The major problem with this hotel is the lack of parking. It is located in a very busy/crowded neighborhood where parking is almost never available! We drove around for close to two hours to find a parking and even the valet was filled!! When we finally found parking, it was more than twenty minutes walking back to the hotel. We had to cut our stay at that hotel! When communicating with those working at the front desk they were not very helpful with suggestions on where to park. Although we lost money, our sanity is more important.

Property was unfinished. Bar not open but advertised. No food. Across the street from a huge factory that gets very loud at night. Heating was poor. In an incredibly rough area. This is not Long Island city and very unsafe at night.

Parking next to hotel was $50 for my compact car. They told me it would be less. Hotel is nice but the neighborhood is industrial with the projects around the corner. My toile would not flush.

Upon arriving, the young lady greeted me with a smile and I was checked in quickly. The interior was exceptionally clean from the top to the bottom. My room was sound proof,the bed was awesome, and I melted into the comfort it offered. I didn't eat breakfast, because I had an early flight,. Overall, it exceeded my expectations. I will be returning as often as I can when I'm working in the area. I highly recommend it.. Kudos, for a job well done. Guest of Room 407- Peace

On the outside doesn't look like much but inside is quite nice. Room was really clean with the exception of the window area and the cup covers at the coffee market had hairs all between them. You can tell the cleaning process is not focused on bigger areas in the room. Stay was kind check in was smooth. Only issue concerning staff I had which truly is tiny was waiting for an ice bucket to be brought to me to around 30mins with 2 trips to the front desk. Why didn't I just call? Well because the phone in the room did not work lol. Overall a decent stay I would book again.

Room was good. Enjoyed my stay. Seemed to be a lot of hair on the floor that did not get vacuumed. Dropped my towel, and it had several long hairs (not mine) on it when I picked it up.

Unfortunately, this was a terrible experience and because the hotel was sold out, we were stuck in the room we got stuck with. 1) Missing hardware on the walls (1 missing in bathroom, one missing on the bedside lamp) 2) The shower had a lot hair on the wall.... 3) No TV remote 4) A large square cut out in the ceiling OVER THE BED, to which a green bright light shining in our faces. 5) I think because of we were on the top floor and under that cut-out, we also heard whirring over our heads, which then became a high-pitch, and I'm talking dog whistle, anyone over 60 years old can't hear it, but we sure can't drown it out, type of noise. At that point, I ask for the room to be switched. Can't, sold out. Fine, I ask for a TV remote for our TV, which they had to send someone back to our room 10 minutes later with the remote, but it did not drown the noise out. 5) We had an adjoining room to another family who we could hear every word being spoken starting at 7am. We slept as much as we could from about 3am-8am and left immediately.

This hotel is in a very unsafe area and everything around it is dirty. The “clean” towels in our hotel were dirty with stains and everything was super inconvenient. Had to constantly ask for new towels and toilet paper. The trash fills up and no one takes it out. Worst hotel ever

The staff was super friendly for the most part. However, the AC did not work in the rooms. Very uncomfortable. We changed rooms onto a different floor and that AC was out. Spoke with guests in the elevators and their AC was also out.

The room was incredibly noisy, with a high-pitched, whining, coming from industrial machinery outside and a low pitch drone coming from within the room. Additionally, we could hear lots of noises from other surrounding rooms, including room service knocking on doors at 6 AM. What I believe to be the smoke alarm had a printing light on it that we needed to cover up in order to get some sleep. The body wash in the shower was was empty. A black coffee at the café in the lobby was over $6. They did not have their own valet service, and so we needed to use a somewhat confusing system at the hotel next door that they had an agreement with. The neighborhood is all taxi depots and factories with smokestacks.

I liked that the hotel is new. It's in good condition. The rooms are clean, but very small. It works for 2 people, but not more than 2. The bathroom and shower lack storage. There is no where to put shower accessories. The neighborhood is developing.

The individuals in the room right next to mine were having a party in their room and you could hear anything. Also because of the location, the factory across the street was blaring some loud noises at around 5-6am.

In the middle of my stay I asked for housekeeping three times to no avail before their 11 am requested cutoff time. I left the hotel room for a couple of hours and returned and nothing. Call to let them know that I would be showering and that I would need some time and they assured me they would come back and nothing. I went to the vending machine downstairs and even though that has nothing to do with the hotel per se, the clerk that works the night shift is rude. He's also one of the guys that I spoke with about getting my room clean and still did nothing. I will never stay here again I will also never recommend this place.

