The Hotel has an upgrade to the King’s Club which is superb. They offer a continental breakfast, lunch and hors d’oeuvres in the evening. We travel internationally and enjoy luxury boutique hotels. Pro: Luxury hotel with wonderful hotel staff! We loved everything about it...the room, our view, the turn-down service, food, amenities, location, and more. Improvements Needed: The gym needs some updating (one treadmill works), the rooftop has a great view however, we were overlooked numerous times our first night, did not return. The pool is nice but grab a chair early, there is no vibe (bring your own music) but the drinks are great. Our favorite restaurant (for locals) was Bistronomy by Nico.

What a beautiful property! The lobby smells wonderful, like a Disney resort for those of you who understand. The staff were exemplary! We were absolutely well taken care of. We would absolutely return! 10/10! The staff walked us up to our room and gave us a full tour, explaining everything. The patisserie was excellent as well! The hotel has complimentary umbrellas by the front door, which comes in handy for a pop up shower and some shade! The hotel was very conveniently located, within walking distance of almost everything. I only have a few things of note. First, our view was of the building next door. Nothing to see. (Room 541) Second, everything is expensive. Most cocktails in restaurants are about $16, but in the hotel most are $21. But they are very good cocktails with a very lovely environment to sit and relax. Third, parking is expensive! They charge more than Disney. Also, the pool is lovely, but it is small, accommodating only about 24 people unless you want to stand in the pool or pay extra for a very expensive cabana. Go early, before 11 to get a seat. We tried to go another time and every single seat was taken. Finally, the staff door on the fifth floor is loud, and the staff repeatedly let the door slam over and over and over, early and late.

The hotel pool manager Delton was rude and clearly more interested in going home as he closed the pool on multiple occasions for the day in early afternoon even though it was only a little cloudy and didn’t even rain.

From the moment we arrived at Hotel Bennett, we were immersed in an atmosphere of refined elegance and genuine Southern hospitality. This hotel isn’t just a place to stay, it’s an experience. The location is unbeatable. It's right at the heart of historic downtown Charleston, with King Street's shops, galleries, and restaurants just steps away. We visited the amazing jazz club Forte, and it's 5 minutes walk. Yet inside the hotel, everything feels calm, serene, and luxurious. The staff was outstanding. Every interaction: from the valet to the front desk, housekeeping to the restaurant servers, was warm, professional, and attentive. They truly made us feel welcome and cared for. We had breakfast at the lovely French bakery attached to the hotel (La Pâtisserie), and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We decided to indulge and ordered every dessert to try, and each one more delicious than the last. It was an unforgettable treat, and a perfect way to start the day with a bit of decadence. We also had Champaigne and snack at Camellias at night. It's the stunning pink champagne bar feels like stepping into a dream. The rooftop pool area was another highlight with sweeping views of Charleston’s historic skyline. We can’t wait to return.

Beautiful hotel, great service--staff were outstanding. We went during the week, and were spared some of the weekend crowds. The pool is a little on the small side, but balanced by the rooftop bar. We would definitely go back!

Classy place, however, the rooftop pool and the non existent shade need serious improvement. The premium status of this hotel should afford each guest a place to sit pool side and provide shade. My poor wife had to sit on the floor of the pool deck for hours in the 100 degree weather with not shade. Only after a coupe hours was a seat available. The focus is instead on an additional $grab they collect with the limited cabana that are rented and sometimes not even occupied. Additionally, the pastry shop and restaurant had no 1/2 and 1/2 for coffee Saturday.Again, for the "status" of this hotel, Run down to the corner store and grab it . Finally the restaurant is mediocre and way over priced. They need some new non corporate blood in there to spice things up.

My husband and I stayed at the Bennett the first weekend of November. Although the hotel was nice and very well located, I came back the first day from outside to find in the bathroom toilet a makeup wipe dirty of my red lipstick! I went to tell the manager and she seemed horrified, she told me that she was taking this incident very seriously, promised me to buy a new lipstick and to keep me posted about the investigations she was doing. In the end she did absolutely nothing! I had to chaise her to ask if she had any news the day after and of course she never sent the lipstick. The idea that someone came to my room while i was outside and used my lipstick is pretty gross and what’s even worse is the fact that the MANAGER, did not care at all! Yes she did offer to change room for us, but our room was fine, the cleaning service…not so much! In the end we got ‘one day free breakfast’ and I am still waiting for my lipstick to come! I won’t ever go there again, and you should think twice before going! Clearly, the manager does not care if “someone” comes to your room and uses your make up! Pretty unprofessional if you ask me! Horrible experience! Terrible costumer service!

