The staff was very courteous and allowed us to check in early. Part of the reason I booked this hotel was for the amenities such as the pool, and the use of gym and hot tub. We checked in the staff member told us the pool is closed for the season and the gym is under construction. If I would have known this ahead, I would have selected a different hotel.

The parking lot was questionable. Guys by the back entrance, hovering at times, then going into the hotel. Seemed unsafe at times. Also trash area outside needed some attn, appeared dirty & neglected. Location was convenient however.

Had a handicapped room right by an elevator on 4th floor, which broke down the day after checking in for 9 days. Was never fixed. Staff said they had calls put into the repair service and they never called back. Other than that, the staff was great. Breakfast was just a bunch of carbs. Pool was nice.

Pool was shut down, bed mattress could use an update. Lumpy and old. Meal choice at breakfast was typical low cost affair. Did have fresh fruit and cerals. No eggs other thwn hard boiled, had biscut and gravy and waffels. No proteins. I liked the staff and lobby area, rooms were clean. Gym was good. Lots of acesnearby within walking distance to eat all day and late night. Beach was a short walk easy walk. Nice area. Lots of things for kids to do as well in area.

The room was not clean — there were hairs all over the bed. I immediately called the front desk and reported the issue, but after waiting 30–40 minutes, no one showed up. I had no choice but to leave the hotel and find another place to stay. This completely ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing family vacation.

The lady who checked us in was very kind and a pleasure to talk to. Our room was clean and odorless. The limited Dish channels on the TV was a bit of a bummer when he relaxed after a full day of activities, but we didn't select this hotel for the TV service. Wireless service was easy to log into and was speedy enough.

This property was not clean. The air vent in the bathroom was visibly full of dust and dirt, and the bathtub had a ring that appeared to be stained. During our stay, the cleaning staff did not clean our room; they only emptied some of the trash and left a few towels. When we went to the front desk to request additional towels, we were informed that they did not have any available and that towels should have been left when our room was serviced. They only provided two sets of towels for our group of four.

I used to go here because it was reasonably-priced and a decent quality hotel. But lately the price has gone up, while the overall quality of the facility has gone down. I frequently had to fight with the bathtub faucet to get the water temperature to change at all. Over the course of my stay, my room card stopped working twice. Fortunately staff were nice about reprogramming it both times. Overall, it feels like the place has let itself go recently.

Room was clean, however there was a sewer smell my husband and I smelled the entire time. We stayed 3 nights. The room did not include cable tv or hair dryers in the bathroom. The hotel is located 2 blocks from the beach so we were able to walk there which was very convenient.

Coffee maker was crap. The plastic basket for the coffee itself would not stay in place. I had to physically hold it in place while the coffee brewed. Electrical outlets are inconveniently located… and there were no USB outlets in the room. Let’s talk Wi-Fi: This alone will be a future determination factor when I plan my next Myrtle Beach visit. I honestly had faster internet speed on dial-up connections in the 1990’s. It was a joke! There needs to be built-in USB outlets.

Bed was comfy, shower was great . Wish guests would be quiet especially slamming doors and talking at 3 am when checking into hotel not to mention the dogs barking. Not a three min walk to beach more like 10, breakfast could be better like maybe scrambled eggs & sausage not much of a choice besides breads.

Staff very nice, hotel good place for a night or two. You are able to hear other guests in the rooms next to yours. When we stayed the guests next to us had the tv on all night 24 hours and loud. Hard to sleep. Told the front desk they said yeah you are right. That was it.

The customer service upon arrival was terrible--the "manager" was very confrontational with customers including myself. Hidden fees were required before i was able to be checked in, even though my reservation was already paid for prior to entering facility. Continental breakfast was very limited . I was very unimpressed by what was offered, and had to go outside the hotel to eat breakfast! Overall, i dont think I'd ever book this hotel for future stays.

After spending the time to check in online ahead of time the hotel didn’t care and had not processed it. Plus the had an additional deposit that was not advertised. The hotel was understaffed and the wait to check in was over 30 mins with an unfriendly staff member. The room was fine. Limited towels and soaps barely enough for one when there were 2 of us.

Tatiana was awful. She represents everything a customer facing employee shouldn’t be. Also, we specifically asked to be put in a quiet room. We then had some of the worst noise we’ve ever experienced in a hotel including someone continually trying to open the door that connects 2 rooms. We had it locked, but I felt unsafe and slept with a knife all night to protect my children. There was no point in telling reception as Tatiana was on her shift and I know she wouldn’t have cared. Room smelled of damp, damp marks on lamps and walls, sheets were stained, the list continues. Unfortunately there are just so many things I could list being wrong with our stay but again, no one seems to care. All I can do is warn people not to stay here.

