranging from take out to dine in. The hotel has plenty of parking and the rooms are large and very quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Great location for a short stay. Being close to the Go train was the reason I booked it. Would definitely stay again.

Close to Whitby Go-Station - which is very nice!!

Great reliable accomodation. Easy access to the 401 freeway...family friendly dining options across the street. Fun pool for the kids to access after a long car ride. Great location just east of Toronto that you can stay at -- Go Train station if you want to park and train to the city is just across the street.

The place is right off the 401, so very convenient for driving. Facilities are a little dated but clean, and the rooms are a great size. Comfortable bed/furniture too. Parking is ample and easy, and there's lots of food and gas options in the vicinity. But having your own vehicle is recommended!

Overall, we were happy with our stay here. The hotel was clean, staff were friendly, and the breakfast selection was complete. Location is easy access to the highway.

I travel to Whitby a couple of times a year and have used a few different hotels in the area. This is our first time using this particular hotel but will definitely be using it again next trip. It is a little more expensive than some of the other hotels near by but you definitely get value for money. The rooms are cleaned to a very hight standard, the staff are welcoming and friendly and best of all the breakfast is amazing with a good variety of choice :)

Extremely comfortable and well appointed. Well thought out and executed. Room was large, bed was comfy and shower excellent. Breakfast was also delicious, well stocked and fresh.

The hotel was great. I arrived at 215 and asked for early checkin but was told no rooms available. When arrived in room--kitchen floor full of water. Next day breakfast was posted to be until 10--arrived at 930 and denied any service so my child and i had to go buy our breakfast out of hotel--they should of specified 930 rather than 10. Was not happy about that. Front desk staff were very friendly though

We have stayed at The Marriott in Gravenhurst, 5 Star! In Whitby the room was good. Check-in easy, friendly staff. The morning breakfast was not good!!! Too many people, so congested. Bad layout. Lots of kids making waffles, hard to get to the cereal station. Line up for coffee, no cream. Oatmeal runny, soggy eggs. We know it's included but, not good

Spacious suite & convenient parking. Room is only cleaned if you stay beyond 3 days. Our room was not cleaned on the 4th day. 3 TVs but only 2 remotes that didn't work and had to be replaced. Pool was not clean. Breakfast limited and mediocre.
