This property would be amazing if it were kept up properly. HOWEVER, we found that many of the hotel's facilities or services did not work-- for example, the ice makers on both the 3rd and 4th floors were both not only broken but disassembled, the ice maker on the 2nd floor worked but the hallway lights to get to it did not. The women's steam room was entirely out of order, which seems like a pretty large functionality when the wellness area functions featured by the front office and all advertising include a steam room and sauna. We were definitely bummed about it! To top it all off, there was visible mold in our room's bathroom. It feels like perhaps a resort that used to be amazing or might be again, but is in need of some serious maintenance by the ownership. We also booked massage treatments, but our service providers did not ask even cursory questions about injuries or goals for the massage, despite them each coming in at a $200 price tag. Overall, we liked the idea of this place but the experience was unfortunately disappointing in many ways.

Stayed for two nights, property is in very quiet area and has a lot of potential. Only thing is they did not have a hot tub. All in all very happy with the stay. Yoga and meditation sessions were awesome and made you feel relaxed!

There was a tremendous attention to details & the place was spectacular, jaw dropping actually. We had a lot of fun in the game room, especially dart, ping-pong & pool/billiards. I had a suite with a sliding door & a patio. There’s is also a massage room with massage table in my suite. The bathroom has a steam room and built-in bench in the shower, the toilet seat was heated and had a bidet. A zen environment with a variety of yoga/meditation room furnished for each genre. Everyone was so do chill from the to the patrons to the employees. There a lot to do on campus, awesome lake view and sunset/sunrise, yoga and meditation all day. They had cannondale bikes you can take trailing on the 2 available trails on campus. We also rode alongside the lake. I had a mini hike also on the trail. The breakfast was complimentary and delicious. The other meals were vegetarian and delicious, even meat lovers loved it. Reception staff was very nice and accommodating. There’s a casino close by, skiing & shopping center. The only disadvantage was the jacuzzi & hot tubs around the faculty were out of service for months, the pool was freezing so no one used it & the room was also cold. I wanted the option of paying for my meals and not having it charged to the room, it made it hard to tip if you didn’t have cash. I wish there was a better choice of current movies in the movie theatre there.

I loved the hotel and amenities. Unfortunately the jacuzzi was not working and pool was not heated. This is a big part of why I chose this hotel and I was disappointed. They did offer a comp - of aromatherapy bath so that was nice. But I missed having that jacuzzi. Also there was not a lot of staff around in the spa until later in the day.

The facility was beautiful, clean. There were walking paths and great views of the lake and landscape of the grounds. We only had breakfast at the on-site restaurant which had great options. Downsides were that the heating system for the pool & hot tub was broken and we expected to have more options for yoga and meditation classes (there was only 1 yoga class and 1 sound healing class per day, when we told there were additional classes offered). But we did enjoy our stay overall.

Property was very quiet which was nice but had very limited workers, seemed like a ghost town. Pool opens at 10am and closes at 6pm which was very inconvenient. Food was not so great. Breakfast was the best part, buffet was cold tho. Pool rain out of towels. Towels were stained. I would not go again.

We booked this through Expedia for my fiance's bday. As another review noted, items were not in service thus not as promised or described. The large spa tub in the pool area was drained/not running. The indoor pool was too cold to enter. The hot tubs inside the locker rooms were closed. Upon asking we learned the heating system for these items needed repair, apparently for a long time seeing another post from 8 months ago notes the same experience. As that person noted as well, the grounds need up keep. The large beautiful fountain in front was not running. The sidewalk had goose poop everywhere, you had to dodge it. Expedia tried to get us a refund due to the issues but the facility has a strict refund policy. Too bad they don't have a strict maintenance and upkeep policy or are not transparent about the amenities which are out of service.

This place is run down and way below the standards that it should be. The wifi doesn't work in the rooms, the amenities are mostly broken and it is still very expensive. It is too bad as this could be an amazing space. It has definitely gotten worse over the years.

