Super cute and a great, walkable location! The room was clean with some neat amenities I hadn’t seen before. The TV was playing a personal welcome when I came in with the story of the motel. The hydration station room was cute and had popsicles in the afternoon. It was quiet and I got a perfect night of sleep. Parking was a bit frustrating as other reviewers noted—we came back from watching the sunset on the Sandia Peak Tram and all spots were taken. The front desk folks were kind and let us park in the 10-minute check-in spots overnight. They said it was likely Z Lounge customers taking the spots as there were no signs up that I could see that parking was for hotel guests only. Not a huge deal as the neighborhoods behind the hotel also had street parking, but paying for a spot and not having one wasn’t ideal. I’d still definitely stay here again.

Hotel Zazz is a fun and modern motel that fits right in with Albuquerque's personality. Located in the Nob Hill district, it is within walking distance to restaurants, cafes, and shops. The staff were great and super friendly, and if you had any questions they were just a text message away. The rooms were bright and modern with colorful accents to really set them apart. Make sure you check out the speakeasy lounge and hang out by the pool.

The hotel is a little run down. No mad service, had to ask for coffee daily. Speak easy was ok, service slow and drink was soso. Parking is very limited. Would not venture out after dark. Pool was not heated as advertised. I would however stay there again based on its location

We enjoyed our stay in this unique and friendly hotel. The pool was warm and perfect for a 75 degree October day. The lounge was comfortable as were the beds. The room was quite with good temperature control. There are many walkable restaurants and bars. It was about a 10 to 15 minutes Uber ride to old town and the airport and both cost less than $10. This has much more charm than your average chain hotel if you like that sort of thing! It is an old hotel that's been remodeled, so yes there are some signs of its vintage origins and overall I loved it.

Hotel Zazz is trying really hard. The fun extras - the popsicles, speakeasy bar, and cute decor are a fabulous touch. And the staff was fabulous. I hope it can remain a lower priced option. It was a good deal for the price point we paid (mid-week, no special events) but lacks a few things. The bathrooms weren’t quite as clean as I would’ve hoped and the beds weren’t super comfy and the pool Was a bit murky. That being said, it’s a fun experience. I hope they will continue to make improvements and keep their prices reasonable and in line with the experience.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, which truly stood out for its accommodating staff. They provided extra soaps, shampoos, and even an iron and ironing board when needed. There is no hot tub this would not let me give a 1 I would give a 0 for customer service. I left property after my first night they are still charging me for the other two nights. They kept on texting me even after I stated I was leaving. There is no Manager on site and they did not stop texting me until 3rd email from me. I wanted relaxation and for that price I have expectations. I expect to park onsite. If you want to drink at a speak easy might work for you. I have never dealt with such horrible customer service and I preferred to leave that motel rather then stay them holding the additional $600 would not keep me there. The door would not close well, it would pop open if we didn’t put deadbolt on. Be careful on the stairs, they don’t look like they were updated in 15-20 years. My stay was supposed to be Sunday to Wednesday but I called Hotel.com at 5:55am on Monday stating I was not happy with the location I did not feel comfortable, I could not relax in a hot tub. I will say the Spa was great and by Spa it was massage and facial. They had a hot tub and Sauna. They were kind and caring.

Under the bathroom door, since it’s low to the ground, it caught a lot of dirt and debris. There was even a hairball and other stuff under it! The pool was also murky and didn’t look clean. I was a bit disappointed because I spent almost $400 for two nights. I think it could be a great place if the cleaning was better. It had a really cool background story, and I hope they can improve the cleanliness part. I’d definitely be back if they do!

The code to the front door didn’t work. Housekeeping let me in with a master key. I was supposed to get a new code but never did. The bathroom was horrible. Dead bugs on the ceiling and the shower reminded me of Psycho. Then there was the noise… train goes by about every 20-30 minutes and the windows must be single Payne. There were people yelling in the parking lot… maybe homeless people… that happened about 3 am and again about 4 am. I would not stay here again. Plus the traffic is pretty loud.

