Beautiful historic hotel. Staff was amazing. But there was construction going on in the lobby every day and we could hear it from our room when relaxing. We were not told this would be the case.

We loved our room. Staff was very nice. The gym was closed when we arrived so we went for a walk. We didn't go far because it was a little sketch.

Beautiful hotel, although the construction work going on at the time made it noisy and meant only one lift was working.

It was Construction in the hotel, most of the public space was not accessible, When I made a complaint, I was told that in the future, the public spaces would be much nicer so therefore, I need to not be upset about the quality of the current visit. No accommodations were made to satisfy my needs

Checked in wanting to relax at hotel and eat. No mention of the Tapas RestAurant being closed down. So we thought we would go to rooftop bar but no it’s closed as well. Again, nothing mentioned while booking. Then we will just sleep. No, it’s under construction. Jack hammers started at 8am and awoke us. We ended up checking out because the noise was so loud and non stop the whole morning. They even used the main elevator to bring the debris out of the demo area. On top of that when we complained they simple said of well you booked 3rd party so we will do nothing. No refund and they basically said you should not have booked it through Expedia. Worst experience at a hotel and we paid top dollar for this. They refuse to even acknowledge it as a problem and said I should have read their website and Expedia’s before booking. Do not stay at this hotel!

Loved the place but the room above us was having a party and was very loud throughout the night, I should have complained but dont really like doing that I was just hoping the other guests would do that for us. We used the earplugs provided to block out the noise. Be aware that you either valet park your car or use the public garage near the area. Pick a room that is not near the road as we were there during the weekend and you can hear the cars drive by and we were there during the weekend so it was busy that night.

I used $10 hotel bottled water. It had a horrible taste that I couldn't get out of my mouth for hours. After rinsing the glass, I finally figured out that the culprit was a heavy soap residue. In addition, the hotel is undergoing renovations, so the normal restaurants and bars are closed. I was not informed of this when I called to make a reservation - instead I was only told they had switched to a first come first served system. The hotel manager kindly explained to me that it was my fault for not knowing in advance that the hotel was being renovated since it was posted on their website. I didn't see any info on Hotels.com or the hotel's website when I went there to make a reservation. I have stayed there many times before and always enjoyed it. This trip was awful, and I talked to people checking out early due to similar experiences.

They were doing construction at the property, which is fine. But they weren't very thoughtful in how they did it. For instance, they took out all the filtered water machines but didn't think to put out alternative water sources. When the construction is done, I trust it will be a lovely prporty again.

Beautiful historic hotel, decorated in Andalusian style ( one of my favorites!) Some areas were under renovation, but even “not redone” one can see the beauty. The restaurant “Mas” was excellent for tapas, though the sizes of the dishes were ( as my very nice waitress put it ) “American-size”. The room was ready very early , so I was able to check in and change my clothes before my explorations, There was a Welcome message with my name on the TV . So nice !( I never use the TV in hotel rooms , I have no time for that , but it’s so thoughtful to see a personalized message ) Everybody from the valet to the reception desk employee were super nice, possibly the friendliest and helpful hotel staff that I ever encountered ( and I travel a lot!) Hopefully I’ll get back there at some point when the renovation is finished .

I had a great stay, and the front desk service representative who helped me check in was fantastic. However, I was quite put off by the hair I found behind the toilet seat and the amount of grime that was on the TV remote.

The hotel Andwluz was quite disappointing for being so expensive. The room was not clean, the sofa bed was filthy and the entire place needs updating.

Very unique beautiful hotel if a bit more updated. Carpet very dirty, small bathroom, smelled bad, bathroom shower uncomfortable water mess.

A poor check-in experience unfortunately set the tone. Arrived just before 3:00 as confirmation indicated, but reception insisted check-in is 4:00. Had to show her my email with correct time and she said she would text when room was ready. Waited in lobby, watched her check in three other parties. I had to walk over to remind her of my existence and then she gave me a room. Feels very unwelcoming. The first floor lobby and atriums are so lovely, but the rooms don’t match— very hard-edged business feel. Halls smelled like sewer and our shower handle was broken. (All for over $200 a night! Sad.)

The bathroom sliding door was malfunctioning. Literally had to push hard to open the door. At 3am, the fire alarm malfunctioned and my family and I had to evacuate the hotel just to learn that it was false alarm. No apologies or any gesture from the hotel other than a mere sorry from the front desk. The sheet for the sofa bed was not clean. There was literally a foot print on it. For parking you have to either self park for 10 bucks or do the valet parking. I had a better experience in 2018 when I stayed here but this time it was horrible. 250 bucks for a terrible night.

One of the most comfortable rooms we’ve stayed in! Staff were excellent, valet service was quick, and the hotel was clean. The bed was superb, as well! Only complaint is that one of the sinks in our room wouldn’t drain. We’ll be back!

Shower in room was backwards. znothing worse than a cold shower in the morning. Person who installed was not knowlegdeable.

This is a gorgeous boutique hotel at an outrageous bargain price. The room was spacious and sumptuous. The lobby area is as beautiful a space in a hotel as one will find in the USA. However, the condition of the hotel is showing some signs of wear with 15 years having passed since the renovation and reopening. And as with the downtown of any “progressive” city in the West or Southwest, you will be dodging drug addicts and piles of human feces and vomit in the vicinity of the hotel, and you’ll need to practice extra vigilance to avoid becoming a crime victim.

