Not much to the breakfast just scrambled eggs, toast, and coffee and maybe some fruit. Not much parking space for all the rooms. The pool is very small and gets very crowded quickly. The beds is not comfortable there really hard like a futon mattress, and I had to keep asking for towels because the maids take all the towels and don’t replace them. The staff is kind and friendly and if you ask they’ll fill your request. Just really a low grade hotel but if your on a budget and just need a cheap place to go it’s not bad.

Las instalaciones muy mal, no llegaba el wifi a las habitaciones, un dia no habia agua caliente y no tenin el tel del tecnico, hasta q el llegara a arreglar, al otro dia se fue el agua, la maquina de hielos casi toda la estancia descompuesta Buen desayuno con fruta, cereal, panes y huevo y solo porq yo soy socio marriot me dieron la habitacion a las 2, porq el check in era a las 3 Personal de limpieza muy ajetreado pues son pocos No volveria

Hotel is ok, as advertised. Overall clean, very helpful and friendly staff. Unfortunately, rooms had issues with drainage foul odour. We had to change rooms because of that, but the new room continued to have those issues (although less).

This is my third time staying at this Hotel. The first time was perfect, no issues. The second time the wifi didn’t work, I reported it, but it didn’t get fixed, I figured it was an isolated incident, so I didn’t judge. On my third stay, the wifi wasn’t working again, I reported it again, the reception basically told me, thank you for reporting it, but there was nothing they could do about it. I depend on wifi a lot when I stay in Ensenada, since my electronics are US based, and my international data is limited. I probably won’t stay at this hotel again.

Property is good stayed there several times, however it starting to need some TLC. N appliances need to be cleaned. My 1st room had a coffee maker it was dirty. Just as i was getting ready to start my coffee. 2nd room Pillows were very old. Bed was old.

My stay itself was not bad. The room was tiny, with no coffee maker so that was a point lost. The only negative part to this stay is that when we showered, the bathroom/water smelled like hair-perm activating solution, which is actually gross. Of course, everyone knows better than to drink the water in Baja.

Nice that hotel has security, I believe 24 hours. Staff is friendly. Dislike it took 30 minutes to check in. Room clean but it can be a little deeper. Definitely towels need to be updated, towels stringy. Did enjoy the breakfast, very well balanced and delicious.

Hotel is pretty new. Clean, modern and within my budget. However check in was horrible. Arrived at 2:00pm, receptionist reminded me that check in was until 3:00pm and that why all the people in the lobby were waiting to check in. We left to have something to eat and came back right at 3:00pm and there was so many people checking in with only one receptionist, I asked her if she can call somebody else to assist her and with a rude attitude said that she was busy checking on the rooms. It took us an hour to check in, made us late to our reservation and was not able to reschedule our event! I also asked the receptionist if administration knew how busy the town was and gave scheduled more personnel and she didn’t answer me, she just look at me like “l don’t care!” Security officers were spectacular, friendly and made us feel safe. During the long wait, they were offering water and attending the guests needs.

We stayed one night here on our way down the coast. The staff was very helpful and we felt safe parking our rental car there. Our main disappointment was that the hotel room and floor stunk, it smelled horrible, enough we had to spray perfume around the room multiple times. The room is small, but manageable and the shower was nice. The breakfast had several options and was good overall for a hotel breakfast. It is not very central to the downtown, I would say about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel, doable but it is not centrally located.

City Express is a good choice for staying in Ensenada. Everything is very modern and up to date. Staff is welcoming and friendly 24-7. Hotel has all the amenities expected of an American hotel or what is expected of a hotel abroad. My first concern was the WiFi which was on-and-off throughout our 4 day stay. Somehow hotel management needs to commit to adding routers period. Other comments here confirm this concern. The other issue was breakfast was fine until the eggs one morning came mixed with hot chile/hot sauce which automatically was a no for our 2-year old son and stomach-sensitive wife; and there were not other options. Perhaps provide a set of eggs without spices for family's who prefer non-spicy foods. These are quick fixes and should not take away from the goodness of this facility.
