The shrimp and grits at the hotel restaurant was delicious! There’s a very nice rooftop bar that’s open in the evenings. The beds were comfortable and we noticed how quiet and serene the rooms were—perfect for sleeping!

The hotel was very clean. The beds are wonderful The staff was very accommodating. Andrea stood out. She gave us a small tour and shared some of the building’s history. There is a beautiful Speakeasy in the basement and a lovely restaurant on the lobby floor.

I chose this hotel because it was close to Blues Alley and I was celebrating a birthday. This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. Most of the staff was warm. Front desk was friendly and helpful. I wish I was told that Alex speakeasy stopped serving dinner at 1130 when I made my reservation through the front desk. The valet guys were great and helpful. The hidden fees… whew 2 credit processings fees, taxes on top of taxes fees, destination fee and destination taxes . The rooftop bar was a little overrated, service was a little cold. Maybe that’s the culture of the town. Cute but crowded so make reservations. I would go back.

The hotel is very nice for the area, which is undergoing revitalization. There are a lot of dining options, the historic district, and a few shops within walking distance. This is good because parking is not readily available. There is another company that does the valet parking for the hotel (there is no other option, unless you can find street parking), which does the transaction via text messaging and a website interface. This worked ok, but I think I only tipped one of the valet's and was expected to tip both (or each time the car was retrieved). The cars are mostly parked in the lot across the street from the hotel.

It’s quiet and tucked away, but you’re able to walk to a lot of restaurants and other businesses • Checkout was a breeze. Loved the hotel, spacious room. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.We ate light as it was late when we arrived, but soup was delicious. Breakfast next morning was really good. Hotel was built in 1915, so it has been updated but they have managed to keep all the architecture of the original hotel. It was easy access of I 95 south. Highly recommend.

It’s is beautifully designed but the phone nor coffee pot worked in room, no bath soap in room was in shower at time thankfully I brought my own tho. The hotel is too upscale for those types of issues

The hotel was exceptionally nice; however housekeeping failed to check the fridge in the room. We found someone’s old pizza. My only other concern was the surrounding area seemed depressed. Otherwise the hotel was really nice.

It may look a bit sketchy driving there but do not let it change your mind. This hotel is fantastic. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. It’s a refurbished building so it has a lot of nostalgia. Beautiful. Clean. Rooms are updated and nicely tiled clean bathrooms. Cozy bed. They have a rooftop bar and a basement speakeasy. Would stay again for sure. Very close like a mile to lots of restaurants.

The property is a beautiful restoration maintaining the authentic history. Everything is clean and spacious and luxurious. Most importantly, the entire staff is excellent…from the front desk to the valet service to the cleaning staff and the restaurant team, they are friendly and welcoming and all went above and beyond to meet our needs and wishes.

The staff was amazing. Met the manager who came over and introduced himself. The dinner and breakfast were amazing not a buffet breakfast, but chef made food. The decor was magnificent in the room was really nice with a great comfortable bed. I hope the area surrounding the hotel gets revitalized. Great place to stay if you’re driving south and need somewhere to spend the night in between.

Loved the hotel, spacious room. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.We ate light as it was late when we arrived, but soup was delicious. Breakfast next morning was really good.