I just want to save other travelers their time and money, stay away from Y01! There were belongings in the fridge, cabinets, bathroom and drawers from previous guests. The couch had wet spots all over it. There were smashed bugs all over the walls as well as bathrooms. Our balcony couldn’t be utilized due to the enormous spiders that have clearly been nestled in for quite some time. Not to mention the ones that were nesting in our room. There were used tissues on the coffee table near the machine and condom wrappers on the floor. An open bottle of liquor in the fridge along with what seemed to be pubic hair on the bed sheets. On top of all this, there was narcotics in the bathroom drawers. Needles and syringes still loaded, displayed in the bathroom drawer. The pool area had dried up dead bugs all over. For the price point and luxury this resort is supposed to inhabit, it’s is not only a waste of money but an added stressor to what was supposed to be a peaceful trip. We traveled 2 hours and spent most of our stay down the road at the Kartrite, then overnight in our car because the room was so unclean.

We had a wonderful Valentine’s Day weekend at YO1 resort. It’s always really peaceful and serene on the property and the amenities are great. Only issue was our bed sheets were stained when we first arrived and it took all day for housekeeping to come change them. Aside from that it was a great stay, will come back again.

Please don’t waste your money. This place has potential, but in its current state, it’s a major disappointment. Marketed as “luxury,” but there's nothing luxurious about it. Even a carnival cruise felt more upscale. I’m not writing this because I lost money, my work covered the cost of my stay so I'm fine and can be honest. After my stay, I read all of the 1-star reviews and every single one was spot-on. The resort’s responses (“we appreciate your feedback,” “personal preferences vary”) avoid the real issues. So here are the facts vs. feelings: Fact: Food is not vegan/organic as advertised; frozen Eggo waffles and hash browns at breakfast. Feeling: Feels cheap and misleading. Fact: Harsh, bright lighting. Feeling: More hospital than spa. Fact: Stained carpets, dirty mini fridge, stained towel at acupuncture. Feeling: Poor cleaning and upkeep. Fact: Massage therapist 10 min late. Feeling: not a luxurious experience. Fact: Latte made with Cafe Bustelo, charged $10.95. Feeling: Overpriced. We have a great stay over the past weekend at yO1. The facility is beautiful. I loved the vegetarian food concept there. It was a nice peaceful stay. The yoga classes are great, must try the Nidra yoga session. It was something I never experienced before! I will say that the carpets are quite disgusting as there are old stains that have never been cleaned properly before and some parts of the building need to be up kept with maintenance and repairs. Overall though a very nice place to come for a quiet weekend getaway. I will definitely come back.

What turned me off about this resort is the fact that water was off for about 12hrs during my first night stay. The customer service was extremely lacking during and after this unfortunate issue. There was no manager on-site, no one ever contacted me after the issue. There were a lot of I’m sorry from the front desk that’s it. The carpet looks like it hasn’t been shampooed since they opened the facility. In my suite the balcony was dirty, I had to wipe the chair which were very dusty. The heater for the pool and jacuzzi apparently has been non functional for 1year plus. That’s so sad because the property has potential but it’s run very poorly. I will not recommend! On the other hand the kitchen staff thought was very nice and did a good job.

I like YO1 because it's more upscale than other area options. It offers many amenities and activities. Staff is generally friendly and accommodating. I didn't like that the pool was closed due to no lifeguard. I also didn't like that none of the outlets in my bathroom were usable, there was a bare wire hanging from a hole in the ceiling, and a few dead bugs on the carpet. To me this indicates no vacuuming between room guests. YO1 doesn't put small refrigerators in its rooms, which is a bummer. The rooms are huge; surely they can throw a fridge in. Also, no coffeemaker in the room, only a tea kettle. I know it's a health resort, but a coffee option, like a small Keurig, would be nice. More hooks and/or a shelf or place to set things down in the bathroom would be good. The bathroom, like the room, is huge, but nowhere to put things makes it wasted space.

Also, no coffeemaker in the room, only a tea kettle. I know it's a health resort, but a coffee option, like a small Keurig, would be nice. More hooks and/or a shelf or place to set things down in the bathroom would be good. The bathroom, like the room, is huge, but nowhere to put things makes it wasted space.

