Location of the accomodation was good, near to metro and train station and food choices. Room was adequate with sink, kettle etc. Check in was simple, using numeric code, and there was no reception counter. However the check in timing was very strict at 4pm. In addition, there was not enough lockers to be used in the event you need to use one to temporarily store your luggages.

Das Hotel ist top gelegen. Man kann alles zu Fuß erreichen. Der Check in und out verliefen ohne Probleme. Man konnte bereits online einchecken und hat dann über einen PIN Zugang zum Hotel bekommen. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig ( Bad war im Vergleich sehr klein). Parken konnte man in einem Parkhaus (ca. 5-10 Gehminuten entfernt). Durch ein Rabatt über das Hotel hat man nur 8 Euro für 24 h bezahlt.

No staff at the hotel. It was difficult to find due to being on side road. Parking was difficult. I went to a main hotel on main road to get better directions. The garage was 24hrs with an attendant and about a 10 min walk. Hotel did have small elevator. Room was small (studio) but had a balcony which was great. Good view and we ate most dinners in the balcony. Perfect for watching sunset.

The elevator does not work. I had to walk three flights of stars with luggage. I am 74 years old and it was very difficult!!! The steps are very steep and dangerous. This is the second time I stayed here and the elevator did not work the first time either. The room was good. But I will not stay again.

Cons: - The facility's sound system was not great, the floors creaked and the walls are thin so we could hear the units around us. - There was only one elevator that fits one person with a suitcase, so there could be a long wait time to use the elevators. - There's no receptionist but there's a live chat that works during certain hours. I left them a message during off hours but they didn't reply at all. - The toiletries supply was limited - they gave 2 small bottles of 2in1 Shampoo+body wash, no conditioner. You can ask for more upon request. - There's eight luggage storage space at the hotel and they're first come first serve, if its full, they recommend you to storage it lockers at the train station. Pro: - Location was good, the area is quiet at night and it's walkable to many places. - Clean - housekeeper did a good job with the cleaning.

Overall, the location of the property was the best thing about it. On the downside, it was located on a very steep street, difficult to access with suitcases. In addition, the elevator was so small that it was difficult for two people with suitcases to fit. In addition, the staffing plan at the front desk was inadequate. When we arrived, there was no one there, although there was a sign that said, “We will be right back.” They were not right back until the next day. One of our travel partners was assigned a room that smelled very musty, and felt like a basement. On the upside, the desk personnel did help our travel partners secure a new room in which they could sleep, so that was helpful. The woman who was in charge of the breakfast buffet was excellent, she worked so hard to keep all items refilled, and greeted all the guests with a very pleasant good morning. She was a real plus.

I realize that inexpensive bookings means you get what you pay for but this was on a different level. 1) I only received an email regarding how to enter my room after I contacted Mystay when I found myself locked out the building in the middle of the night. 2) I found moths flitting around my room when I got in. 3) Found actual body hair that I took a picture of on the floor of my bathroom. Awful and disgusting. Nice area tho.

The room was very dirty and mouldy, with a burnt floor in the bathroom. The photos were misleading, and I found a lot of hair on the bedsheet, which was extremely unhygienic. It was also difficult to contact any staff as the property operates entirely through self check-in.

Very dirty, no reception desk, no place for bags when you arrive early they direct you to the train station for that. You can hear your neighbours snoring, and the cleaning ladies in their phones as they “clean”. We put our sign to make up the room at 1030am and they never came. don’t recommend.

I was pleasantly suprised with my room at Mystay Porto Batalha. The room was extremely clean and has aircon and a bar fridge. From the train station the climb up to the hotel was incredibly steep up R. de Madeira but i found if you just walk up R. 31 de Janeira it was much easier even though it seems longer the walk is easier.

The location was great. It had the smallest lift I have ever seen, but I was glad to have it. I appreciated the fridge. The room was small, but fine. The room itself was quite large and spacious, which was a nice surprise, and it included a generously sized closet. One of the windows offered a lovely view, which we appreciated during our stay. A major downside, however, was the bathroom sink — it was badly clogged from the start. Despite reaching out via the WhatsApp contact posted in the room, we received no response during our entire four-day stay. The sink would overflow quickly, making basic tasks like shaving, brushing teeth, or even washing hands for more than 20 seconds frustrating and messy. The shallow basin and poor drainage significantly impacted our overall experience. There was spackling visible on nearly every wall, which made the room feel a bit unfinished. On a positive note, we were able to store our bags in a secure locker upon arrival before check-in, which was convenient. The location was also quite good — about a 5–10 minute walk to the nearest subway station and close to the train station. It was easy to get to the water and walk around the city from there, making it a great base for exploring Porto.

Let’s start with the positives the kitchenette was a big plus when you're tired of eating out. It was stocked with all the dishes, including a small pack of olive oil and salt, which was thoughtful. We also loved the separate dining area with two chairs. When booking a room, we usually look for three things: a comfortable bed, a clean, modern bathroom, and a good location. The bathroom was great, and the location was good too, but be warned, it's on a super steep hill. Even with just two carry ons, walking up from the subway was rough. The bed was much smaller than a standard queen, and the room had enough space for a king, we barely slept as we weren’t able to move! The biggest issue though? No staff. Not one person. This isn’t made clear when booking, likely on purpose. As tourists without local data, we had to turn on roaming (costing $30) just to get the entry code. There was no Wi-Fi info in the email or room. There’s a useless WhatsApp number posted, but no one responds. We got two very thin pillows, and with no staff, we had to use our clothes for extra support. We even saw other confused guests stuck outside, unable to access help due to no internet. We let them in so they could figure things out. Overall, I won’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it. I prefer places with 24/7 staff you can rely on

The room was okay, but smaller than in pictures, I could say that it was too small for two people. Cleaning service worked very well daily. At least two times the electricity went off from our room for at least one hour (there was still electricity in the corridor and elevator also worked). Big balcony was a plus but you could only see the wall of the opposite building. The location was however wonderful, near metro station and the shopping street.

