This is a nice hotel near Shishane metro and Galata area. Facilities are nice and staff is very helpful. It has a nice view of mosques and bosphorus. Very Nice breakfast is provided. Only downside is standard rooms are on the smaller side and can be noisy sometimes when you are on second floor. Bilal and Hassan were very helpful an great.

Overall a good stay at Doruk - a decent price/value stay, however nothing incredible (so just as expected for what you pay, not some deal as some reviews make it sound) Staff and cats are very friendly and personal. Probably the highlight of our stay. Room a bit unmaintained especially in bath (toilet moving, sink tap not attached etc.). However it’s functional given the price. Room was sold as Sea View however our 1st floor room did not really have any view from the bed. Area around is not nice, abandoned buildings and shops that close very early. However, it did not fell particularly unsafe. It’s quiet (except the prayer call, but that’s expected for Istanbul) so got good sleep. All in all, like I said at the start its what you expect for the price.

Oh my Gosh! We absolutely LOVED our three days at Doruk Palace Hotel! Muhammed and his team impressed us even before our arrival, as they communicated about airport transport & potential activities. They were articulate & responsive & eased any pre-arrival angst. Upon arrival, we were greeted graciously, enjoying cappucino & conversation, getting all of our logistical questions answered. Our rooms were perfect, clean, efficient & quiet. The team of Ali, Ghufran & Hassan each made a personal impact on the quality of our stay. This team made Doruk Palace one of our favorite stays throughout our 3 week trip! Anyone visiting Istanbul& desiring a walkable experience near Golata Tower, Istankul St & the bridge to the Old City

We stayed for the final part of our vacation in Istanbul, the hotel was extremely clean such as the room and specially the bathroom, but the best part was the service directly from the owners and wonderful staff. The breakfast was a traditional Turkish breakfast, with plenty, and always offered tea and coffee, and freshly prepared eggs. On top they where always on the look to find a way to help or guide/recommend you on the places to visit or eat.

Compared to Seoul, the surroundings of the building are Euljiro lighting shops??? It's the same atmosphere. It is 5 minutes from Galata Tower and is a good place to catch a ferry or go to Old Town and Taksim Square. The staff are all friendly and the breakfast variety is not varied but fresh and tasty. It was a pleasure to hear the manager cat cry for the door open every night. The view from the room I was using was nice, but the biggest problem was the bathroom drain. You'll have the embarrassing experience of water up to your ankles before you even finish showering. You will have to take care of drainage

From the moment I stepped into the Property I was treated as a very special guest. The Staff were welcoming and offered a drink and familiarised me with the property and the surrounds. My room was compact but fresh and clean with a wonderful view across the Golden Horn to the Sultanahmet and Bazaar District's skyline. The Hotel is well located close Galata Tower and and walking distance to the Shopping and Dining areas around Istiklal Caddesi in Beyoglu. Overall a very comfortable and enjoyable stay!

The minute you walk in to the hotel you are made to feel right at home. Mohammed was amazing at recommending the perfect places for us to eat.. all within walking distance and delicious. After a long day of exploring the city you are welcomed “home” with a coffee or cold drink. I recommend getting a room at the top floor with a balcony and a spectacular view of the city.

We had the standard room which was a little tight especially the bathroom but for the price it was acceptable. I would opt for an upgrade next time. Location was good, very accessible to Galata tower, public transport and shopping. Breakfast was great and staff was very friendly and helpful.

We booked a room for 3 people and the extra bed is broken, it collapses when we sit on it. It seems like one of us will sleep on the floor tonight as I have just been told that the hotel is fully booked and they don’t have a room to move us to… Fun. Just like we expected for a VIP customer of Expedia.

This is a great small hotel close to Galata Tower. Hotel owner and staff are super nice and friendly. Breakfast included great variety of food. Rooms are kind of small in size. We booked a 'superior room' but it barely had space to walk around the bed. We had free upgrade to a larger room after we complained to the hotel owner. Hotel location is good for the Galata area, but next time we would prefer to stay in the old town.

