Motel easy to find and ample parking. Was concerned initially that room did not face the river but even better I had a great grassy area outside my room for my dog. Staff was available for anything you needed. The property is well taken care of and room was extremely clean. Was excited to see that they had ice available. I didn’t participate in the bonfires every night, but it was great to be invited.

Loved that this was pet friendly and secluded. Beautiful views and the outdoor spaces were excellent. There was fire wood for a fire, and even grills to grill food. Would have loved to stay longer and will definitely be returning.

Wow, let me start with say i owe this place a apology. When i first booked the room I said its a basic hotel/motel with a great view. Boy was i wrong! Thos place is breath taking yes the view was a huge part of the stay bit the beds were comfortable the rooms were clean. There was a sauna 😳. Rhe fire pit came with everything one needed to build a fire and enjoy the night. They have a grill and bags tfor entertainment. Id recommend this place to my mom to my co workers to my siblings and many more. It is a beautiful hidden gems. Thanks for the amazing peaceful resets.

Do yourself a favour: on your way to the Motel, stop at the Kwik Star and get some snacks and your favorite beverage. Get to the hotel, check in with the friendly, knowledgeable staff, then take your snacks and beverages to the overlook. You'll be there for a while. A long while. Cute, clean, quiet, AMAZING view that you'd never expect in Iowa. Well worth the visit.

Loved the view over the river. The fire pit was nice and the picnic table was nice to set at. I Loved hearing the birds. The rabbit just sat and looked at us. We will be back if ever back that way. Would love to stay there again

Charming little motel. Clean rooms, comfy bed and stocked with soap and shampoo etc. We felt safe, dead bolts, code locks and well lit at night. View was amazing. If I ever need to return to Iowa I would not hesitate to stay here again. Staff was helpful and friendly. Felt like a cabin not a motel (we were in the King and Queen Suite)

Cute little motel, great view. A little outdated but we don't mind as long as it's clean! The bed though.....very hard and uncomfortable. For that reason we probably won't stay again. Otherwise we would!

We stayed in room 9. It is very small and has no view of the river, which all other rooms do. Check in is easy, with a room and door code sent prior to check in. Parking is close. You can hear the road from the rooms. The grassy area and fire pit are nice and offer a great view of the river.

this is now our favorite hotel of all time, and we are OLD! staff very kind, they compose great text messages! the room offers every amenity anyone could want, including great space management with a FULL kitchen and a very modern bathroom. the location, location, location is MARVELOUS as well. no downside -- we will DEFINITELY return!!

We got there later at night. No lights to see our room number. Bed was stiffer than the floor. No extra blankets. One thin comforter. Thank god my husband and I brought blankets. The walls so thin that we couldn't sleep because of whoever was next to us was loud. TV kept cutting in and out. Hot water did not stay hot very long. After a long day of driving it was a pure disappointment considering all we wanted to do is relax in comfort. Also not having an onsite person to get a hold of is very inconvenient.

Stayed here 6 times now. Panoramic View is unbeatable. No Management or staff on site, never been a problem. Code for door. If U are a light sleeper beware busy train line right beneath the Motel,, It is on a bluff, train blows its horn all the way thru Guttenberg, There are lots of crossings without gates. I am light sleeper also. Just go back to sleep,

We loved everything about the place. The view is spectacular along with the sitting area to enjoy this hidden treasure. We did run into a problem getting into our room. after calling the number on the office door several times we finally received a call with our code and room number. We waited around for an hour and were on our way out to find another place to stay when Susie called us back. We truly enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Unfortunately, we got there late and left early. But, we were pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable the room was. The views were awesome! The town was much closer and larger than we expected. Many restaurants close. Would definitely stay again!!

What a one-of-a-kind, magical place atop the majestic Mississippi River! The stunning, sweeping views surely make you feel like an eagle so the place is well named. The sunrises are breathtaking & the moonlight river is surreal. Add to that the variety of autumn colors we saw during our October stay & it makes for a truly unforgettable & special experience. But even more special is the fact my 96 year old beautiful Mother got to return to stay above the very scenic overlook she had a professional photographer take a picture of her after the summer she graduated from high school in 1948 an amazing 77 years earlier! Furthermore, coming a 2200 mile journey from Malibu, California where she now lives with me (her daughter), was quite a homecoming indeed! Thank you, Eagle's View Owner & Staff for making our "homecoming" the trip of a lifetime! 🙏 🌈

We took a little getaway to the driftless area. What a beautiful surprise for us here! So much history and beautiful scenery. Fun and friendly people. We made many stops at all the shops and lookouts and restaurants too.