Hôtel bien placé pour visiter Porto à pied, chambre double supérieure très bien au 4ème étage, très spacieuse comme sur les photos, salle de bain petite, très propre. Effectivement l'ascenseur est très petit mais il existe. Entrée autonome dans l'hôtel avec des codes pour la porte et pour la chambre. Le seul défaut est la mauvaise isolation phonique entre les chambres, c'est dommage. Nos voisins avaient les mêmes horaires que nous donc ça s'est bien passé. Pour le petit déjeuner je vous conseille le Tropical sur la place attenante, équipe accueillante et efficace.

Very clean. Nice bathroom. Good for the price. Really easy to check in. Lockers available to leave luggage which is really appreciated. Only thing is we had a problem with the electricity and the staff were no help at all, telling us that it wasn’t their problem. So the costumer service is not good. This was a very disappointing hotel experience. 1. No customer service on weekends. If you follow the online check-in process provided by the hotel before arrival, you’ll receive the main gate and room PIN codes — but you cannot check in early. There’s no customer service available on weekends. 2. Limited free lockers. Although the hotel offers free lockers, there are not many. If you arrive with two large luggage’s, you’ll likely find there’s not enough space to store them. I experienced this problem myself, but thankfully, I met a kind cleaner who allowed me to leave my luggages in their storage room. I truly appreciate her kindness. 3. Very small room. The room was extremely small — it was impossible to open two luggages flat on the floor. 4. Bathroom issues. The bathroom ventilation fan didn’t work. The shower had strong water pressure, but the showerhead holder was loose, so once the water was turned on, the spray hit the opposite wall directly. 5. Electrical problems (the worst part). At night, the power went out — twice. If I hadn’t known how to reset it myself, I would have spent the entire night without electricity. Again, there was no customer service available on weekends to help. I chose this hotel mainly because of its price and the convenient walking distance to Porto’s main attractions, but other than that, I can’t say there was anything satisfying about my stay.

Absolutely terrible stay! This property is all virtual and which caused for lack of communication. Not helpful and would not assist us in any issues that arose. Took three days to hear back once we checked out. Our power went out in our room and we had no electricity, lights, and AC. They could not offer us another room but then at 11pm at night offered to move us hotels even though we contacted them in the morning and were checking out at 7am the next morning. Our shower head was broken and shower pressure was super poor! Then the drains weren’t working causing floods. Once I got ahold of them today they stated that we did not reach out, however Expedia reached out on our behalf several times and they denied refunds.

O Hotel é bom, a localização é excelente e perto dos principais pontos de Porto, mas a comunicação com os proprietarios e equipe é péssima. Tentei conversar com eles antes da minha chegada e não obtive nenhuma resposta a não ser mensagens prontas que não respondiam as minhas dúvidas. O canal de WhatsApp fornecido pelo hotel abaixo da TV nao funciona, pois tem uma fila de mensagens sem respostas. Tivemos um incidente com a trava da porta travada que tivemos que acionar bombeiros e policia, pois a manutenção chegou após de 1 hora e trinta minutos. Não conseguíamos sair e pessoas não conseguiam entrar no prédio. Fiquei somente 2 noites e meu quarto não foi arrumado, ou seja sem serviço de quarto. Como disse a comunicação e equipe precisa melhorar para dar uma melhor experiência aos hóspede, pois isso foi um relato de apenas de duas noites.

Das Hotel kann man für den Preis weiterempfehlen. Die Lage ist zentral und man kommt überall zu Fuß hin. Zimmer war okay, klein aber sauber und Klimaanlage funktionierte auch super. Man musste keine Mitarbeiter antreffen. Es funktionierte über Pin-Codes für den Eingang und Zimmer (für den Eingang musste man den Code manchmal ein paar mal eingeben, bis die Tür sich öffnete). Was uns verwirrt hat, dass man das Frühstück online für 32€/Person dazubuchen musste und dieses an die Tür geliefert bekommen hätte. Bei der Buchung hatte ich eher ein Frühstücksbuffet/-Raum erwartet. Es gibt allerdings an jeder Ecke Bäckerein, wo man sich auch günstig gute Snacks holen kann. Alles in einem würde ich das Hotel für 1-2 Nächte empfehlen, länger aber nicht. Für den günstigen Preis darf man natürlich keine hohen Ansprüche haben. Aber man hat dort alles, was man für eine kurze Zeit benötigt.

The front desk staff was so helpful with touristing tips and getting us a ride to the airport. The desk is not staffed all hours and the room doors are keyless (on a number pad). Breakfast was adequate. The hotel is on a hill and there are good ways and bad ways to get to it (i.e. stairs, or a tall hill or skirting around the hill). It is very well located for accessing restaurants and a laundry.