Overall, I would not recommend for those trying to get a true luxury experience (there are far nicer options in upstate ny). This resort is big and has plenty of activities and dining options available. We really enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi and the walking path around the lake. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a nice lake view. We stayed on a Tuesday so we didn’t get to experience many of the amenities that are only available on the weekend like the juice bar. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. This was a relaxing getaway in a quiet setting with plenty of things to do.

There was a tremendous attention to details & the place was spectacular, jaw dropping actually. We had a lot of fun in the game room, especially dart, ping-pong & pool/billiards. I had a suite with a sliding door & a patio. There’s is also a massage room with massage table in my suite. The bathroom has a steam room and built-in bench in the shower, the toilet seat was heated and had a bidet. A zen environment with a variety of yoga/meditation room furnished for each genre. Everyone was so do chill from the to the patrons to the employees. There a lot to do on campus, awesome lake view and sunset/sunrise, yoga and meditation all day. They had cannondale bikes you can take trailing on the 2 available trails on campus. We also rode alongside the lake. I had a mini hike also on the trail. The breakfast was complimentary and delicious. The other meals were vegetarian and delicious, even meat lovers loved it. Reception staff was very nice and accommodating. There’s a casino close by, skiing & shopping center. The only disadvantage was the jacuzzi & hot tubs around the faculty were out of service for months, the pool was freezing so no one used it & the room was also cold. I wanted the option of paying for my meals and not having it charged to the room, it made it hard to tip if you didn’t have cash. I wish there was a better choice of current movies in the movie theatre there.

This place is run down and way below the standards that it should be. The wifi doesn't work in the rooms, the amenities are mostly broken and it is still very expensive. It is too bad as this could be an amazing space. It has definitely gotten worse over the years.

We liked almost everything starting with an amazing room with an awesome shower and sauna across the hall. Food was amazing. I would never thought vegan food can me be so delish. Classes were good and stuff was very nice and helpful. Only disappointment was cold pool. It is a shame because it is an amazing poolside. Anyway, it is obvious that this place is still recovering from covid but they are really trying their best. We wish them good luck and hopefully they will be in a full speed soon.

Had a wonderful and relaxing stay at this hotel! The atmosphere was peaceful, and the staff went above and beyond by upgrading us to a suite—it was such a kind gesture. The room was beautiful and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

The check in was very disappointing, the front desk manager was very non accommodating . Instead of welcoming us warmly as what should a self proclaimed 4 star wellness resort should do, she was more focused on making sure we pay for the additional guests. We were already aware of the extra charges that we have to pay but she made changes on the reservation by trying to charge us more for the meals which should have been included already. She stated that it was an error on the staff that made the reservation for us and that if it will be adjusted , it will be deducted from his paycheck. which was a very unprofessional thing to say. It felt like a cheap attempt to squeeze more money from us. This is actually our 2nd time in this resort, the first visit was impressive thats why we came back with more guests, but it felt like the facility and service deteriorated. The only good thing during this stay was the breakfast.

I have recently booked a two night stay at this property while attending an event in the area. I had the misfortune to arrive in the Catskill in the middle of a heatwave (which affected all the northeast). It was 98 degree outside when I made my way into the YO1 hotel lobby. Upon checking in I was informed by the front desk that their HVAC system was down and there was no AC anywhere in the hotel (they said it might get repair the next day but no guarantee). The air in the lobby was oppressive and the front desk person was clearly struggling with the heat (should have been sent home if you asked me). The employee informed me the hotel management would be reimbursing guests if they chose to cancel their reservation because of the AC situation. So, that's what I did. I went to a nearby property that had working AC. I cancelled my reservation via Expedia the same day and clearly made them aware that the property could not accept guests in these conditions and they should issue me a refund immediately. Expedia gave me the long runaround that they needed to contact the hotel first and they would get back to me. Well, after three days they finally got back to me and said they could not refund my stay as the hotel has not agreed to waive their 48 hour strict cancel policy(the facility was unfit for that). I have called the property but I have not been able to speak with anyone. This is shamefull behavior on the part of the hotel and Expedia.