Great small hotel with super friendly staff. My room was clean and tidy, with a good view from my window) Great breakfast bar. Liked the staff that works there. Very nice people. I used their shuttle option to and from the airport- loved that service. Will come back again next time! Definitely recommend this place!

Great seaview and toward old town sights. Room was ok for a short stay. Good hospitality but we had an incident where we have asked for a taxi at a particular time and after waiting over 15min we needed to hail one from the street which is an awful experience in Istanbul.

Had an amazing 3 night stay with my family at doruk palace. I think what really sets it apart is the service. They really welcome you here and genuinely try and make your stay enjoyable. No issues with picking us up at midnight after a delayed flight, gave us some free lemonde at one point, and when my daughter got sick they let us stay late until we could check in early at next hotel. Plus view from 3rd floor deluxe was fantastic. Overall a wonderful introduction to istanbul!

This is a great hotel - excellent location, close to nightlife and shops but a quiet side street. Perfect combination As other reviews suggest, the staff are outstanding - great hospitality and lots of helpful advice on what to visit and how to make the most of public transport. Really genuine hospitality and would definitely recommend staying here. Doruk Palas Hotel exceeded my expectations, especially regarding their service. They made me feel at home in a wonderful neighborhood within Istanbul. I wish my stay here was longer to take full advantage of the local sights, but this just means I will need to return again. I very much look forward to it!

Best hotel staff I ever encounter during my travel. Especially Ghofran who helped us in a locating a lot of things, she was exceptional. I will have to mention the manager Mohamed that went above and beyond, he even got my husband a gift for his birthday that coincided at the time of our stay. Also Ahmed who was welcoming and the friendliest when we checked in. My hat to all of them and my thanks for making our journey wonderful.

The best thing about this hotel was the staff! They were so generous with us (and from what we could see, with the other guests too) with their time, — welcoming us and answering the myriad of questions we had about Istanbul, transportation, etc. The room was comfortable and clean. We were on the first floor, so there was a little bit of noise from the laneway, but nothing too disturbing. The location was convenient - walkable to Taksim, Galata tower, Galata bridge in 15-20 minutes.

We arrived in Istanbul a day early for our trip and we were here for one night. The staff was so friendly and nice! We had Turkish coffee upon arrival while waiting a few minutes for our room to be ready. Great location within walking distance of galata tower area. Nice and clean room. Great stay!

This is a nice hotel near Shishane metro and Galata area. Facilities are nice and staff is very helpful. It has a nice view of mosques and bosphorus. Very Nice breakfast is provided. Only downside is standard rooms are on the smaller side and can be noisy sometimes when you are on second floor. Bilal and Hassan were very helpful an great.

Super nettes Personal, der Chef stande immer für die Gäste mit Tipps zur Verfügung. Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit Terrasse und einem wahnsinnigen Ausblick auf Istanbul. I enjoyed my stayed at Doruk. The hotel is near the Galata Tower and also near the Galata Bridge where you can take public transportation to the Dolmabahçe Palace and other main highlights. The staff is very friendly and professional. Mohammed was amazing with all his recommendations for dinner. Emir was always so helpful and he makes the best lemonade. Finally my favorite of all! Osmen Bay. I spent three weeks in Türkiye. I was missing my cat and Osmen (the sweetest cat owned by the hotel) was so nice to keep me company and give me cuddles. Thank you everyone for making my last 5 days in Istanbul memorable.

Doruk Palas had an incredibly helpful and friendly staff that really made our stay in Istanbul wonderful. The very large breakfast spread with made to order omelettes was also lovely.

We stayed for the final part of our vacation in Istanbul, the hotel was extremely clean such as the room and specially the bathroom, but the best part was the service directly from the owners and wonderful staff. The breakfast was a traditional Turkish breakfast, with plenty, and always offered tea and coffee, and freshly prepared eggs. On top they where always on the look to find a way to help or guide/recommend you on the places to visit or eat.

We arrived at the hotel earlier than check in time and lucky our room is ready and we can check in. The gentleman at the reception (I think his name is Cell) who checked us in is very friendly and informative, he took the time to explain where to go in Istanbul.