The hotel is beautiful,, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms are nicely put together. The only thing they need to improve is the linen cleaning- the towels and sheets had a smell to them as if they had been used to dry off a wet dog. Otherwise, this property is fabulous.

Very nice hotel great vibe. Mostly greatly friendly staff. Room had issues air conditioning, blinds need repair. Room cleanliness Should have been much better. Needed to request fresh towels and more and to service room.

Fantastic place to stay in Charleston! Close to great restaurants, bars and shopping! Highly recommend The Bennett! Big shout out to Natalie from Shrewsbury, MA who works the roof top pool…she was fantastic to my fiance and me during our 3 night stay. Hotel is very clean and the staff was terrific!

Was extremely happy from the moment we stepped out of our car receiving attention right away to start unloading and checking in. Everyone during our stay was always very attentive asking if we needed anything. The room was very clean and spacious. Complimentary Nespresso was also very nice in the mornings.

Beautiful rooms and excellent service. We loved that we had some refrigerator space for leftovers or dessert. The bathtub is a great feature, and hard to find in other hotels in Charleston. We will definitely be returning to Hotel Bennett.

The Bennett is the loveliest hotel that I’ve ever stayed at. Beautiful, luxurious rooms. The drapes are made of gorgeous fabric, and you just press a switch on the wall and they open and close! The bathroom has a marble walk in shower and there’s an enormous stand alone tub. Turn down service every night. (we stayed 4) . The entire hotel has the best decor. Everything and everyone couldn’t be nicer.

The location was good and the room was tiny but nicely appointed as was the bathroom. I had booked a patio room and the patio was a joke… more like a concrete box with no view. No complimentary coffee service in the hotel. The front desk staff was poor, bellmen were great. Having stayed at Charleston Place, the Vendue and the Bohemian, I would stay at any of those before I would stay at The Bennet again.

What a beautiful property! The lobby smells wonderful, like a Disney resort for those of you who understand. The staff were exemplary! We were absolutely well taken care of. We would absolutely return! 10/10! The staff walked us up to our room and gave us a full tour, explaining everything. The patisserie was excellent as well! The hotel has complimentary umbrellas by the front door, which comes in handy for a pop up shower and some shade! The hotel was very conveniently located, within walking distance of almost everything. I only have a few things of note. First, our view was of the building next door. Nothing to see. (Room 541) Second, everything is expensive. Most cocktails in restaurants are about $16, but in the hotel most are $21. But they are very good cocktails with a very lovely environment to sit and relax. Third, parking is expensive! They charge more than Disney. Also, the pool is lovely, but it is small, accommodating only about 24 people unless you want to stand in the pool or pay extra for a very expensive cabana. Go early, before 11 to get a seat. We tried to go another time and every single seat was taken. Finally, the staff door on the fifth floor is loud, and the staff repeatedly let the door slam over and over and over, early and late.

We come to Charleston often but this was our first stay at Hotel Bennett. We often stay across the park at the Dewberry, and found the Bennett to be slightly more convenient in proximity to shops and restaurants. The property is beautiful, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The concierge helped us sniff out some new places we’d not been previously that were fabulous. The view of the park is spectacular. However, our premier kind corner room was cramped (we travelled with two littles) and we had to regularly call for our room to be cleaned. We also found the acoustics of the hotel to be noisy, and the air conditioner clicking on and off was so loud it would literally wake the baby. The water was not always hot in the bathtub (but when it was, it was great). The room service menu was limited, but they did accommodate some special requests from my toddler. All in all, it was a good experience.

My husband and I stayed at the Bennett the first weekend of November. Although the hotel was nice and very well located, I came back the first day from outside to find in the bathroom toilet a makeup wipe dirty of my red lipstick! I went to tell the manager and she seemed horrified, she told me that she was taking this incident very seriously, promised me to buy a new lipstick and to keep me posted about the investigations she was doing. In the end she did absolutely nothing! I had to chaise her to ask if she had any news the day after and of course she never sent the lipstick. The idea that someone came to my room while i was outside and used my lipstick is pretty gross and what’s even worse is the fact that the MANAGER, did not care at all! Yes she did offer to change room for us, but our room was fine, the cleaning service…not so much! In the end we got ‘one day free breakfast’ and I am still waiting for my lipstick to come! I won’t ever go there again, and you should think twice before going! Clearly, the manager does not care if “someone” comes to your room and uses your make up! Pretty unprofessional if you ask me! Horrible experience! Terrible costumer service!

