Super clean, accessible parking right to your door, very cozy and overall great experience! Needed a place to stay for the night as we were coming from NJ to go skiing. Great distance from the mountain and super convenient. The owner was very accommodating and Jack the cat was the star of the show! Not to mention the price was exceptional! 10/10 experience and will definitely stay here again in the future if I’m ever in the area.

This is a classic roadside Catskills motel. It is in immaculate condition - clearly well cared for by a thoughtful owner. It's cozy with your neighbors, for sure, but that is motel life. The spotless pool is a super bonus on a hot summer day with chairs and toys also perfectly clean and new.

This is an old style family owned motel and for what it is, it is quite good. It is extremely clean and for the price it is definitely worth it. I would definitely stay here again if I had any reason to go back to that area.

Parking lot small. Even without a trailer. Older motel that has gone through several renovations. Mediocre work. Funky smell inside unit. Can’t say it was a kennel like smell, but it would be similar to that. Bed made up…sheets were loose. Odd dark remnants of something on white sheets. I had pluck them off in order to be comfortable. The one stay served it’s purpose but was a lousy one night experience. 30 mins away to NYST

Location was very easy to find. Gas station and a couple of restaurants very close. Two grocery stores within ten minutes. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and pleasant. Enjoyable stay. You will be hard pressed to find a better value in the area!

First off, There is Colonial Motel and Colonial House. I was in the house. Overall, a good stay. Quiet (down right peaceful) and clean. It is an older house but clean. The only draw back was the bed was too soft. Some people may like it, but to soft for me.

The staff was so kind - we were greeted in the lobby by the owner (I believe?) and he was so incredibly friendly. The room was lovely and well-decorated - I especially loved the bedspread. And the pool is great as well. Would definitely recommend and would love to visit again!

Super cute, we stayed in the main house. The old charm the house has made it even more cozy. Bed was very comfortable. Super friendly staff, and even a feline greeter who was happy to recieve pets. Would highly recommended and would stay again!

my experience was not a 5 star . my room face a trailer park. ao the window where the a/c was in order for you to have the air flow you needed to leave the curtains open as the curtains were long so the whole top of the window had no shade or blinds or anything. it was very creepy . as it was juat me and my daughter and than they had a flood light that shined over night. than at 8am we had the chain on but someone opened the door. i asked if they were housekeeping they didnt answer and we were in bed sleeping. no one was around upon check out. you leave the key. then the double lock doesnt work. i did not have a good experience there maybe the BNB side is better but the motel side not for me and when you book on line they dont tell you where you room is which i didnt like.they make it like its this beautiful place..

This is a gem of a place in the tiny village of Grand Gorge! It was easy to find and a very good value. I especially appreciated the great customer service we got. The owners could not have been friendlier or more helpful. They care about their property and the people staying there very much. Highly recommend if you are in the Catskills! I would also recommend Pizza Plus just down the block if you are looking for a good, filling lunch or dinner that doesn't cost a fortune.

A welcoming and authentic place to stay- and it's the nicest building in town, refreshing pool, comfortable room, and a ten minute drive in several directions to recreation and decent food.

There is a big house with some nice rooms and they also have more of a classic motel on the other side of the property. It's right in the center of town, but there isn't much to do in the town except pizza into small military surplus store. The hosts were very nice at this place and I would stay again.

We stayed at the Colonial Motel on a weekend ski trip to Windham from the city. This location was convenient (only 20 min from the resort), spacious, and quiet. After a cold day of skiing, the best part was that we found the shower head to be brand new, and there was plenty of hot and high pressured water for an incredible and relaxing shower. Also, there are a couple food options around the motel - we at Tastees up the road and it was so good! We will be staying here again whenever we come up for a weekend trip.

There was no ice machine convenient to the patrons .. we had to ask the clerk for ice .. there was no type of continental breakfast.. no coffee or juice..muffins or bagels.. there was a coffee maker in the room .. the pool was excellent

Very pleasant stay. I am sorry that we had only one day / night. Interesting history near by to explore. Limited dining options in walking distance but convenient driving choices. I can enthusiastically recommend staying here. Thank you for being such good hosts.

There is a big house with some nice rooms and they also have more of a classic motel on the other side of the property. It's right in the center of town, but there isn't much to do in the town except pizza into small military surplus store. The hosts were very nice at this place and I would stay again.

I stayed here for a night while exploring nearby reservoirs, lakes, and hiking trails. The room was clean and comfortable, easy parking, and I especially enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning sunlight drinking my coffee. Helpful, friendly staff. Several food options in Grand Gorge itself, or in nearby towns within a ten minute drive. In-room microwave and fridge make dining more flexible.

Location was very easy to find. Gas station and a couple of restaurants very close. Two grocery stores within ten minutes. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and pleasant. Enjoyable stay. You will be hard pressed to find a better value in the area!

Checkin was simple, I received my keycards and proceeded to my room. The property not only is in good condition, yet was festively decorated for the harvest season. This did not strike me as a “regular motel,” but felt like it was someone’s home. Parking was ample, maybe a little tight for big cars and trucks. My motel room was clean and cozy, decor-wise straddled modern and vintage. The bathroom was a little cramped, though I am 6’2” and everything was updated and clean. The coffee machine in the room was Keurig-based, not sure if that’s standard, yet it helped to make no-fuss coffee. The pool looked in great form, though may as well have been closed for the season. (PS, I met Jake the Cat!) Per location, there was supposedly pizza nearby, yet was closed during my weekday visit. A convenience store was cattycorner to it, and had ample stock.

What a hidden gem! We arrived at the Colonial Motel and upon first sight it was very cute, and looked well maintained. The staff was incredibly helpful answering our questions about the area and in helping us find a restaurant. The pool was great for a relaxing swim. We appreciated extended pool hours were available. The motel cat was very friendly and my son had to visit him several times. The room was clean with recent updates but also kept vintage charm. I would gladly stay there again. 10/10
