Stayed 5 nights

I booked this stay as there were advertised pictures of a kitchen that I expected to be able to use during my time. I discovered that booking a room does not cover kitchen access and it’s locked to all guests. There is a microwave that you can use in a different building but not even a kettle is available to make a cup of tea. Also, when I arrived the chair in my room was completely broken and the only one they could find to replace it with was small and uncomfortable. Other than that, great walkable location and decent room.

Stayed 5 nights

Wonderful way to start our stay in Ireland. Staff were amazing at giving us tips for living in the city, sites to see and best ways to get around. In a great location with a pub, cafe and grocery store right in front of the building. Special shout out to Russ who went out of his way to give us suggestions for an amazing hike in Howth and how to best use the public transit. Would absolutely stay here again. Bonus feature of a large chess set in the quad!

Stayed 2 nights

They have no storage for bags so we had to pay for bag storage at a random restaurant down the street since we couldn’t check in early either. Don’t ask for early check in, they’re not going to even remotely try to accommodate you. Bathroom was small but clean and same with the room. Bed was small too, definitely a squeeze for two people, for one it’s fine. It’s a quick walk to the main downtown area so location was good. Staff were not the friendliest. It also shares a building with student housing so it’s not a normal hotel feel. Probably wouldn’t stay again but wouldn’t be completely against it. You could probably stay somewhere much nicer for an extra 20-40 bucks a night and i’d recommend doing that unless you’re on a major budget.

Stayed 4 nights

The location might appear ideal (although a bit off centered) but OK if you do not mind walking which is my case. Other than that, this is not a Hotel, so it should not be proposed or rented as such. Rooms are small but it is not an issue, the main issue is that it is basically impossible to get a good night of sleep. Bed is too small for two so why renting such room for 2, the bed is not a double! No AC (and of course I understand), but on top of this the window is 20cm wide and it is therefore impossible to refresh the room (29° in the room in the middle of the night... good luck for sleeping). The noise from inside and outside is also keeping you from sleeping, the door (fire doors) are so numerous and heavy that when they close, the walls are shaking, the walls are paper thin so that you know what is goinf on next door (a real pity). No cleaning for 5 nights, and nothing to clean by ourself... All this for a price that I would not call cheap, if the price was divided by 2, I would not be complaining but for 100+ euros, this is not fair. Cheers!
