The rooms in this property are *really* small - bare that in mind when booking the property because if you want to spend anytime inside it is cramped. We had a double room and I had to climb over my wife to get in and out of the bed as it was set into the wall. Still it is conveniently located for the Luas (red line) and some of the pubs and restaurants in StoneyBlatter and Smithfields. Staff were practically invisible as you get sent a QR code to check in and receive your key. Bar area quite nice but breakfast over priced. I guess that's Dublin!

The rooms are very, very small, perhaps 7' x 15'. Apparently all the hotel rooms in this hotel are that same size. We were able to walk to almost everything. Parking was offsight but not an inconvenience. The bar area was welcoming as was the staff.

The Hendrick was an excellent place to stay. It was clean, well located and had an excellent bar with events on on the bottom floor. We paid for offsite parking however the hotel provided discounted rates for us. Good servicing and very comfortable rooms. We could walk anywhere we needed to in Dublin from here.

I liked how clean the building was. The lobby was setup with a nice breakfast buffet every morning and had lots of open space to relax while preparing to go out on our daily journeys. The rooms was relatively small as expected but that didn't cause any issues as I was not sharing it with anyone and did not spend much time in there except when sleeping.

Great location from Heuston station. Great room and walking distance to shops, cinemas, pubs and restaurants. Free wifi. The hotel has a great lounge for drinks and snacks. Highly recommend!

Easy self check-in. The location is quiet and convenient, while not neccessarily the most eye pleaskng. Plenty of restaurants and pubs close by. We walked everywhere during our stay. Also, the bus stop that goes to the airport is a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

Undoubtedly, the 5 stars go to the staff for exceeding my expectations. Very friendly and helpful and they just make the place wonderful. The rooms are small. The rooms are quiet and clean. The showers are perfect. You do need to pay extra for the buffet style breakfast but it was very good and restocked when it needed it. If you are looking for a place to stay that is fancy and has room service and snooty staff, this is not the place for you. There is a cocktail bar and barista coffees available. We loved the live music. One of the staff sang, too. Perhaps a down side is that you need to walk a bit to get to the heart of Dublin but the tram is just up the road.

We had a great stay. The rooms and lobby are clean and smell nice. Vibrant community of visitors in the lobby bar and courtyard at breakfast and in the evenings for cocktails. Continental breakfast is served daily, entirely on the Honor’s System. The hallway smells musty and shows its age. The bedroom ceiling had black spots (mildew?) and the room was small but it did the job. The street it’s on looks a little dodgy, but we felt very safe and it was EXCEPTIONALLY quiet at night. Would stay here again if I ever return to Dublin.

The rooms were TINY! Nowhere to store anything. Bed could only be accessed from one side. There was black mold in multiple locations in the shower. We would definitely NOT return to this Hotel, although it’s actually in a convenient location.

They have self check in. They didn't work when we arrived in late. There was no one at the front desk. He was working at the bar when he finally did come over he could not log onto his system. Check process, took longer than 30 minutes and there was no one else around. He never was able to login. We finally got the self check into work and checked ourselves in the rooms are extremely small and there was black mold in our shower, probably won't stay there again

Excellent hotel with cleanliness and service beyond reproach. The rooms are small so be prepared for that however if you’re going to be exploring the city and not spending time in the room then it’s not an issue. The reception, bar and cleaning staff were all great!!

Our bathroom sink looked like it wasn’t clean. Staff were great gentleman working the bar in the evening was fabulous. Just little things overlooked like the ladies washroom on the main floor had to hand soap . But a great location for walking distances for most things.

Appeared to have mold/mildew on the ceiling. Price was ok but not sure i have ever stayed in a smaller room. Breakfast very mediocre. Go to Tesco. Nice and close to Jamesom tour.

I have stayed in small European rooms before but this room was SMALL. By the time 2 poople and the luggage is opened there is no room to move. Only plus was that this location is2 blocks from the river

Make sure you read the description carefully! Our room was barely big enough for 2 people to walk in, let alone bring luggage in also. The walls are incredibly scuffed and dirty looking, as were our pullow cases. If you have time to unwind and watch a little tv, just a heads up that you have to have some sort of streaming app on your phone to connect to the tv. Also, when unloading our luggage to check-in, we were told to move our care from the loading zone or we'd be towed

The rooms are just too small! Plus there are no dressers or wardrobes so you can't unpack (we had 4 nights LITERALLY living out of suitcases which was made even harder by the lack of any surface to open them on! Not even one of those fold-up metal leg things.)