The bathroom really wasnt on par with the room. Super cute hotel but it was a bad reno job. The sink was painted and there was paint everywhere. The shower curtain had mold all over it. Not great :(

My spouse and I loved the concept of the revamped motel into a type of boutique hotel, and overall we think they were successful in pulling this off. But the competence to envision a hotel cast anew is completely different from running a hotel day to day, and unfortunately, this is where Hotel Zazz falls on its face. When we arrived we had a dirty coffee machine flashing descale. The staff arrived with a replacement which also turned out needed to be descaled as well, so we never ended up with coffee or tea the first night. The next morning we discovered that the room was filthy in that it hadn't been dusted in months. We called the reception and reported it and they said they would clean up the place that day. When we returned in the evening, the normal linen service had been done, but not the dusting. We had a replacement coffee machine that now worked, but it was sitting inside a serving tray that was covered in hard mineral deposits and was quite unsightly. We called again and the person said they would personally handle the problem the next day. When we arrived back for our third night, we ended up talking to the manager on the phone who was not very responsive and our room was still quite filthy. On the fourth night, and the room still not dusted and properly cleaned, we were given vouchers for one glass of wine white in their lounge as if this fixed the problem. We stayed a total of 7 nights and the room was never cleaned. Service by multiple people failed.

There were bugs on my shower curtain! I woke up with 2 bug bites in the morning. My room was tile throughout and the grout was originally white, it was so dirty it was black. It looked like months of dirt and who knows what. I emailed twice and called 3 times (left messages) text twice, all with no response or call back. Poor customer service by upper management!!! I will say that the lady at the front desk when I checked In was super nice and super helpful. Do not recommend staying here!

It was Unique and artistic, i was excited to stay until, i saw the bathroom,i had 2 rooms and they were both nasty, the shower curtain had big yellow stains ,floor had hair and dirty spots all over, towels and robes had stains and toilets had yellow lines running down the side. It was to much. I told front desk about it and asked them for a refund cuz i was going to leave and they said there was a no refund policy with hotels.com but i had called them first and they called the front desk to help me get a refund but they told them no. So it was the hotel that didn't want to give my money back to me not hotels.com. so i left the hotel and had to find somewhere else to stay and list more then $300 .

Love the colorful artsy, playful vibe, the pool, the speakeasy, the popsicle happy hour. It is pretty much my dream to be in a motel room that has hot pink accent walls and a huge multicolored giraffe mural. I am the target market for this place. Really interesting neighborhood too. Staff were super sweet and personable. Room was reasonably comfy and spacious. Just a few little things threw me off. Like i got a text saying “hey there’s coffee creamer in the fridge,” but there wasn’t. The bathroom paint and finish is just slightly scruffy. And the paint and stuff needs refreshing outside. Overall though I would very much recommend this hotel because it’s such a refreshing change from bland corporate crap. The art is super cool, they are conscious about commissioning art from women, indigenous artists, LGBTQ artists, artists of color etc., and yes, I am a woke, leftist radical whatever so that stuff is important to me.

It is pretty much my dream to be in a motel room that has hot pink accent walls and a huge multicolored giraffe mural. I am the target market for this place. Really interesting neighborhood too. Staff were super sweet and personable. Room was reasonably comfy and spacious. Just a few little things threw me off. Like i got a text saying “hey there’s coffee creamer in the fridge,” but there wasn’t. The bathroom paint and finish is just slightly scruffy. And the paint and stuff needs refreshing outside. Overall though I would very much recommend this hotel because it’s such a refreshing change from bland corporate crap. The art is super cool, they are conscious about commissioning art from women, indigenous artists, LGBTQ artists, artists of color etc., and yes, I am a woke, leftist radical whatever so that stuff is important to me.

The code to the front door didn’t work. Housekeeping let me in with a master key. I was supposed to get a new code but never did. The bathroom was horrible. Dead bugs on the ceiling and the shower reminded me of Psycho. Then there was the noise… train goes by about every 20-30 minutes and the windows must be single Payne. There were people yelling in the parking lot… maybe homeless people… that happened about 3 am and again about 4 am. I would not stay here again. Plus the traffic is pretty loud.

Hotel Zazz was a super unique and fun place to stay in Albuquerque - I loved the art, the amenities, and the overall vibe of the place. It didn’t feel overly crowded at all and check-in/check-out was super simple. The location is also really walkable and convenient. The only things I didn’t love were the size of the rooms themselves and that the surrounding area could be loud sometimes, but that’s really only if I’m grasping at straws. I had a great stay and would recommend to anyone!

