Purple Roomz Preston South is a budget, ex Premier Inn style stopover with friendly staff, comfy beds, convenient motorway access, generally clean rooms, and free parking, though the property feels dated and relies on the pub next door for meals.

Bed was comfortable but that’s about as good as it gets. The room looked tired and worn. There were marks on the sheets, a dirty towel on the floor upon entering the room and the floor was in dire need of a good vacuuming. For the price of £80+ I expect better. I would have said £40-£45 per night would be a more realistic price point.

Staff were lovely - nothing was too much trouble, rooms a little bit tired but good value for money. Would stay again.

This small hotel was well located not far from the M6 motorways with a supermarket and shops nearby. There was an excellent big pub only a couple of minutes from the hotel which served good food and had a comfortable large bar / restaurant with lots of seating outside. We had breakfast and dinner in the pub and a few drinks outside in the sunshine. We would stop there again if in the Preston area.
