Breakfast offered many healthy choices. Parked on street in front of hotel. Charming renovation of hotel and rooms. Loved the cozy lounge on 2nd floor and the lovely dining room. Wished the bed pillows had been fluffier.

A comfortable and delightful place to stay. Kind of a cross between a B and B and an hotel. Liked the elevator, second floor sitting area with games, common fridge and microwave down the hall, Joseph! Would stay again and hope to do more travels through that area of Oregon

We love this hotel. The lounge areas are very comfortable and stocked with games, books, and a beautiful chess set. The rooms are fresh and attractive and the beds are comfortable. Lovely breakfast room with excellent breakfast choices. Helpful, friendly staff. Adjoining Wild Sage restaurant/ bar also very good.

If you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle this 1920s remodeled hotel is the place for you. the city has little to do. You’re in the middle of nowhere. I couldn’t find a store open after 7 PM on a Friday night, had one restaurant to choose from that was open late, and it was at the hotel. Rooms were clean and functional, bed was comfortable, had extra blankets and even robes hanging for you to use a small TV that pivoted from the bedroom to your sitting room no microwave or refrigerator in the room, ( but we’re available at the end of the hall ) But had a coffee maker, that this coffee junky appreciated. Conclusion, it was a very nice place to stay the city not having much excitement doesn’t affect the hotel and I have another trip planned next year and I am looking forward to staying at hotel Condon again

This place was so accommodating, we checked in late, they left our keys on the counter waiting for us. We brought our dog, the fee was only $20! They have an elevator so our old dog didnt have to walk the stairs. Breakfast was great too!

Excellent front desk staff. Overall this location was good except single issue: Which was very dirty shower curtain. I've stayed in very unclean hotel rooms before, but it is another degree of uncleanliness when seeing at eye level. had multiple residues of varying substances crusted from previous occupant(s) of the room.

We love this beautiful hotel, it’s our favorite place to go. Unfortunately it is not as clean as it used to be. The carpet in our room was filthy. The wicker bench at the foot of the bed was in very poor condition and needs to go to the dump.

Very courteous staff. Charming hotel, with tidy rooms. Lovely ambience in the hotel and in the breakfast area. Decent breakfast with types of food as expected. The room was clean, but probably would’ve benefited from a quick re-clean before check-in. Elevator a little old, but to be expected from a historic hotel. The hotel uses actual metal keys, and has a policy of leaving the key on the reception desk with a name printed out on a piece of paper. This is a security issue that large chain hotels avoid. They should look into maintaining confidentiality as to which room you are going to be in.

Absolutely beautiful property with the kindest staff. Dorothy was such a pleasure to talk to and the restaurant staff was also amazingly considerate and attentive (I’m so sorry we didn’t catch their names) we will absolutely be back one day. Rooms are spacious and clean thank you guys for a great time. We even extended our stay an extra night we liked it so much!

This is a comfortable well renovated historical hotel. There is the Wild Sage Cafe attached to the hotel open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Bed is very comfortable. Would appreciate a bit larger TV placed at eye level, not 8 feet off the ground. Great set of cable channels. Great continental breakfast.

Proprietor of the property was very friendly, helpful and gracious. The property itself is a historic charm but with that comes the squeaky floors from the room above, the AC unit that isn’t sealed in the window allowing cold air (at 40 degrees) to flow in all night and the needs to be replaced (or seriously cleaned) carpet. The town closes up by 6:30 pm except the Elks club so be prepared by eating ahead, bringing what you need or heading on over to the Elks. The countryside is beautiful and as scenic as it comes! Just request a top floor room or bring ear plugs.

Wow, what a neat place! Really liked the common areas on the 2nd and 3rd floors. We played chess and read to the kids there. No need for the fireplace this time of year, but it was pretty. Beds super comfy, really comfortable rooms. We'll be sure to be there on a weekend next time when the bar is open.

This was an unusual experience in that during our stay we never encountered a single staff member. When we arrived the keys for several rooms were sitting on the counter with our names. We left rather early, so we returned the keys to the counter. It's a nice hotel and in good condition considering it's over 100 years old. Our room was very nice. There is a shared fridge in the hallway and an icemaker that wasn't working. The town closes at 6pm with the exception of the hotel bar/restaurant. Plan ahead as there will be literally nothing open after 6.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Joseph is an extremely friendly, personable hotelier, and his hotel is in immaculate condition. The period furniture and paintings take guests on a journey back to the time of the founders. The food in the hotel's restaurant and the extensive breakfast also pleasantly surprised us. A thoroughly positive experience.

