Great location and right next to Darkey Kelly’s pub. Great food and live music. The rooms need an overhaul and the bathrooms require serious updating. I’m unclear why any hotel has bathtubs at this point. No air conditioning. Great and friendly staff. For the price, great place.

The staff was excellent. The rooms were comfortable (if a bit warm even with the radiator turned down), and the bathroom/shower were lovely. The area is excellent, close to many many sites, restaurants and pubs. A discount at a nearby parking ramp was a nice plus as well. Overall a very good value in an excellent location in Dublin.

We were pleased with the hotel, and their staff met all our needs with a pleasant and helpful attitude. Two slight comments to others. One is that there are two sets of short steps to reach the lobby. For anyone with difficulty with stairs this may be a consideration. Our room, while nicely done was tight for the three of us. Overall, we would stay again..

First thing was the very late check in. I mean what is going on with 3pm room availability. Ridiculous. Hire more staff!! Room was pleasant, but no fridge!! It’s location is terrific if you want to walk to popular sites. Darkeys right next door was an absolute blast. Typical Irish pub with exceptional service and food. Syltayed 2 nights to see Dublin City, which did not disappoint. Absolutely loved the Irish hospitality.

My second time at Handel’s and it was enjoyable again. Friendly staff and a great central location, with good bus links to the airport. The rooms are clean but ours looked a little tired. Would score higher if it had a gym.

Le prix de la chambre était élevé (plus de 200€) pour le confort. L'équipement était moyen, la chambre trop chaude (besoin de sortir le ventilateur) du placard. Comme le petit-déjeuner n'était pas compris dans le prix, on a pris le petit déj dans les cafés du quartier. Heureusement, il y avait l'embarras du choix. Hôtel calme. J'ai trouvé aussi que les oreillers étaient recouverts d'un tissu synthétique pas très agréable.

Great location, only a minute or twos walk from temple bar and all the other great bars, comfortable hotel with 24/7 reception who were polite and welcoming. Only negative was that the rooms on the third floor were very hot & there is no Aircon. There was a fan available but it made for a hard nights sleep.

Where to begin, the photos you see on the website are not at all accurate in our experience. Our room was very dated, our shower did not drain properly, we had flies in our room as well as black mold growing next to the radiator. My partner had a severe allergic reaction to the mold. The staff on night shift were very apologetic and bleached the wall for us after viewing my partners swollen face. There were no other rooms available due to the marathon. We checked out in the morning and had to pay for a new hotel at a higher rate (as it was last minute). We had no follow up with the hotel and had to not only email but go back multiple times to ensure a refund would be provided. The manager was helpful and ensured a refund will be processed.

The beds were comfortable. There was no ventilation in the room and the lock on the window was broken. Outside the window was the roof of the next building, it didn't feel secure. Bathroom was old, carpet was sticky.

Room was OK.... some evidence of poor housekeeping. Silverfish insects in the bathroom No way to wash hands in warm water as the basin had only hot (which was scalding hot) or cold options and there was no plug provided to allow for filling the basin with warm water for washing hands, or rinsing out small clothing items. Bedding was clean and appeared fresh. The window didn't fully close as the locking mechanism was broken so there was always air coming in effectively moving the curtains. Staff was friendly enough but not overly helpful when we asked about getting a plug for the bathroom basin.

This hotel is in a great location and we could easily walk to restaurants, pubs, shopping, yoga studios, and other attractions. Rooms have plenty of space to spread out, comfortable bed, large bathroom. Carpet is older and a bit musty. Because there is no AC, tile or other hard flooring would be a better choice. Biggest cons: Bathroom sink has two separate faucets so you either get scalding or cold water. Faucets were placed too close to the sides of the bowl so you can barely get your hands under to wash. Water pools out onto the back counter. No stopper to fill the sink either. Bathroom wasn’t super clean.

Ett väldigt fint rum, men det finns ingen AC. Endast en bordsfläkt och ett fönster som gick att öppna men det ville man inte ha öppet på natten på grund av diverse ljud och fåglar som gärna ville komma in! Men aom sagt i övrigt ett mycket bra hotell!

Positiv: Zentral gelegen am Ende der Temple Bar Street, fast alle Sehenswürdigkeiten fussläufig erreichbar. Viele Pubs und Restaurants in der unmittelbaren Umgebung. Freundliches Personal im Hotel. Schneller und unkomplizierter Check-Inn. Negativ: enorme Hitze im Zimmer (4ter Stock) der nur eine fehlende Klimaanlage Abhilfe schaffen würde; der kleine Ventilator ist zwar nett, hilft aber genauso wenig wie das geöffnete Fenster, durch das bis zur Schliessstunde der Pubs zusätzlich entsprechender Lärm ins Zimmer dringt. Desweiteren sind die Wasserhähne im Badezimmer extrem merkwürdig angebracht... und zwar so dass das Händewaschen zu einer kleinen Herausforderung wird, die immer in einer kleinen 'Überschwemmung' endet. Die Hitze im Zimmer besonders während der Nacht war recht unangenehm aber die einzigartige Stadt Dublin ist immer wieder einen Besuch wert!