A 47-room 2-story hotel doesn’t really have a way to protect hotel guests from the noise. It’s such a fun place with a great staff, that if sleep is not important to you, I highly recommend it!

The stay was ok. Our room was never cleaned even though we ask. No one went to make beds or take trash. The toiletries are too small and not enough for more than one person The room was very small and the bathroom too. Besides all that the staff is great and the room was clean when we got there Also paying for parking is a scam bec you’re paying and there is enough parking for the guest. The people who should pay are the people at the bar or who are not staying there. Nice hotel but wouldn’t go back to stay there.

Comfortable bed, clean, modern room, fun, colorful, and zany decor, cool AC. Quiet, also, even though the hotel was full. Coffee in the room, nice robes that feel cozy. The “Hydration Room” has ready made bags of ice for your room as well as a water refill station. Everything was contactless, accessed by various codes. Parking seemed secure but was an extra $12. Didn’t use the pool, but it looked nice. It was great to go to the speakeasy for a late cocktail. Breakfast with a mimosa right across the street at The Farmacy.

What drive up motel charges for parking and has you “reserve” a spot. Room was poorly stocked and the front desk and lobby is closed until 8:30 am, so we had no coffee in the morning. The property itself was fine, the texts we received as we approached the checkin date were helpful. It seemed like the door codes for the Rehydration Station and Pool Area changed daily, and that made it confusing and difficult to get water. Everyone speaks about customer service, but when they really need to provide some they seem to not quite understand the meaning. As we packed the car to leave in the dark at about 5 in the morning, we left a backpack behind. Yes our fault. When we realized it I called immediately. Yes the backpack was still sitting in the parking lot, and interestingly the girl at the front desk saw it on her way in and didn't think to bring it in. When I asked if it could be shipped back to me at my expense, I was told she had to check and she would call me back. That didn't happen so I called back. She told me that she had spoken to her Boss and the only way they would ship it back was if I provided the box and a label. Really, you didn't have a box lying around? So here I am, hundreds of miles away at this point. Customer Service would have been if you helped me out and shipped the backpack, AT MY EXPENSE. We won't be back.

I was really looking forward to this hotel. The hotel itself was super cute and I love the business model. I left a little disappointed though because of a few things. One was when we checked in, we were given a room, but when we went to drop off our bags, the room already had people in it. My air conditioner stopped working. I was 3pm on a weekday when I noticed it, and instead of fixing it,k they moved me to another room, above the bar. The bar was noisy with thmping music through my floor until after 10pm. I complained and they tried to move me to a room that was not as good athe room I paid for, and it stunk of cigarettes. I had to complain again and was moved to a 4th room that was smaller than the room I booked and paid for. It was not a fun experience moving my bags all over the Motel.

The hotel is cute and has potential, but I didn’t see follow up on the promise. I was texted about multiple things (parking, housekeeping) and then had issues with both. I also found it disconcerting that they took my card and confirmed the full charge for the 2 night stay (and had that amount as a pending charge) but proceeded to daily charge each night individually and have an additional hold on the room. I was reassured that the first hold for the 2 days total would drop off and the individual charges would come thru, but it was an unwelcome surprise to wake up to the first morning. Plus, there was some weird orange debris on my door that looked like dried vomit and a staff member there shrugged it off and said it was probably toothpaste. The checkin staff was friendly and the speakeasy is a cute idea. Overall, isn’t see the hype and wouldn’t stay again.

They do not allow cancellations under any circumstance, which is frustrating if you end up regretting your choice (as I did). The property is extremely rundown—it shouldn’t even be listed as a hotel. The carpet was filthy, and the entire place felt neglected. On top of that, they charge $12.50 plus tax for parking, and if you don’t pay, you’re forced to park on the street—which felt completely unsafe. Customer service was mixed. A woman of color at the front desk was incredibly rude and unwelcoming—hard to miss her with her COVID mask pulled up to her eyeballs. On the other hand, a polite young man (also a person of color) wearing a gold chain was the only bright spot in an otherwise disappointing experience. Zazz is a GREAT hotel in a not-so-great neighborhood. They have on-site security and cameras, but I would recommend making sure that on-site parking is paid for and taken care of while you are booking as you do not want to be street parking anywhere near Central Ave. It becomes a crapshoot as to whether your car is broken into despite the cameras Zazz has to protect the road parking.