Staff seems very clueless on how to run a hotel. Not sure why we had to request our room be cleaned if they weren’t going to clean it anyway. I asked the man at the front desk to speak to the manager and he said he doesn’t know when the manager will be available. When the cleaning staff did show up they woke us up at 9 am and said they cannot come back at a later time. Very unprofessionally run establishment. The closest subway is a 10 min walk outside of the projects. Be careful.

The hotel management was very dishonest about the room fees and charged an extra $300 on top of the agreed upon price when the hotel was booked. The management was also very unprofessional and told our group that they would not speak with us because they do not have the energy to speak to us.

Housekeeper walked into our room without knocking at DoubleTree by Hilton Long Island City, saw my partner naked, and lingered staring. Unforgivable. Front desk apologized, but 24+ hours later there’s no management response or corrective action. We’re done. I’m beyond incensed—will be reaching out to Hilton directly.

A quick 3 night trip and tour of NYC. The front desk helped us with check in, extra towels, pillows and bath needs. Very friendly people. Did not expect the bananas and pastries and coffee for breakfast. That helped us save some money and hit the spot each day. The bed was very comfortable. We got good sleep each night. Front desk staff was very helpful with taxis and other information. We plan to come back.

The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. I wouldn't stay there because of the area. It was inconvenient to go into manhattan. We took metro a couple times during the day and felt unsafe. You should definitely not walk at night.

The hotel was what it needed to be, a place to crash for the night. It was cheaper than other hotels in the city, and only a short walk and train ride to Manhattan. The area around the hotel was very depressed. Lots of loitering “locals” that made us not want to go out after sunset. Dirty streets, suspicious people, lots of project housing and bodegas; not a lot of tourist appeal. The hotel itself was okay. We checked in after 4PM and were told that there were no rooms available that matched our booking reservation. We had booked 2 queen rooms for one night. They offered to “upgrade” us to two double rooms, but we didn’t want two smaller beds instead of one queen. Eventually they put us in the two queen rooms we had originally reserved. The hotel was clearly a new build or renovation; the rooms were modern and clean. Some unfinished areas around the lobby, but overall not a big deal. We liked the tables and chairs that were set up. It gave us a place to eat our Uber Eats (we didn’t want to risk walking around at night to find dinner).

Hotel is in an awful neighborhood. Limited food and shops. Have to walk through sketchy neighbors to get to the subway. Hotel itself was undesirable. Thin walls so you can hear everything. Especially the neighbors with the shared door to conjoin rooms. Constant car alarms and horns going off. Bathroom door is one of those sliding kind with a fogged glass window. You can hear, see and smell everything. One elevator was always no in use making it take forever to get up and down from your room. If you still choose to book here make sure your room is not near the elevators. They beep all night long. People also have zero self awareness while they wait for elevators and do not stay remotely quiet no matter the hour.

This is an average place to stay when visiting NYC. They don't have any housekeeping or breakfast (only coffee from 7-9am). The staff was very bare bones, but a man at the front desk who seemed to be the manager was very nice and professional. It is overall just a clean & safe place to sleep, but overpriced considering there is not much to do around the area and is near a lot of construction and underdeveloped neighborhoods.

The room I was given was fantastic, however the coffee maker wasn’t working. There was not enough breakfast snacks for all guests. The front desk staff could’ve been a little more friendly/customer service oriented. The location of the property was a bit further from the nearest subway stop than I expected. The nearby power plant obstructed most of my view. The price was great.

The hotel is not worth the money they charge. We had been complaining about the aircon in our room since day one as it wasn’t working and the room was like sauna. Nothing had been done and in the end they changed the room but still the same. Services are really poor but the staff was helpful. The breakfast is not actually a breakfast it was just few pastries banana and orange including tea coffee and juice I won’t recommend it though specially if you are with a family

The hotel is comfortable and well located, just a 10-minute walk from the subway. The breakfast is simple, with coffee, croissants, coffee creamer, tea, a filled sweet bread, bananas, and oranges, but it is not replenished quickly and runs out fast. You have to ask a staff member if you want more, which can be inconvenient. However, the biggest issue is the noise. The walls are extremely thin, making it easy to hear everything from neighboring rooms. During the night, I constantly heard doors slamming, loud conversations, and, in my case, a baby crying non-stop while the parents talked loudly all night. Additionally, there is a factory in front of the hotel that creates a constant machine-like noise. While this sound is less disruptive, it is still noticeable. If you need a quiet place to sleep, this hotel may not be the best choice, as the poor sound insulation significantly affects sleep quality.

The room did not have a refrigerator or microwave. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom when we arrived to the room. We Had to wait over an hour and staff had to be ask twice just to get toilet paper and more wash cloths. For $300 a night guest should at least receive complimentary coffee in the morning. Although the cookies are complimentary the staff were very stingy with cookies.