Beautiful old hotel. Front desk hours are limited so call ahead if you have questions. Room was clean and lots of extra touches in the hotel. Condon is a quiet little town. The hotel dining room was closed the two days we were there. Apparently every Mon &Tues. But hotel did provide an extensive continental breakfast each day. There is a coffee shop, Condon Local, across the street. I highly recommend! Good coffee and great brisket burritos. Peaceful and relaxing for sure!

Charming old style hotel in the equally charming town of Condon. The rooms are clean, bright and in great condition. The breakfast was a little disappointing being a standard self service cold buffet (but good coffee!) a cooked breakfast would be more in keeping with the style of the hotel. Unfortunately the town of Condon lacks bars, pubs and restaurants and so the only option is to cross the main street to the Elks Lodge where you can get a good drink and pub meal at a good price in a rather dingy basement room. Charming old style hotel in the equally charming town of Condon. The rooms are clean, bright and in great condition. The breakfast was a little disappointing being a standard self service cold buffet (but good coffee!) a cooked breakfast would be more in keeping with the style of the hotel. Unfortunately the town of Condon lacks bars, pubs and restaurants and so the only option is to cross the main street to the Elks Lodge where you can get a good drink and pub meal at a good price in a rather dingy basement room. Wonderful older boutique hotel at the heart of Condon. Easy drive to/from Cottonwood Canyon State Park (30 minutes away). One of the only (if not the only) place to stay north of John Day Fossil Bed National Park (90 minutes away). Well renovated rooms, dining room and public areas respecting the historical character of the property. Clean and comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Friendly and attentive staff. Make sure to arrive early in the evening as dining options are (very) limited in Condon.

If you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle this 1920s remodeled hotel is the place for you. the city has little to do. You’re in the middle of nowhere. I couldn’t find a store open after 7 PM on a Friday night, had one restaurant to choose from that was open late, and it was at the hotel. Rooms were clean and functional, bed was comfortable, had extra blankets and even robes hanging for you to use a small TV that pivoted from the bedroom to your sitting room no microwave or refrigerator in the room, ( but we’re available at the end of the hall ) But had a coffee maker, that this coffee junky appreciated. Conclusion, it was a very nice place to stay the city not having much excitement doesn’t affect the hotel and I have another trip planned next year and I am looking forward to staying at hotel Condon again

Having the hotel as a home base was perfect for our day trips to see the amazing Painted Hills. And, at the end of the day, we loved relaxing in the cozy lounge area right on our floor. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming.

The Hotel Condon is an historic landmark in Condon. The town itself is very small and seems to be struggling to survive. If you are looking for nightlife, this is not the place for you. Dining options are very limited. The man we dealt with at the Hotel was very nice.

Hotel was cute. No staff at desk checking in or checking out. Toilet ran all night. Holes in comforter. Restaurant was awful. Pork loin was rubbery and over cooked. Chef came out saying something broke and couldn't make dish the way it stated so she subbed out sides for watery purred cauliflower and bland zucchini. Never came out to check on us even though we were the only patrons.

We love this hotel. The lounge areas are very comfortable and stocked with games, books, and a beautiful chess set. The rooms are fresh and attractive and the beds are comfortable. Lovely breakfast room with excellent breakfast choices. Helpful, friendly staff. Adjoining Wild Sage restaurant/ bar also very good.

Beautiful old hotel. Front desk hours are limited so call ahead if you have questions. Room was clean and lots of extra touches in the hotel. Condon is a quiet little town. The hotel dining room was closed the two days we were there. Apparently every Mon &Tues. But hotel did provide an extensive continental breakfast each day. There is a coffee shop, Condon Local, across the street. I highly recommend! Good coffee and great brisket burritos. Peaceful and relaxing for sure!

Really interesting hotel, especially in a such a small town. Had to find a place short notice while going to the Painted Hills and this place was great! Everything was nice and well maintained and it's a very beautiful historic building. Highly recommended!

Wonderful stay. Only one small hitch. Hours posted on the door said front desk open 7:30-12. We arrived at 11:50 but no one available. Not a big problem for us, we just returned around 4:30 and checked in with very helpful and friendly host. I'd definitely recommend the hotel to others.
