We thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and location of the Vespera. Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of work being done with the spa and the pool that we were not able to enjoy these amenities. As a Mariott Bonvoy member, I ask you consider a credit toward our account especially for the days our activities were limited due to maintenance work.

This is our fourth stay and love it every time! The outside fire pits and dining area are wonderful and inviting. The room is always clean and beds are so comfortable! Very dog friendly which is a plus. Only thing I wish was different would be the cost of parking. 45.00 a night seems high and there is no other option as very limited street parking.

While this property is beautiful and the rooms are nice, they allow non-registered hotel guests to use amenities for free. We were unable to get a table by a fire pit during our entire stay. People who live blocks away fill the tables all day long. For the price they charge, you would think registered guests would be a higher priority. The price for valet parking is outrageous too.

Pros: convenient, quiet, and beautiful rooms. Cons: menus online are misleading- coffee cart is only offered during the summer. No 24/7 room service. No late midnight snack. The bar was the only place to order breakfast and coffee. Extremely understaffed- she was literally running around everywhere. At this point I’d rather stay at a Holiday Inn or La Quinta for free coffee. Water refill stations are only on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Ice machine was broken. Not sure what this “resort fee” was for…

Beautiful place in a great location with a lot of amenities. The main issue here is the guests have to pay a resort fee per day to use the amenities but ANYONE not staying at the hotel can also use the amenities. My family wanted to site by a fire and could not because people not staying there occupied them all. My kids wanted to get in the spa, nope, no room because again non-guests were occupying it to the max! We wanted to order some food and drinks and waited an extremely long time because they were serving you guessed it - non-guests. Also, they ran out of towels at the pool and non-guests just requested towels from waitress who brought them. We knew they were not guests at the hotel because they were not shy about sharing it out loud. There is absolutely no control over that and guests paying to actually stay there are stuck paying for everyone else to use the amenities. You do not need a key to enter the pool or patio/yard area.

My family and I love how convenient the hotel location is to the beach and the shops! The beds were comfortable. The pool was fun for the kids (wish it the water was warmer). We had some leftover garbage in our room from the previous guests and blood on the bathroom counter. Gross. I also wish the menu at the restaurant was more kid friendly. All in all we had a fun trip and enjoyed our stay!!

Kudos to housekeeping for keeping the hotel absolutely spotless. As anyone who has lived by the beach knows, it is very, very hard to keep sand and the sea air from dirtying and degrading things but somehow staff here has managed to keep the hotel pristine. We love that the hotel is dog friendly. All staff were very welcoming and helpful, from the valets who helped us park to the front desk staff who accommodated our request to move rooms. My only suggestion would be for the hotel to be more specific in its room descriptions online. “Oceanfront” to me means oceanfront. Not pool front. Not fire pit front. I would have booked the boardwalk front room (the only real ocean front rooms) had it been offered online. The photos online of the rooms make it hard to tell what your view will actually be of. The food we ordered from the restaurant downstairs was very tasty (cauliflower steak, Caesar salad, and bread pudding) and we would highly recommend ordering from there. All in all, a beautiful, well-run hotel, we can’t wait to come back.

Hotel is nice but no nice restaurants outside the hotel or nearby areas. We ate mostly at the hotel’s only restaurant. We drove out 20 minutes to find a restaurant. Public is allowed to come into part of the hotel facility and it’s quite busy around the hotel - outside not clean. Surprisingly not much area to walk my dog for her to do her business unlike other hotel properties around residential areas. This hotel is surrounded by retail stores. I got a room with oceanview and I couldn’t really enjoy sitting in patio because people were walking around, cars driving around right outside the patio.

Room View was awesome; bathroom was sub par in that the mirror was rusty and the faucets were so hard to turn on (in both rooms), towels were dingy, room 229 door would lock when we shut it (had to slam it 3-4x before it would catch & lock), room 336 has wine frog which doesn’t get cold enough to store milk products…was useless for families w babies, though room 229 had gorgeous views, the noise level when events are happening down on patio is beyond ridiculous! I would NEVER request a room on that level again! Also front desk should mention that event is taking place before they place you in room and that it will be loud! Guests were drunk, loud and obnoxious. it made a relaxing get away a bit stressful. I was told a 10p quiet time but 1045p rolled around and they were still yelling and being loud. It was truly disappointing!!