The hotel itself was fabulous, staff were amazing and we were able to check in a little bit early. It’s in a really good location near Christchurch. The only draw back is that since it’s so close to the church you can really clearly hear the bells at every hour and half hour. The street is also very noisy at night with cars and people walking home from pubs and the walls are kind of thin. The room is really nice though and the bathroom with the heated towel rack was a plus. 24hr front desk was really nice, especially for our 5:30 am check out time. Staff made everything very quick and easy for both check-in and out and the luggage drop was a god send.

Hotel is in a very good location and staff were welcoming and helpful. Room was clean but in need of a bit of updating - mainly the bathroom. Double glazing in room not good - heard noise from road & church bells every 15 minutes. Looks like the hotel is in process of renovating. Could do with more comfortable pillows.

Die Lage ist top und die Zimmer sind sauber. Allerdings werden alleine Reisende in stickige, fensterlose Löcher gesteckt. Ist man solo unterwegs würde ich unbedingt ein anderes Hotel empfehlen (ausser man ist Batman und lebt sonst auch in Höhlen).

The hotel is in a great location and is accessible to many attractions. The room itself was nice, but the hallway had trash outside during the entirety of our visit. The biggest concern was when we did not receive our wake up call. Thankfully, we had our phone alarm set. I think with minor adjustments, this could be a wonderful hotel.

This hotel was clean and comfortable, however, on the first day, the elevator was out of service, there was no wifi and the TV did’t work. The manager’s response to a guest who was annoyed with the elevator outage was, oh well, not much we can do about it. Not impressed. I felt bad for anyone who couldn’t do stairs. No compensation was offered.

This property was great and very central for tourists. Our only issue was with the service of the hotel. The staff was extremely kind, however slightly unreliable. Our toilet stopped flushing at night and we were told they could not get a maintenance worker until the next morning. This problem was never resolved and the worker never came to check the plumbing. Also, we requested an additional towel and were told someone would come up in 15 minutes—no one ever arrived. I believe this is a great location to stay in Dublin, I just think the service itself especially for the price you pay could use some work.

We had a terrific time in Dublin! The staff at Reception were exceptional (I believe their names were June, Clara, Alaina, and Olivia)! Super friendly, responsive to all of our questions, and even helped us figure out a hot water issue, like a plumber (thanks Alaina!). The room was a bit tired and worn, but clean. The window didn't close properly and we heard a bit of street noise. The breakfast was tasty. Overall, we had a pleasant stay! TY ladies!

This hotel has so many helpful employees. They made our stay so much easier with booking tours, taxis etc. also very knowledgeable of the area And things to do. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only complaint we would have is there is no late check out option. This would have been ideal and willing to pay for that service and unsure why it is not an option.

Housekeeping was not done everyday and I had to ask the front desk to have our room cleaned. There was no maintenance person to fix a situation about the drying rack in the bathroom and front desk people tried to fix it to no avail. Food on the breakfast area were dry and felt like they were reheated.

Centrally located, everything was walkable. Quiet, but some nights there was music from bar down the street and it’s close to Christ church so you do hear the church bells (I found it very nice). The noise didn’t bother us at all, nor impact our sleep. The superior twin room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was everything we needed! I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Small room with only a skylight way up for natural light. Double bed against wall made it extremely difficult for us to get into bed at night. Sink was clogged for most of the days, asked for helped multipe days and finally someone unclogged it. Asked for minor room cleaning - new towels, trash emptied, body wash/shampoo filled - we were told housekeeping is only there from 3:00 to 4:30 - so it would happen when it would happen and we had to wait at a table until it was done. We are not messy people and pick up after ourselves everyday making sure everyitng is put away - and we were told we must have had some stuff on our bed is why our room was only partially made up on one day. Hair dryer button had to be held down in order to work, and then it heated up so I had to wait for it to cool before drying my hair. Was told that this was a standard hairdryer for the UK, but we didn't have one like that at any of the other 6 locations we stayed at in the UK. Location was great for walking to many of the area attracting including the train station and the locations where we met with two of our tours. Breakfast was stale and cold- pancakes and eggs.

Overall it was a great stay. The staff was great. The rooms were great. I will say that the profile said there was a restaurant on property but every time we asked about it, the kitchen was “closed”. There was also a situation where one of the staff members made themselves a latte at the coffee bar in the lobby and then when we went to order lattes, we were told that the coffee bar was closed.

Nice hotel in a great area for walking to most of the main sites of Dublin. I would skip the breakfast as there are other less expensive options nearby. But it is a buffet so if you are hungry it might be a good choice.

Our room was clean, but hot and stuffy. No air conditioning and only a small window and fan. Since our room was above an alley, it was noisy at times. The breakfast staff was friendly, but the food was only fair & not worth the cost. Although we liked the location and the historical significance of this hotel, we are not likely to go there again or recommend it to others.

I booked months ago, and we had a room with no windows, very small. The families rooms on 2nd and 3rd floor were very hot, no a/c or fans installed. Fam on 4th floor had no hot water. Staff at desk were very nice, bar staff not so much. Probably would not stay there again.
