Room was great and staff very attentive. However, they have changed their shuttle route now. It is absolutely ridiculous. It drops you off behind Hyatt/Oberoi hotel and you have to take an elevator and walk so long to make it to haram. I took the shuttle once only. After that i just walked directly to Haram from hotel. Because of the ridiculous shuttle stop i will not be staying at this hotel or the Marriott infront of it.

Great hotel in a less busier area. There’s isn’t much nearby and the property is yet to be connected to the mall etc. as it’s still fairly new and construction on surrounding buildings is on going. The provided shuttle is very helpful, frequent, quick, and 24/7. There isn’t much around so you’ll have to head towards the Haram for dining and shopping. Breakfast was fresh and offered a lot of variety. Only complaint is that at times the smell from the drain or water was unpleasant, hoping it gets fixed once construction has completed.

Excellent customer service and very fast room service. The breakfast was good, with plenty of options. The hotel is very close to Masjid al-Haram — only about a 5-minute walk — and they also provide frequent golf cart service back and forth for prayers, which is especially convenient for elders. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Makkah.

The hotel is walking distance to the Haram, however it’s on a steep hill so not convenient for young children and elderly. The shuttle bus runs every 10 minutes which is very convenient but then you have to take a lift and a bit of a walk to Haram.Overall the hotel is immaculate, they gave us an upgrade which was really helpful, clean spacious rooms, amazing staff, lovely continental breakfast with a lot of choices. There’s a cafe and food court nearby. Will definitely recommend. Thank you Hilton Doubletree 😊

Hotel is quite new, clean and nice, better than old ones facing Haram. The room is modern, and spacious. Bathroom is v nice. We got a view of Haram. You have to take a shuttle to Haram. Quite frequent. Drop off area is closer to Intercon dar at tawhid, but together with other taxis, vans etc felt like a terminal in busy time.

It’s up on the hill, does have a shuttle service, but it so complicated to get to the shuttle, and it’s only 2/3 minutes ride. We walked to the haram walking up the stairs, down the steps and walked some more Such a waste of time, even though it’s so close proximity to haram. My husband and I actually were staying at Makkah Hotel, but decided to stay one extra night and found out double tree is quite cheap. I wouldn’t recommend it even for the price. But This lady Merida at the check in, she was amazing, spoke fluent English and gave us a suite upgrade, amazing room! We barely stayed in the room for 4 hours. Such a hard time getting to & from.

Our room was 'upgraded' & when we entered our room it was nowhere near ready. Towels had hair, shower had hair, soap was used and dirty - it was even put in the box to make it seem as if its been replaced but tgey clearly do not check these things. The property transport was supposed have a minibus that drops us off to the elevators to go towards the Kaabah, but on the second day this stopped working and we had to used golf carts which were extremely busy as only a limited amount of people can get on. As well as this, the main reception was under construction which meant our daily entrance was the fire exit. This really was a put off as at the price we paid, we barely felt like we got anything back. It is not what I expected from a Hilton hotel and it honestly was upsetting as we only chose this hotel over competitors due to the brand name and pur previous good experiences with Hilton. Very disappointing visit.

I loved the entrance, lobby is very beautiful but rooms are completely opposite. Rooms are very small feels suffocated, carpet was very dirty, there was no microwave in the room and whole building. Water I from bathroom shower room was coming out and bathroom was staying wet all the time. Towels given were not washed and dried properly and they had very bad smells.

in our room AC kept turning on by itself for no reason and at times it sounded like building work was going on from the AC. the problem was resolved by moving us to a different room. the showers in both rooms were dirty and rusty on the edges which really put me off, as a hotel and for the price you pay you would expect it to be very clean, but no. one of the rooms the water kept flooding out into the rest of the bathroom even with the door closed. breakfast was very disappointing there was hardly any choice and everyday it was the same things. the shuttle bus that takes you to the haram is not as straightforward as one might think. you take the bus and then walk to take a lift where you are dropped off. from the lift you have to walk up a road which is like a hill and even then you have to walk quite a bit to get to any gate or any of the main gates. so it takes 10 mins to get there. i ended up walking instead which felt quicker, but even then it should have been listed as 10 mins on their website. i would not go back to this hotel and don’t recommend it if you’re looking for something clean and close to the haram.