Had beautiful views. Rooms were clean and fresh. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Easy access to the beach. Had firepits outside for guests to use. They came in handy on a chilly night. Would highly recommend.

The refrigerator wasn't cold and had a two hour timer. Unfortunately our food spoiled and one/two members in our party felt ill and eating food. Usually the refrigerators are very cold and can keep food and drinks cold once load it. This was not the case.

The staff outside taking food and drink orders did not help us and we tried to order food for an hour - they would not make eye contact or respond when we asked twice for kids menus - it was from 2 to 3 in the afternoon and we finally had to leave to go get the family lunch elsewhere. Everything else about the hotel was excellent and the waitresses in the evening were very attentive both nights.

Clean, comfortable room with a balcony and view of the ocean and pier. Great location. Restaurant and pool bar staff were slow and inattentive. Quality of food was marginal. Resort fees and parking fees seemed excessive. This was my first stay and now that I have a better understanding, I would definitely stay again because once again, the room was great and the location cannot be beat but would find alternative food venues.

We had an amazing stay. Ocean front room that was perfect for our pup. The room was super clean and beautiful as always. Staff is amazing and top notch. We ordered room service for breakfast and when it was delivered she said because it took so long it was on the house. While at the beach we are never on a schedule so we didn’t feel we waited long but I thought how sweet of them to do that. Especially considering it was my hubbys birthday it made it that much more special! Can’t wait to return!!

Vespera is the Best of Everything! It is next to the Pier and Oceanfront! The Service is Extraordinary. Danielle, at the Front Desk, makes sure that all guests experience the Best Check In Ever. She is Friendly and Professional. Vespera also provides a Shuttle which is wonderful. Thomas, Kip, and Christian are "5 Star" Valets. They made my Vespera experience wonderful! Be sure to gaze at the Stars at night! All together, my stay was Unforgettable! Vespera IS the Shining Star of the Central Coast!

We stayed here already for the 4th time. And we really like the hotel, it’s the best you can find in the pismo area, but this time we were quite disappointed about pricing of the room. We got the very last room “ocean view” facing the Pismo Pier and the whole parking lot on the other side. At the morning at 6.30/7am we were woken up by the noises of all the trash trucks collection the trash right under our balcony! I guess bad luck this time, but I would have rather stayed in one of the rooms facing to the back and saved 300 dollars instead spending 640 dollar for that room.

We had dinner at Pequin. We were disappointed in the quality of the food. The fingerling potatoes were flavorless, the black cod crudo was very fishy, the wings were almost too spicy to eat, the pozole was warm (not hot) and the service was lackluster. We asked for drink refills twice, along with some lemon wedges to squeeze on the crudo. It forever, along with two requests to get either item. We had high hopes for the dinner, but unfortunately we were sadly let down. The resort is nice and the amenities were okay. You have corn hole, but no bean bags, you have games but with none of the required pieces to play the games. Great location and clean facilities is really the only strong point.....

Perfectly situated on the beach, easy to walk the boardwalk to pier or downtown for shopping. Staff was extremely friendly and also all very attractive. Just beautiful people everywhere. I personally would have enjoyed lively music at the pool during the day, as it was extremely quiet. Drinks and food from the hotels restaurant “Pequin” was excellent. Loved the tacos poolside or fireside! Shoutout to Daniel and Drew:)

Beautiful hotel! Great location. Great views. Very pet friendly. Comfortable furniture. The only drawback was the restaurant. It was beautiful and very pet friendly, but the menu was weird and mediocre at best. In an area with fabulous restaurants, this was very disappointing. The to go menu was better than the one for sit down dining. If the restaurant was better, this place would be my favorite on the central coast.