Hotel Zazz is a converted motel, colorful and fun, and located within a short walk of a wide array of good restaurants and some fun shops. It's also right on the BRT (Nob Hill East) so super easy to get to, and visit Old Town from, without a car. Staff were super friendly. Only downside is traffic noise, but it wasn't that loud.

Great place to stay! Never been to the ABQ before and stayed here two nights at the top of my trip and ended up staying for the final night since it was so great and convenient for me. Nob Hill area of Albuquerque was a great treat to find! Plenty of shopping, drinking, and eating around. The Zazz wall was awesome too! Be sure to tap the golden banana 🍌

Staff is super friendly, helpful, and very easy to reach to. Fidele was able to address all of our concerns and is respectful to our schedules. Unfortunately the location is not ideal. We stayed for 3 nights and 2 out of the 3 we saw homeless wondering around and checking out the hotel yard. We heard one of them shout out swearing words in the middle of the night. The staff acted quickly and escorted the guy away but still, it is just how this neighborhood is unfortunately. Maybe consider putting up fences to help guard the hotel. My partner also complained about night traffic noise mainly because our room is closer to street. The shower water first came out rusty for a few second but resolved on its own. I assume we catch the hotel during the non peak tourist season and thus pipes are less used.

Hotel Zazz is a fun and modern motel that fits right in with Albuquerque's personality. Located in the Nob Hill district, it is within walking distance to restaurants, cafes, and shops. The staff were great and super friendly, and if you had any questions they were just a text message away. The rooms were bright and modern with colorful accents to really set them apart. I rarely stay at boutique hotels, but I was excited to try Hotel Zazz. I was not disappointed. I enjoyed the modern decor and the signature toiletries, specifically the lotion. I enjoyed the speakeasy bar and during the day as a workspace. Many thanks to Dave for the restaurant recommendations including Pharmacy across the street and Sherri for your hospitality during check-in and making awesome Palomas at the bar. Don't forget to check out the Happy Hour! The location is excellent as well lots of restaurants within walking distance.

We had a great stay here! The speakeasy was fun, and everyone was so nice. It is off a major road, and the college is nearby, so expect some road noise, but that didn't bother us. We loved that we had plenty of great food options nearby.

The hotel is a little run down. No mad service, had to ask for coffee daily. Speak easy was ok, service slow and drink was soso. Parking is very limited. Would not venture out after dark. Pool was not heated as advertised. I would however stay there again based on its location

I did enjoy my stay room was clean and like the vibe along with the speak easy. Bartender could have been a little friendlier as last call was at 1 and bar closes at 2. over all would stay again

We enjoyed our stay in this unique and friendly hotel. The pool was warm and perfect for a 75 degree October day. The lounge was comfortable as were the beds. The room was quite with good temperature control. There are many walkable restaurants and bars. It was about a 10 to 15 minutes Uber ride to old town and the airport and both cost less than $10. This has much more charm than your average chain hotel if you like that sort of thing! It is an old hotel that's been remodeled, so yes there are some signs of its vintage origins and overall I loved it.

Hotel Zazz is trying really hard. The fun extras - the popsicles, speakeasy bar, and cute decor are a fabulous touch. And the staff was fabulous. I hope it can remain a lower priced option. It was a good deal for the price point we paid (mid-week, no special events) but lacks a few things. The bathrooms weren’t quite as clean as I would’ve hoped and the beds weren’t super comfy and the pool Was a bit murky. That being said, it’s a fun experience. I hope they will continue to make improvements and keep their prices reasonable and in line with the experience.

Just love going back in time to the Route 66 era! The staff are amazing and helpful as well as fun! Our room so comfortable and clean! The pool area nice and funky! Can’t wait to try the speakeasy next time!

Rooms were dirty. Water pressure was weak. Definitely don’t go outside at night unless you want to be hounded by homeless people. They are quick to fine you for any infraction without warning
