Perhaps due to the pending hurricane every room South of Gastonia NC to north of Charlotte was sold out. This place has tgree rooms and we are thankful. The checkin staff was great. The elevator was broken so we had to carry luggage three flights of stairs and we are 70 years old. Many things were broken, ice machine, pool. Carpets were very worn and dingy. Room was clean, beds were soft but really looked worn. Grateful for room but would never stay there under normal circumstances.

It was not mentioned before arrival that the hotel was undergoing construction. I was charged a service fee upon checkin that was not mentioned. The rooms were not cleaned, the floors were so dirty you could see dirt and debris on them, the bathroom was not clean, there was hair in the shower, looked like soap dried to the tub, could see the dirt on the walls in the shower. The water either took 15 minutes to heat up, was scalding hot or iced cold, or didn’t get hot at all. At one point they turned the water off without any warning, to work on something. Looked like the room had started to be updated with partial fresh paint but not completed. Sheer curtains with lights from outside shining in, but could close the thicker curtains to block the light. Flooring in elevator was coming up and looked like it had been attempted to be taped down. Had to use the outlet behind my bed to charge my electronics and saw drywall dust or something on the floors. The bedding had stains on them and was questionable if they were cleaned. Construction stuff every where. When we got breakfast the bagels were hard as a rock, the orange juice came out thick like a smoothie… ended up not trying anything else there. Did not look like the photos in the description.

I stayed here just overnight while visiting and the hotel was very clean, friendly staff, and plenty of parking. The only problem I saw were some stains on the curtains and walls in the room but everything else was great. The included breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable and those were the most important things for me!

Grossest dirtiest hotel I’ve ever been too, skid mark stains in toilet, shower was leaking constant stream, green / brown tub, stains all over the chair, carpet was horrific. Musty mildew smell, was hot. Never will be back again.

One of the most disgusting hotel experiences I've had in quite some time. Literal pile of garbage in the room upon check in. Sticky substances and dirt scattered about. A bar of soap propping up a corner of the refrigerator. A discarded pacifier hanging from a lamp. Pubic hair stuck to things. Gross. Luckily staff gave me a new room when I showed them pics. The new room had an odd smell but I was too tired to complain further. Would not recommend

The property is conveniently located off of I77, and is an attractive property. Check in was easy, and the young lady at the desk was friendly. Our room with the king bed was large, however the bathroom could use an upgrade, and the sink basin was cracked in several places, and should be replaced. Unfortunately, the fridge did not work. Having stated the negatives, we did have the most amazing sleep! The bed was comfortable, with several pillows, and it literally was like sleeping on a cloud. Perfect after a long day of travel. The breakfast the next morning was average, with very good hot coffee, eggs, sausage, potatoes and waffles. Apples were the only fruit provided, but you could definitely get a decent meal to start the day!

Booked for 3 nights on the third morning got up early take a shower at the shower run for over 5 minutes no hot water. No fun and taking a cold shower before meeting. Left that morning only stayed two nights.

Took my daughters to a concert and the location is very convenient to the PNC pavilion. Check in was simple. Staff was friendly. The linens were satisfactory and clean. We didn’t stay for breakfast but it was in a clean area and looked ample. Coffee was decent and served all day. The hotel itself on the other hand is in terrible shape.They still had smoking rooms so the hallways smelled. Half of the floor we stayed on was under construction so instead of stale smoke smell is was noxious fumes and dust. Not just like paint fumes either…but like refinishing tile or something you shouldn’t be breathing in. They really should have done construction a whole floor at a time. The room itself was rundown, filled with neglected and shoddy repairs. Most concerningly was mold in the sink and in the shower. I mean how terrible of a job does the cleaning staff do that mold is even present at all? Luckily we got in late and left early so all we did is sleep. My only advice would be the new owner should reduces rates 20% until construction is complete, step up the cleaning crews and get rid of smoking rooms. Most importantly I would inform people of the current condition. On the plus side it wasn’t ghetto, nice convenient location. It definitely has potential but for literally a couple dollars more I’d recommend booking elsewhere until this hotel is finished. When renovations are complete I would give them a second chance. 3 star may be generous currently but could improve very easily.