Great property but the heating and ac system is horrible - didnt seem to work at all - had to open the window to get some fresh air

The hotel is terrific. I saw some negative reviews complaining about the area, but it's a typical small city downtown; and other negative reviews with complaints about shabby rooms or unworking elevators. We didn't have any of those problems, which isn't to say we didn't simply luck out. The hotel, the lobby, the little library, they all have that classic old school feel that you usually don't find in this price range (or if you do, it's usually at a rundown place where the pipes are dodgy, the AC doesn't work, etc). The room was terrific; we got one with a soaking tub, and it was exactly what we were hoping for. We weren't originally planning on eating in the hotel restaurant, Char, but our drinks in the lobby while waiting for our room to be ready were good enough that we decided to try it out, and it was worthwhile. The problems were with service, unfortunately. Everyone was very friendly, and the valets were great. But the front desk dropped the ball twice in our short 20 hour stay. We arrived 4 hours before check in time, and they said they'd call or text us when our room was ready, and hold our luggage until then. No problem! But when check-in time came and went, we'd heard nothing, only to find out the room had been ready and no one had reached out. Worse, they only brought us 2 of our 7 bags. We were able to find the others (one of which was a medical device), but they hadn't tagged them or made any note of them, which was troubling.

Large king room, funky vibe. The fridge didn’t cool and the adjustment was non-functional; the clock was stuck at 6:23. But it was a great stay and the hotel has an old-school meets modern vibe - and we weee vibing!

Beautiful hotel. Loaded with history. However. Checking in and out was poor. Only one person, on Veterans Day weekend, Checking guests in and out at the busiest times. Valet kind enough to bring luggage cart but watched while my wife and i unloaded and loaded our vehicle. Its unfortunate i will not return due to the service.

Stayed here for a wedding. I loved our room and the entire hotel. The staff were very accommodating. The bar was great!

I was charged an additional day for the overnight valet parking. Every time I call to follow up about the issue no one answers the phone or I get put on hold for 10-15 mins until the call drops.

I arrived late in the night for my reservation after driving all day and all night from Los Angeles and Cassie from the front desk had marked me as a no show. She then insisted that if i wanted the room that i would have to pay double. Expedia called her to get a verbal yes to refund the first charge so i could pay for the room directly but she refused to give it and again insisted that i pay double. I couldnt pay double so i told her if she wont give the verbal yes to expedia over the phone to refund the first charge that I would have to sleep in my car. She told me to leave and shoo’d me out the door. I literally couldnt find anywhere else that had rooms at that time so i slept in my car in a Cracker Barrel parking lot. I am shocked and appalled at the treatment i received. I was very happy to pay for the vacant room I just couldnt afford to pay double. I would like a refund for the room i wasnt allowed to sleep in.

Very cool hotel. Unfortunately, they are short staffed which affects their service levels. Hope they can hire more people. Would stay again.

Amazing stay! Phenomenal staff! One Minute walk to downtown Albuquerque!

Excellent service! Gorgeous hotel! Feels so lovely to be in there! We did not want to leave. We came for a concert at the Sunshine theater, a two minute walk away. Good food options within walking distance. Also, there is some fabulous aroma being diffued in the lobby and elevators!

What a gem of a hotel in downtown Albuquerque! Within walking distance to convention center, shops, restaurants, so great location. The style and decor is unique and the service is very personable. It’s a warm, welcoming stay. I highly recommend!

This was our second stay at Hotel Andaluz. The area feels safe. There is a nice restaurant on the first floor as well as other restaurants in walkable distance.

The hotel itself is nice, clean, comfortable. Loved our dinner and drinks. Rooms run warm in the summer from poor window insulation. Biggest issue is the area/location. Lots of homeless, drug use. Didn’t have an issue but made us wary of walking anywhere outside. Staff was helpful and kind.

Very nice historic hotel. Good, attentive staff and affordable, steps away from the convention center. The only negative -- and this is NOT the property's fault -- is that the neighborhood is weirdly unpopulated, even though it's downtown. Workday afternoons feel like Sunday morning on the streets

Such a nice property. Everything was very comfortable. Rooms are quiet. Mas (the restaurant) was very good. Location was great.

Property is lacking in amenities. No ice machines, no vending, very little choice in office store...if you don't want wine or odd fancy snacks you're out of luck. On property restaurant was closed for breakfast to prepare for special buffet. NO OPTION.

I made my reservations on Expedia. When I got to the hotel they had no reservation information for me. I reserve the large King expanded room and was given a very cramped small clean room. I was there on business and was working on a presentation in the Internet and the hotel was unbelievably slow really handicapped what I was trying to accomplish The room service food was remarkable and delicious however room service disconnected me 3 times while trying to order room service. I stated the hotel had to lose at least 15 times before and never had similar experiences I was very disappointed

Hotel was excellent, we had a great Dinner in the restaurant and all of the staff was excellent.

Great stay, great bar, night crew for check in was a little more friendly than morning crew. I spent 20 years in the service industry and own a small restaurant. Morning manager was hovering over associate did not seem very happy. But that doesn’t mean she is doing a bad job just would be nice to make connection with staff. The bartender was wonderful.