I booked through Expedia and although it was pretty expensive the options to stay kinda close to Bethel Woods are sparse. I booked a double king and had my rate, but when I checked out it was 399.00. I asked why and the woman said because I booked for one person(I didn’t see that when I booked since I booked 2 king beds) I was charged an extra $100 for the extra person. This makes no sense to me. It’s not like it’s an all inclusive resort.(Did include breakfast). My bf said the breakfast was chaotic and they didn’t have any food when he initially came down, there also was a spill but he couldn’t find anyone to help him so he moved a trash can in front so no one would slip. When he did get the food, there were good options and he was happy with the choices. With all of this being said, the place was pretty clean. The couches looked to have stains and the door was banged up but overall good. There is a gate to make sure you are a guest at the driveway and parking is easily accessible. The entrance is lovely and the property is very pretty. Not a super quick drive from Bethel. Ended up a quick stay because we got there late from the show, no late checkout. This was made very clear at check in. There also are signs at the desk showing the charges for any late check out. I did not use any amenities, so I cannot speak to them. This facility wrongfully charged me for an additional “guest” and when i called to straighten it out they were rude and said they would check it out and get back to me. I’ve stayed at this a hotel twice because I go to concerts at Bethel Woods which is a few hours from my home. I checked in alone and then I went to a Neil Young concert at Bethel. I came back and waived to the night manager as i went up to my room. He i found to be nice, i forget his name but he’s a heavy set guy. I woke up and had to go to work at 6am, i took a shower and left around 6:30. Nobody was at the desk at all so i left my room cards on the check in desk. Abit later i called to make sure they got them and she checked me out. Moments later I got a large charge on my credit card and I called to see what it was. She said it was for a guest and would have the manager look into it and have them call me back. I called the next day and they said they reviewed the cameras and I did indeed have a guest. i told them i had no idea who they were seeing but they were not my guest as i traveled alone, stayed alone, and went home alone. I don’t know what they are up to here but i’ve reported them to my credit card for improper billing and will never return. I refuse to be charged for something I did not do or receive. I was alone

Excellent weekend stay. This is a perfect place if you are looking for a quiet relaxing getaway. The meals offered at resort were vegan only so we ate out at the many restaurants nearby. The yoga classes were awesome as well. I dont understand the negative reviews but it is expensive.

The facility was beautiful, clean. There were walking paths and great views of the lake and landscape of the grounds. We only had breakfast at the on-site restaurant which had great options. Downsides were that the heating system for the pool & hot tub was broken and we expected to have more options for yoga and meditation classes (there was only 1 yoga class and 1 sound healing class per day, when we told there were additional classes offered). But we did enjoy our stay overall.

Property was very quiet which was nice but had very limited workers, seemed like a ghost town. Pool opens at 10am and closes at 6pm which was very inconvenient. Food was not so great. Breakfast was the best part, buffet was cold tho. Pool rain out of towels. Towels were stained. I would not go again.

We came during slow season, so it was quiet and easy to attend the yoga and meditation classes. Staff was attentive and friendly. They were a lot of healthy options for dining. The mud application went very smoothly and staff was knowledgeable. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy throughout the day, even though the pool was pretty cold and the hot tub was unusable. it was perfect for a weekend getaway. The only complaint I have was that I try to modify my reservation to add all meals for an additional charge and it was declined, which made the meals for 3 people a lot more expensive.

This place has so much potential but seems like they ran out of money to complete the thoughts. The boutique had racks but no products. Had a salon that didn’t open. Said had a movie theater but really it was just a tv in common area. Food was ok but website stated elevated vegetarian but it was all options. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Massage area was great. So place could be a destination but needs minor tweaks to make it more guest friendly.

One of the strangest hotels I've ever stayed in. As others have mentioned, the property has a lot of potential but it needs new management. The room was large and clean but the hotel itself was empty on 4th of July weekend. Most days I was the only person in the pool, which closes way too early at 6pm. The view of the lack out back is lovely but once they lock the doors at 6pm you have to walk all the way around the building to get back in. There is bird poop all over chairs outside that seems to never have been cleaned. The ice machine on every floor is broken. No one cleaned our room nor did we ever see cleaners. Also, don't arrive early or they will charge you $75.