Stay was OK but lots of broken stuff in the room. 2 lamps not working, the doors on the closet broken and off the tracks, a dresser drawer, plus the room was a little musty smelling. Ac / heat unit was very loud . I would spend a little more next trip but hey, it was OK for the money.

I payed ahead on Expedia and when I got to the hotel at check in the girl informed me Expedia charges an EXTRA $30 fee for prepaying and insisted I owed even more money even though I’d already paid for everything beforehand. This obviously didn’t make any sense but she forced me to pay it before letting me check in and made a big deal about it. Then couldn’t give me any reason why this is done or give me an itemized receipt or any receipt at all. Tried to get me to sign a paper agreeing to the rate that didn’t even have the rate listed on it and I had to force her to tell me the full total for the stay. Super sketchy. Do not recommend

I was given a room. When they saw I had a service dog they insisted on moving me to pet room. The staff was told that a service dog is not a pet, it is an adjunct of the person who requires it. My daughter has dog allergies and we were put in a pet room.

I tried to check out before 6am to get an early start on the rest of my trip and no one was at the desk from 4-6:30. Then I noticed other guest coming down for breakfast and finally I saw someone preparing the food bar at least.

We stayed here while displaced due to Helene. The staff was wonderful and accommodating with stay extension as well as allowing us to reverse the last extension once we could go back to our house. The kept us at the original price we got before all the hotels in the area started selling out. Clean rooms, basic but good breakfast, and bless them for allowing us to bring pets.

The property is conveniently located off of I77, and is an attractive property. Check in was easy, and the young lady at the desk was friendly. Our room with the king bed was large, however the bathroom could use an upgrade, and the sink basin was cracked in several places, and should be replaced. Unfortunately, the fridge did not work. Having stated the negatives, we did have the most amazing sleep! The bed was comfortable, with several pillows, and it literally was like sleeping on a cloud. Perfect after a long day of travel. The breakfast the next morning was average, with very good hot coffee, eggs, sausage, potatoes and waffles. Apples were the only fruit provided, but you could definitely get a decent meal to start the day!

I was hesitant to book based on other people’s reviews but was happy I decided to. Our nightly stay was very affordable compared to other places in my search. The bathroom was a bit dated but very clean. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. An added plus was the hotel was dog friendly. Breakfast was a basic hotel breakfast. We did read that Lake Norman was a 15 minute walk. This is true…but not to the state park trail areas (actually a 30 minute drive). I should have checked directions beforehand. Just a heads up to anyone planning to visit the trails.

It was not mentioned before arrival that the hotel was undergoing construction. I was charged a service fee upon checkin that was not mentioned. The rooms were not cleaned, the floors were so dirty you could see dirt and debris on them, the bathroom was not clean, there was hair in the shower, looked like soap dried to the tub, could see the dirt on the walls in the shower. The water either took 15 minutes to heat up, was scalding hot or iced cold, or didn’t get hot at all. At one point they turned the water off without any warning, to work on something. Looked like the room had started to be updated with partial fresh paint but not completed. Sheer curtains with lights from outside shining in, but could close the thicker curtains to block the light. Flooring in elevator was coming up and looked like it had been attempted to be taped down. Had to use the outlet behind my bed to charge my electronics and saw drywall dust or something on the floors. The bedding had stains on them and was questionable if they were cleaned. Construction stuff every where. When we got breakfast the bagels were hard as a rock, the orange juice came out thick like a smoothie… ended up not trying anything else there. Did not look like the photos in the description.

The check in was easy, & the desk clerk was friendly and considerate. I accidentally booked smoking instead of non-smoking, and she changed it with no issue. The room wasn't very clean. There was some substance on the light above the sink, an empty water bottle under the corner of the mattress, an empty dorito bag in the drawer. The bathroom had no towel rack, the toilet paper dispenser was falling off the wall, & the freezer had so much icing over, it was difficult to put anything in it. On the plus side, the buffet breakfast was good. Waffles, sausage, eggs, potatoes, cereal, bagels, toast, apples, coffee, milk, orange juice, & other drinks.

Rates very reasonable, beds very comfortable. BIG PLUS-Bathroom vanity sink is separate from tub and toilet! This allows dual usage, very important for us senior ladies. BIG LETDOWN- NO COFFEE machine was broken-no alteranative- not even hot water!