Very nice location, walking distance to Haram, they have convenient coaster service which takes you from hotel door to haram gate every few minutes. Very clean and spacious room. Staff very friendly and co operative. Breakfast is very good. Love it. Recommend it to anyone coming for Umrah.

Excellent Stay! I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The room was spotless and beautifully maintained — very comfortable and relaxing after a long day. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, always welcoming with warm smiles and prompt service. The amenities were also impressive, especially the breakfast—adjust as needed, which made the stay even more enjoyable after long hours of Ibadah, Alhamdulillah!!! Housekeeping is very poor. We have to request everyday 4 the rooms to be cleans, tea cups are not washed or positioned nicely, toiles essentials such as hand soaps etc are only replaced once for the 9 days we stayed there and. even the one time was at my request, sheets and pillow cases are not changed even if they are stained, towels also not changed.

Excellent stay for Umrah. Close to Masjid, 24 hr frequent shuttle service, never had to wait. Was upgraded to a twin suit on 27th floor with beautiful view. House keeping service was very quick when asked for toilet papers or anything. Breakfast was really good. Should provide some varieties, gets boring if you stay for 4/5 days. Highly recommended

It was an amazing experience and overall a wonderful facility. Amjad, the lady who was serving us at the front desk was so kind and so thoughtful. I was traveling with my elderly father. She was kind enough to upgrade us to a suite. They have a shuttle that goes to the Kaaba which was wheelchair accessible. We use the shuttle more than a few times a day. Very convenient wonderful facility. Wonderful service will definitely come back and stay here if I’m ever lucky enough to be in Mecca again.

Housekeeping needs better training. So does overall staff who kept blaming other shifts for a poor job instead of taking responsibility for mistakes. Front desk claimed my room was not on the system because he was too lazy to check properly, and his colleague had to intervene. No proper queuing system on the buggy so queue jumpers were not controlled properly. My third stay here, and service level has dropped sharply.

Excellent hotel with great facilities. The restaurant manager was extremely polite and helpful. Unfortunately we had to wait longer than 20 mins for reception to check in. Even when served, for any other query we had to wait in the queue which added to the overall time for full check in. Despite being told we had a late check in this didn’t happen and we had to again wait in reception for longer than 10 mins to get the key activated again.

Extended my stay via a separate booking and it took 3 separate reminders at front desk to retain the original room booked. Even then, on the day of extension, front desk claimed my room wasn't in the system despite it being paid for. Sheer laziness on his part, his colleague had to intervene to sort it out. Lovely location and staff. Excellent breakfast. Rooms were well equipped and had everything needed. Beds were very comfortable. Special shout out to Chef Kadi and Chef Ahmed who were very accommodating to the allergies in my family and kept us safe and cared for :) All the staff were caring, friendly, and helpful. My only complaint is that it is very difficult to get in touch with the hotel via email or telephone. I forgot something at the hotel and called over 20 times without any response. There was also no response via email. I also called the Hilton global number, but the agent from the call centre was also unable to get in contact with the hotel.

Its almost 10 mins walk from masjid... I'll not recommend for elderly people as it is situated at height if they want to go by walk. 24 hours shuttle service which is very convenient break fast and dinner is excellent. But room service is very bad no proper cleaning you have to ask again and again... my makeup room staff was very arrogant as they were not doing there work proprlerly.

Love the hotel, it was our 4rd time staying with Double Tree by Hilton. This time I had a baby with me and I found it little too far and not so easy to go to Masjid for every prayer. Even the bus stopped far away from masjid so it was not practical for us. If we chose not to stay with this hotel next time It will solely be based on this reason

The toiletries were of poor quality that gave me rashes. Having requested for a shower cap I got ear buds. The cleaners were nice but dishearteningly were nosey just like the breakfast staff who were keeping a watchful eye and in between coming to your table asking every few minutes how was the food was unnecessary. The omlettte requests had long queue and was a put off and scrambled eggs were tasteless

It was a really nice stay with easy check-in and a convenient location just 10 minutes walk to the Haram, with bus service also available. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff, especially Mahdi, were amazing—he kindly arranged for us to have breakfast earlier than the normal time to accommodate our early morning flight, which we really appreciated.
