Mama Shelter Lille

L’ensemble était conforme à ce que nous attendions. Dommage qu’il n’y ait pas assez de places de parking quand on rentre tard le soir.

This hotel is very well located. It's got a nice bar/restaurant and a trendy feel to it. I found it mostly to be a well sound proofed hotel, quiet and peaceful, until the Saturday nigtywhen the bar had a very loud dj set until midnight.

Lovely art type hotel. Nice decor - very friendly staff. Parking can be a nightmare. Limited spaces - tricky to know if spaces are available before driving into tight parkade.

Colourful decor in rooms (however if you dislike full length wall mirrors on each side of your bed, you might not like this…) Fridge facilities and safe in room Free movies on tv The restaurant and bar has DJs on the weekend if that’s your vibe (however noise can be heard in the rooms) Bad: Room was quite worn and unclean - there were hair trimmings by the sink, cigarette hole in the curtains and the shower was crusty. Toilet paper was also very cheap. Rainfall shower never fully heated up to the right temperature. The bathroom amenities are really lacking - one bar of soap and an all-in-soap for hair and face. I’m all for minimising environmental impact but this feels cheap and not useful (so wasted) rather than useful, quality products. Conditioner would be appreciated. Despite connecting to the WiFi neither AirPlay or chromecast worked. Breakfast is okay but you can get much better fare for the same price / cheaper at the local trendy cafes. Not a lot of variety for vegans or gluten free folks. I’ve stayed in mama shelter hotels before (albeit a few years ago) but after this stay I think it will be the last time. The quality is no longer there and the standards feel more budget than boutique or playful - despite the price being on the higher end for hotels in Lille. You can get better for your money in Lille - I wish I had booked somewhere else for my trip.

Hôtel dont j’adore le concept, mais des soirées hebdomadaires ont lieu le samedi, avec des « boum boum » qui résonnent dans tout l’hotel jusqu’à 1h30 du mat. J’avais pourtant bien réservé une chambre d’hôtel (sans option boîte de nuit). Alors svp baissez le son :-)….

in a great location for acess and parking, cewntral to Lille shoppiong and restaraunt areas. Would stay here again.

Fantastic hotel with excellent breakfast. We had cocktails in the bar - superb and ate there one night. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay in a Mama hotel in other cities.

Lit double avec deux matelas, vraiment desagreable. Toujours un problème d'aleze (changement fait). sinon les équipes d'accueil, entretien et bar/restaurant sont toujours très agréables. Petit dej o top mais mal réalimenté certains jours (ca dépend du service).

La chambre est propre, sauf les alèses qui étaient très sales et présence de moisissures dans la douche. Les matelas du lit double sont séparés et inconfortables. Pas de pantoufles ds les chambres

Used the hotel for one night stay to attend Depeche Mode gig and short exploration of the city. Easy location for the Eurostar terminal. My room was clean, tidy and comfortable. The staff at reception were welcoming and helpful.

Worst night's sleep in a hotel ever ... but hotel is lovely, staff were fantastic, clean, well kept modern room and bathroom, great breakfast buffet, lots of parking under/in hotel and right in city centre. We were so happy after we checked-in and went out in the city ... BUT ... we stayed on Saturday night and they have events in the bar and on the terrace. The night we stayed they had a DJ from 22:00 till 02:00. We were on floor 2 right above the disco and the music came through the floor! We could hear the beats and the chatter and laughs of people on the terrace. Sounded great fun but we were very tired and wanted to go to sleep at 22:00 but had to painfully wait 4 hours for the party to finish. We actually considered going to our car with pillows to get away from the noise. We were in room 203 but rooms around it on floor 2 must been equally badly affected by the noise. I would say a nightmare ... but you need to be asleep to have a nightmare and we got little sleep that night. We were due to stay 2 nights but we're so tired that we'd had enough and decided to go home! We were offered alternative rooms but the damage had already been done. So potentially a wonderful hotel but completely irresponsible to put people in rooms above the disco on nights they have a disco. Ruined our stay in Lille sadly.

Great hotel super convenient for the main squares and cobbled streets of Lille. Dog friendly rooms and restaurant. I do miss coffee in my room is my only "complaint"

Établissement correct, cependant peu de services dans les chambres, pas de café ou thé, pas de fer à repasser c'est minimaliste, un lit et une télé. Le personnel est très sympathique et la déco est fun Le petit déjeuner est bien mais manque de saumon à 20€.

Nice place, beautiful location, very friendly people. It just was pretty noisy due to parties and dj's..... Don't know if we should/could have known that before, but that was a bit of a negative point.....

Can hear the music in the restaurant in the night from room in the 2nd floor.

Rooms were great. Staff in reception were friendly and welcoming. The staff in the restaurant and bar were not welcoming, with some exceptions - if you're a 20-something French person you'll get served quickly, if not, be prepared to sit for ages before someone will actually take your order. Also be prepared to catch their eye and for them to deliberately walk in other direction. As a, result, felt really uncomfortable sitting in the restaurant and in the terrace, so wouldn't recommend this.

Great hotel. Clean and staff are polite. We came from the UK and staff was happy to communicate with us in English. Will definitely stay here again.

La chambre était dans les standards Mama Shelter. Bémol pour le petit déjeuner où beaucoup de choses manquées (plus de fromage, d oeufs, de charcuterie) qui ont été ravitaillées après 30minutes. Le pompon a été quand on nous a demandé de libérer la table pour les clients du brunch. Un geste a été fait en offrant le parking mais il a fallu signaler le problème du petit déjeuner de nous même. Lors du checkout, on ne nous a même pas demandé si le séjour c était bien passé.

We had a noise issue on Saturday night, which the manager dealt with amazingly. I recommend asking to stay on a high floor on the park side to avoid the noise from their Saturday club night. The customer service at Mama Shelter is excellent. The rooms are warm and comfy. There is a mini fridge for your to store your own snacks and drinks. Eco friendly toiletries and high water pressure in the shower. The TV in the room has lots of free movies. The breakfast was pricey but there is lots of food so you can fill up to make up for the 20€. They had gluten free bread on the buffet. They will store your luggage if you have more sight seeing to do after check out. We recommended the HEIN restaurant in the nearby square.

Chambre très comfortable, calme, hotel bien localisé, proche des gares de Lille. J'ai dormi très bien, ma chambre était bien isolée du bruit des soirées (j'étais au quatrième étage). Le personnel est sympathique et il y a toujours quelqu'un à la reception. J'ai eu un séjour idéal ! J'y retournerais sans hésitation !

Un accueil original et cosy. Un concert au restaurant le soir et un petit déjeuner avec des produits locaux et maison. Facile d'accès depuis les 2 gares TGV de Lille. Seul bémol, trouver la porte d'entrée...

Hotel usine dont le concept vieillit un peu Bousculade au petit-déjeuner, buffet vite dégarni et service débordé Parking trop petit qui vous oblige à trouver une place dans le quartier (en tachant d'éviter la fourrière comme ça nous est arrivé) Prix devenus prohibitifs eu égard à la qualité de la prestation proposée Bref, j'y séjournais tous les ans à Noël et je n'y retournerai plus