The staff was friendly, but a little confusing/confused on their pet policy and fees. What should have been $25 we were charged $125 for, and that doesn’t count the fact that we were double charged the $100 deposit. Our credit card was hit for over $300 for fees and deposits and it was a waiting game to see if it would actually be refunded. I don’t mind at all paying a deposit and waiting for it to be released, but we were charged more than 10x the amount the final charges should have been and they were finalized and then refunded. I’ve never had a hotel handle it that way but more importantly they kept saying that on their end it didn’t show what I was clearly seeing on my bank account. I needed a pet friendly hotel and it served the purpose, but I’m not sure I’d stay again.

When we first arrived the person at the desk stated that they would notify us as soon as a room became available. We then waited at the lobby for about two hours and my husband wanted to buy a drink which they asked want to put it on the tab? He told them we don’t have a room yet and the person then stated oh we have a room available. The light in the entrance worked day one but then day two it went out. We notified the person at the desk she stated ok our maintenance person arrives at one. He never came. My husband and I stood there a whole week and if we need a change of towels we needed to ask at the desk, which I think is ridiculous along with ask for housekeeping to freshen up the room when there is a sign stating they will come every third day. Pool area- a few of the chairs were broken so you really couldn’t lye down and catch some sun. Pool needed to be cleaned and vacuumed. Overall when we talked to one person who I think is the manager she didn’t even put a smile on her face. It was as if we were bothering her.

We didn’t appreciate not being able to cancel our reservation without being penalized for the entire cost of stay, nor was it explained to us, nor did we ever receive a copy of receipt in person or by email as was stated at front desk. We feel robbed, someone could have told us your policy, that would have been the proper thing to do as we might have reconsidered our stay. The physical location itself wasn’t terrible, the room was clean, the front desk guy was nice, the other guests were friendly, it just wasn’t our vibe with pet rabbits and huge dogs, not to mention people cooking in their room?? We have stayed at La Quinta in other cites and really enjoyed it, but this time certainly leaves a sour feeling and will affect our future plans to visit another of your locations. Honesty goes a long way and we understand policy but clarity is important too. In the future make your policy well known to cut down on confusion, I for one would appreciate it.

Clean room, friendly staff, Air conditioning, continental breakfast was included, access to (sm.)workout room there was an outside pool on the property however it was closed for the season. Several restaurants beach and mini golf in Walking distance. The only downside and the reason for giving 4 stars instead of five was due to the smell of the room. The hotel was pet friendly and carpeted so there was a lingering smell. However not over bearing. I was able to go to the local Walmart which was 2-3 miles driving distance and grab a can of air freshener. Took care of the smell.

We stayed five days, and I must say that the staff was very nice, hotel is small but well-kept and clean. The location of this hotel is approximately 2mins from the beach and other attractions. Only complaint is maybe adding some meat to the complimentary breakfast.

Great Location, Simple Stay This hotel has a great location—just a 4-minute walk to a quiet, uncrowded beach. It’s also about 10 minutes from Broadway, where you’ll find a variety of restaurants to suit all tastes. Keep in mind that the hotel offers a very simple stay. Daily housekeeping is not provided, so plan accordingly. The room is basic, but they do provide the towels you need. The room was very nice. Most of the place was good. BUT their breakfast was terrible, many problems. No fruit or protein one day, juice machine inop or ran out of coffee another. There was never a full service available. I'm surprised because La Quinta is usually pretty good.

This was a great place to stay while our kids were on a campout. The hotel was clean, safe and in my budget, which are the main things I look for. The breakfast, while mostly the standard hotel stuff was actually a bit better. Most hotels offer those make your own waffles, but the batter that they use made really good waffles, and the syrup was really good. It didn't taste like brown sugar water. They also had some decent biscuits and gravy. Overall, it was an excellent stay.

Room was great, however housekeeping would not provide extra towels for our 2nd day and didn't speak English. Breakfast was horrible! Our 1st morning at 9:00 when we went down for food, there was nothing left. They said they ran out. 2nd morning was only breads/cereals offered. It was supposed to be a Continental Breakfast which I assumed would include fruit and possibly yogurt.
