It is extremely secure and also gated community By the way, there is no store nearby walking distance parking is limited customer service, very limited Only till 9 P.M. no a/c But price is right room is very cosy small is hosting by the Owner, and you can get in touch with Owner anytime after hours.

Beautiful home in a gated community. A few ladies work there & they were welcoming. Allowed us to uber food and eat on the terrace. Our room was very spacious and clean. A little warm but bearable. they have extra fans. We arrived during the day and it was quite but you will hear other guests arriving late at night so travel with a mini sound machine if your a light sleeper . Airport is 5-10 minutes, they provided a shuttle but you must tell them the day before and it’s only certain hours they provide a ride. Don’t skip out on the Breakfast for 7$ U.S , it was so delicious!

Our stay was excellent. Very clean room, but there were many spiders. The staff were friendly and helpful. The transportation to the airport was a big perk— nice Mercedes ride. The common areas are super cute and accessible to all. However, there are stairs throughout, which may be a problem for some people, but did not bother us. Nice deck views.

Beautiful terraced villa in a gated community with a million dollar view of volcans and canyon. Room was clean but down some very steep escaleras. Luckily I could navigate them but not sure most could. Breakfast was simple, but ok. Owner helped me to move to next hotel in same zona.

A very nice place. The only part that I wasn't prepare for was the it didn't a small refrigerator, drinks like sodas or water or a vending machine. Not big deal, it's so close to the airport and many other things. Very safe

Ordinaire pour le prix. Pulvérisateur anti cafards fourni dans la chambre. La navette qui devait venir nous chercher ne pouvait pas se déplacer à l’heure de notre arrivée et je n’ai eu cette information que quelques jours avant le départ malgré ma demande dès la réservation 2 mois avant. J’ai du débourser pour un taxi. Le seul bon point était le petit déjeuné qui était typique et délicieux.

I liked this place because it felt relatively safe. Its located within a gated community so theres a little more sense of security, however, its backyard is a dark forested area. Ive stayed at places within the same community that felt a little lore comfortable. Theres not much staff on hand and no food options in the area, so bring some snacks in case you get hungry. Theres a water dispenser to fill water bottles in the kitchen but thats about it. I also didn't like that i didn't have a key to my room so i didn't want to leave anywhere because i would have had.to leave my room door unlocked. Youll pretty much be on your own through the night because no staff will be there. Overall, i liked the place. Just wish there were a few more food/drink/entertainment options. My room didn't even have a tv so youll probably just be on your phone for entertainment. They do have free wifi

The place is a great budget hotel. The staff here are so friendly and sweet. And there are fresh flowers to greet you in a common areas. When you see the dining room and the mountain views from the dining room with the large table. You'll think you're in your grandma's house. It is a little noisy because it's next to the airport. But it does back to a big beautiful. Open area call drewn looking area. So there's lots of birds to listen to also. What's most important is the bed. Is comfortable clean and so is the bathroom. You might not have hot water. But it's plenty warm here anyway. It. Is in a gated village area and so there are no restaurants nearby. But they will call you a driver so you can go to restaurants on the other side of the airport where there are many.

Very clean more like a air b&b. The staff was nice but seemed a little awkward. More like a big house with rooms and I believe the owner lives there. It’s really close to airport about 5 min or less in car. The “house” is in a gated secretary area. You need the address of the house. We asked for coffee and they where really nice about that. I give it a 10 for being clean. But the reason why we booked this was bc of the “free shuttle” to the airport. We had to be at the airport no later then 5am. We let the owner and her son know that we needed to be at the airport by 5am they said yes no problem. Woke up and waited at the front door of house and nothing. I called out and nobody was around there is no reception desk and I called and called the property and nothing. Finally we had to get our own taxi it was about 6 am and finally the “owner came out and I told her where is the shuttle and she said she had called and they didn’t show up. We were running late to catch our flight and some random person drove by and I asked if she could give us a ride, thankfully she said yes and we made it on time but had to pay her for the ride. Overall if your looking to get free shuttle to airport I don’t recommend this place.

It was the strangest check in I've ever had. The lady opened the locked gate, checked our name off a list and brought us to our room. There was no greeting or instructions. We even had to go down later and ask for a key to our room. Our room however was very nice. Good bed, clean, spacious and a nice little patio to sit outside. There was advertised that there was an airport shuttle but we were told it didn't run the hours we needed it. Another hotel guest told us that Uber works very well and so we used that. The price also was very reasonable and the location great for having to be at the airport early.

Love staying at Aurora Express. Natalia and her team have always taken great care of my family. We are. Family of 7 and she was willing to pick us up at the airport with all our luggage. The family room works wonderfully for us and the breakfast the next morning is always well done and welcomed after a day of travel.

Staff very kindly offered a lift to the airport at 6am for our flight, reconfirmed at 9pm the night before. Staff never turned up, uncontactable, ended up having to power walk 25mins to the airport with 30kg of luggage. Common areas were very nice, room was basic as expected/advertised

What a lovely place! The staff member who met me at the door was kind and thoughtful, and the room is large and comfortable. It's very peaceful, and I had a good night's sleep and a delicious tipico breakfast before my flight. They arranged free transport to the airport with a friendly driver. I will definitely be recommending Aurora Express to friends.

My entire experience was amazing from beginning to end. The owner, Natalia, answered all of my questions before booking and was very prompt with her responses to my messages, which was very much appreciated since I was booking last minute. I arrived after hours and she gave me detailed instructions of how to find both the house and my room, which was super clean and comfortable. Her staff is super kind, and the breakfast they made me was the best I had during my stay in Guatemala. The house is literally 5 minutes from the airport, and Natalia offers a free ride which made it super easy to get to the airport without any worries of delay. The property has a beautiful view and the wifi is super fast. I highly recommend this property for anyone who needs a place to stay close to the airport. I can’t wait to visit again. Thank you Natalia and staff!

This is THE place to stay for a night or more in Guatemala City. Clean, lovely, comfy, and the staff understands hospitality. Couple that with the fact that it’s 5 minutes from the airport, in a gates/guarded colonia, and it’s the obvious choice.

The staff was courteous, but they want you to know a code to enter, so this is more or less an Airbnb. It's located in a horribly difficult place to find, so pay the 10 dollars to have them pick you up, and hope you can get a taxi to leave the carcel of a gated community. The house is gorgeous. If they can somehow give you transportation, leaving and coming back will cost 10 dollars. So add 20 dollars onto the cost. Andy Lee Graham, 115 countries.

Nice property and safe area right next to the airport. They even provided complimentary transport to my airline. Only challenge is getting through the security checkpoint before the hotel, requires exact address of the hotel and strong Spanish skills.