The stay at Hotel Bennett was top notch! The room was immaculate. The staff was friendly and very helpful. A specail shout out to the concierge for having incredible suggestions and maps to help us make the most of our time. The room cleaning staff did a fantastic job everytime and went above and beyond with small details like wrapping our chargers and leaving water bottles by the bed. I really can't say enough good things about our stay here and would highly recommend Hotel Bennett to everyone! You really get what you pay for here.

My wife of 49 years and I stayed at the Bennett from 3-25-2023 to 3-29-2023. At the end of our stay, we both wished we were staying longer. From the minute we were greated by the valet at the front door upon check-in until they wished us safe travels after check-out, we saw nothing but well groomed, attractive, knowledgeable and very friendly staff at the hotel. Mr. Bennett must have an excellent HR Director because only the best employees have been selected. We would like to specially mention Adam, the Bellman who took our luggage to our room the first day, and who continued assisting us whenever we asked; Annika, the Manager of the girls at the front desk, who was most helpful to us with various things throughout our stay and lastely, but certainly not least, we want to recognize Kevin McQuade, the Lead Concierge, who helped plan out our entire stay and even made recommendations for a subsequent trip we are planning with our entire family at nearby Isle of Palms. Kevin is by far the best concierge we have ever encounted anywhere in America

Great location for shopping but be prepared for a long walk or Uber ride to the French Quarter and the river. Seamless check-in. The front desk was wonderful. Our original room was noisy, so they switched us to a better one. The hotel is beautiful. Did not however get good advice from the concierge. My husband is a pescatarian - I don't think they know what that is. The dining room had no options for him and neither did some of the restaurants that were recommended. He also didn't tell us that the flowers at the plantation known for the azaleas had stopped flowering a month before. Other than that criticism, I recommend this hotel.

The location of The Bennett is superb. Right in the heart of downtown and you can walk everywhere. The shopping and restaurants are close by as well. The staff could not have been more accommodating and pleasant. Will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I loved this hotel! It’s absolutely beautiful and the staff and service was wonderful! The food in their restaurant, the Gabrielle was delicious! The LaPatisserie was great for breakfast! We would highly recommend this hotel!

Our first stay @ this property in Charleston. We were very impressed with both the physical plant and the staff we interacted with. All the staff is well trained and seem to know what to say to make you feel special. Our King room with a verandah was nicely appointed with a lovely main room and bathroom. It was on the third floor and we heard only the occasional door shutting or someone laughing loudly as they passed our door: never heard anyone above or below us. Well constructed! We ate a quick lunch @ the patisserie with dinner and breakfast @ Gabrielle. The food and service were both top notch. Given the heat the rooftop pool and bar were very busy. It is nice that it borders an intown park. It is a little over 0.6 miles to Market Street and many of the nicer restaurants.

It was good and most of the team that works there was lovely. But I expected excellent based on the reviews. We rented a pool cabana for the day. We arrived with a surprise slice of birthday cake from Halls. The staff took it out of our fridge and through it out. They also charged us for something we didn’t order and even after follow up didn’t remove it from our bill. I had to call well after 4 to see if our room was ready. Just a bunch of missteps for a high end hotel. Room service was great and the food was delicious. Room was lovely.

Classy place, however, the rooftop pool and the non existent shade need serious improvement. The premium status of this hotel should afford each guest a place to sit pool side and provide shade. My poor wife had to sit on the floor of the pool deck for hours in the 100 degree weather with not shade. Only after a coupe hours was a seat available. The focus is instead on an additional $grab they collect with the limited cabana that are rented and sometimes not even occupied. Additionally, the pastry shop and restaurant had no 1/2 and 1/2 for coffee Saturday.Again, for the "status" of this hotel, Run down to the corner store and grab it . Finally the restaurant is mediocre and way over priced. They need some new non corporate blood in there to spice things up.

The guys that parked the truck and open the doors were awesome the staff was amazing and amenities were awesome it was a great stay and it was perfectly located to shopping and the concierge was awesome it was a great experience it was 4 in a 2 queen room with seating more than another space for us four great bathroom I would definitely recommend this hotel

The room and amenities on property were fantastic; staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast had many choices and I especially enjoyed the noon checkout.
