Meadows Hotel

I loved staying at The Meadows. It is a quaint boutique hotel with lovely decor and the restaurant was exceptional.

Nice hotel and excellent restaurant

Beautiful historical hotel. Beds, pillows very comfortable. Room spacious, comfortable and clean. Staff friendly. We checked in around 7:30 PM, found our room then came down to enjoy some dinner and drinks at the hotel restaurant. Very nice and reasonably priced with good food. I would totally recommend The Meadows Hotel and I'd make a point to stay there again if we're in the area.

I loved it here! The staff was super friendly, the room was clean and super comfortable. The location was great. It has restaurants, a grocery store, walmart and dollar store near by which was really convenient. The hotel also has a bar/restaurant on site and the food was delicious. for breakfast, they gave out $5 vouchers where you can choose between two different places. one was a coffee shop that had pastries and breakfast sandwiches and the other was more of a sit down restaurant. we tried both places and liked them both. those vouchers definitely came in handy. love that it was a smaller hotel which made it quiet and feel more intimate and cozy. It gave a family feel to it. If I travel back to Kentucky, I will definitely be staying here again and I recommend others to stay here as well.

Room was nice and bathroom was large. However there are no hooks to hang your towels when you shower. They lay on the sink. There is no breakfast on site. You get a voucher to go over to a small café. It is within walking distance. They do gave a restaurant on site. Bed was very comfy.

Absolutely friendly staff and great restaurant/bar onsite. This will definitely be my place to stay if I am in town again.

Bar was cozy and had a good selection. No breakfast, but The Meadows offered vouchers to nearby breakfast places - very convenient! Beautiful elegant rooms, but wish the curtains had closed tighter to block the light from the nearby street corner. Would have liked a towel rack in the bathroom, but that's a minor issue. Would recommend!

We had an amazing stay at The Meadows Hotel. Truly a diamond in a small town. The bar was well stocked and the restaurant was delicious. The room was very comfortable, with top of the line bedding and sheets. We will be back again, as I'm a land agent and frequent the area often.

I did not like having to stay in a room where there was potential mold on the air vent, a smell of mildow lingering, and popping sounds of the mini fridge. I did report these conditions to your staff/ employee Patrick.

The property was very clean and the staff very helpful.

The check in staff was excellent. Room # 3 ceiling vent was dirty and apparently had mole, which sent my partner into an Asthma episode. The clerk very graciously transferred us to Room 11, which was excellent. We enjoyed the two $5.00 vouchers at the local restaurant and met the local people, and then went to the Banana Festival.

We stayed while in town for baseball games. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was gorgeous and very clean. Would absolutely stay here again.

A couple of things slightly soured our stay. First the TV was out and the continental breakfast was a joke. Literally had 3 plastic wrapped pastries and a pack of Hostess blueberry mini muffins, off brand to boot.

The room was generally just OK. Only two flimsy wire hangers in the closet, not luggage racks to place luggage on, one of the two sinks did not drain at all, Expedia advertised free breakfast but the hotel only provided a $5 breakfast voucher for each person which did not cover the cost of breakfast (very disappointed with this). Expedia misrepresented the free breakfast for sure.

Save yourself and do not stay here. From outward appearance, we thought this was going to be a cute little boutique hotel where we could get a good night's sleep. Their website advertises an included breakfast. Not only does it not even include a cheesy continental breakfast there, you get given a $5 voucher to use at 2 restaurants in town where $5 won't come close to covering breakfast. The first night, the fridge in the room was clanking so loudly that we were woken up repeatedly. We figured, these things can happen and unplugged it for the second night. Not getting any sleep the first night, we were really ready for some rest night two. Housekeeping never came in and re-set the room. The second night was absolutely horrible. There is a bar/restaurant on the first level that apparently is the party spot for the town and where they have no issues over serving their patrons. We got to the hotel around midnight and encounter 6-10 very drunken college aged people. We went upstairs and assumed they would leave and we could get some rest. Apparently they were staying in the hotel as well. Yelling, kicking and banging on doors, doors slamming, and arguing went on until 3am. I called the front desk. They did very little to assure me they would get the situation under control. I gave them 30 minutes, then had to call the non-emergency police number. Around 3:30am, it finally calmed down. We had to get up at 6:00am so got no sleep for two nights.

Beautiful, well maintained and updated historic hotel. Beautifully decorated. Overall, its a quiet place but it does sit right on the corner of an intersection. So early morning trucks woke me. If it weren't for that I would give it 5 stars!

This hotel was a nice surprise. Many of the chain hotels along our route home were booked so we decided to stay here. Our room was nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. A few things were minor issues but we didn’t bring them up during our stay because we were tired and just went to bed. The TV didn’t seem to have any service. The room was also very cold when we arrived and took a long time to warm up. The thermostat was confusing but eventually we figured it out and we woke up to a warm room. Also, there was a broken water pipe at the restaurant and they were unable to honor our breakfast vouchers. But it all worked out and ultimately we were satisfied. I would stay there again if I ever found myself in that area.

Loved that as we checked in, we were walked to our room and let in to make sure that everything was in good shape. I was also very happy with the rooms and the comfortable furniture. Bathroom was renovated. All in all very impressed with a small town Hotel. I would definitely stay again when visiting UTM.

Apparently they were staying in the hotel as well. Yelling, kicking and banging on doors, doors slamming, and arguing went on until 3am. I called the front desk. They did very little to assure me they would get the situation under control. I gave them 30 minutes, then had to call the non-emergency police number. Around 3:30am, it finally calmed down. We had to get up at 6:00am so got no sleep for two nights.

Severe storms caused us to cancel our trip the day before arrival, which was a day after the cancelation window. The hotel did not refund our payment and communication was through automated messages with no personal response. Hotel may be great but I was not impressed with the service considering the flooding which prevented our arrival.

The Meadows is one of our favorite places to stay. The staff are amazing, and the town and residents are the friendliest and most hospitable that you will find anywhere. We will certainly be back!

The place was nice, very clean, and very quiet. Hotel was unique. There is no free breakfast there as advertised. They give a coupon for you to use at a restaurant nearby. They should not advertise free breakfast.
