This place is awesome and had everything we needed. Very clean and lots of room gor a family of 4. This house is second to none in accomodations in Akureyri. We really enjoyed our stay there.

We had flies in the unit and no flyswatter or spray to get rid of them (we could not determine where they were coming in from as no windows were open). The contact phone number on the information card did not work and the email sent to the email address on the information card was not deliverable. The wifi code on the information card did not work (we were able to get it off the router). The unit was charming and the historical building is cool but it is unclear whether the keypad code is changed after guests check out. Easy walk to the shopping and restaurant area.

Convenient location and a cool looking old house. However the walls are paper thin, I mean being able to hear the person in the other room crumpling paper or moving blankets. The kitchen was odly stocked (no deep bowls for cereal, no scissors etc), and there was a posted cleaning fee, but nothing provided to clean with. Also no laundry faciltiies in a longer term stay isnt great either. Also in places the paint was chipping, and the upstairs neigbors (different ones) woke us up all week, and downstairs too

The apartment was lovely, however, our apartment was on the middle floor, with another rental apartment (same owners) above. Unfortunately, I can only assume that the apartment above has floorboards and the guests staying in the apartment above had children - all we could hear each evening was people running around above us until after 2200hrs, loud voices and doors banging, even in the early hours (which woke us up). On our second morning we were woken by tbe running around at 0644hrs! Perhaps the owner could make a point of highlighting to any guests uostairs that there are guests downstairs too? The accommodsation was.spacious and comfortable, but we did experience a number of small issues which could have been avoided - there weren't enough pillows on the main kingsize bed (two thin pillows and no spares available). We also couldn't get the satellite box to work on the TV as we had no code. We did message the owners to ask for the code but they didn't respond. And there were no instructions for anything, not even a wifi code for us to use. Overall, the accommodation has lots of potential, but unfortunately for us this was the worst accommodation experience we have had in a while - two sleepless nights - thanks to the noisy guests staying in the apartment above.
