Stayed 1 night

We were only staying one night on a pass through Dublin and motel one was close to the stop for our early morning tour to the cliffs of Moher and Galway. It is in a busy part of town which is nice for the local shopping, but being 1st timers in Dublin we did not know about the O’Connell st reputation of being pretty rowdy at night. At 9pm as we were settling in to get some sleep the fire alarm in the building started going off. It stopped just as we got shoes on; then immediately started going again. The floors are designed a bit awkwardly and it took far longer to identify the staircase than it should have. By the time we got to the ground floor people were coming back in to share it was a false alarm. We went back up, took a shower to cool down, but then I went down to the desk to learn what happened. When I asked staff about it they just shared that it was a false alarm and the wee “sorry about that.” It’s not their responsibility to share more than that, but it is also not my responsibility to give them another chance. I do not anticipate staying at another motel one.

Stayed 2 nights

The hotel was modern, clean, quiet, and looked brand new. However the mattress was a good bit firmer than I'd hoped. Also, the shower water pressure was fairly low (a different shower head would solve the problem), and no lotion was provided. The location was great for quick walks to restaurants, shopping and bars (Temple Bar only 3-4 blocks away). I'd definitely stay there again.

Basic but clean and modern rooms in a city centre hotel. Ideal for a night or two stay but not suited for longer bookings due to size of rooms. Try and ask for a room with a view, mine was a concrete brick wall. Air conditioning, wifi, TV and shower room/ en-suite all good and clean. Breakfast in morning (continental) tasty.