Rooms were very small (dorm room size) so not ideal for more than 1 person per room. No place to put suitcase and not enough spots to unpack clothes. It is ideal for a 1 night stay but not for multiple. You hear everything in the halls, people walking by talking loudly and people in the neighboring rooms (dropping things, talking, TVs). Close to Jameson Distillery and some restaurants but that’s pretty much it. If you can, splurge on a better hotel located around more things in the city.

The front reception staff was exceptional! Very helpful, kind and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I accidently left my water bottle at the front, she remembered my room number and returned it! Beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed here with my wife for our honeymoon last week. The artwork in the building is stunning, the breakfast was great and the live bands playing every night were always entertaining. The biggest stand out tho was the amazing friendly staff. I mainly wanted to give a shout out to Tobias, older Patrick and younger Patrick, I always looked forward to having a conversation with these 3 and all of them were always the nicest and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in dublin

Very nice stay at The Hendrick Smithfield and exceeded our expectations. Staff were very friendly throughout the stay and the lobby and rooms were comfortable and clean and inviting. I was concerned that the room would be small and feel cramped as the bed is up against the wall, but the room far exceeded expectation. An efficient use of space that did not feel small or cramped at all. Clean amenities and a comfortable bed meant a great nights sleep. Thank you! We would stay again and recommend your hotel to others.

Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, was able to get an early check in after a long international flight for one of our rooms, then they actively sought us out when our next room became available shortly thereafter. Getting breakfast, a few hours rest and a hot shower made all the difference! Property was very clean and quiet. Would definitely recommend! Thank you do much for a wonderful stay.

The Hendrick Smithfield is a really funky and fun hotel just outside of Dublin Centre. We loved the staff: they were incredibly friendly and helpful and really made our time there enjoyable. The lobby bar is really fun and social. Things to be aware of before booking: the hotel is in the Smithfield area and it is a good 20 minute walk to Temple bar, Guinness, and most of the other popular attractions. That being said, the Smithfield area itself is really cool and artsy and much less jam packed with tourists. Bonus: only a quick five minute walk to Jameson’s! I really loved the area, but we didn’t always really enjoy the long walks into the centre of Dublin. Another thing to note: we had a twin room and it was TINY. The smallest room by far that I’ve ever stayed in, and consequently, it wasn’t overly pleasant at times, but he bed was incredibly comfortable. The facilities in the room were also quite bleak: it felt very much like a dorm room. None of that would have phased me too much, but it was also, by far, the most expensive hotel room we stayed in in Ireland, and that part isn’t sitting right with me still: for me, the value was not there. Overall however, as long as you know exactly what you’re getting yourself into there are many great things about this place and it’s definitely worth a try if you want something off the beaten path.

A nice modern hotel. The room was average but sufficient. The lobby was busy most of the time and they served a great cheese board. The main downside to this hotel is its location. The building opposite looked derelict and I felt a little bit uncomfortable walking to the main areas of Dublin.

Clean, tidy had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable and the shower was grand. The local was fab, 15/20 walk temple bar but why would you need to go that far, 5min walk to the Jameson distillery, beautiful open space plaza with shops, cafes, restaurants and more with a viewing platform and pubs. Smithfield is a truly amazing area of Dublin.

The staff at this property are genuinely wonderful. Everyone you meet is friendly and happy to chat and assist with whatever you may need. The bar and restaurant downstairs is fairly priced and has excellent service. The rooms are small, but they’re perfect for a single person or couple who plan to be out and about most of the day anyway. At first glance, the location is “rougher”, but you’re literally one street over on both sides from awesome shops and the luas/tram. Extremely walkable area, we actually only used public transit twice during our entire week stay. We would absolutely stay here in the future.

Had an excellent stay over new year. Staff were amazing! Could not ask for better. Felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. We added breakfast to our booking which was a continental. Not sure if it’s possible but would’ve been lovely to add the option of a cooked breakfast. Was located right next to a wee Christmas village, and a lovely walk along the river and over the bridge to temple bar etc. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. Thanks.
