Great property. Amazing view sitting in front of your room with the ocean as your canvas. The property is well kept and has a cute sitting area with a fountain where you can catch the sunset. Staff is super sweet and helpful. Rooms are clean and cozy. Property had a good selection for continental breakfast. Overall a great place to zen out.

The landscaping with flowers and sea Oats were lovely and the view spectacular, loved the porch with Adarondach chairs watching the sunset over the ocean Would love to return for another stay!

All rooms had a balcony. It had a huge grassy space to sit and relax and have a picnic. The area was quiet. Staff was friendly. Parking very easy. Room was clean and had comfortable furnishings. Breakfast was simple but we didn’t even expect any so we really appreciated that. Very reasonably priced compared to other options in the area.

We loved staying here. For a place right off the main road, it seemed like a far away oasis. The grounds were so well kept and there were tons of outdoor things to do on the property; Including picnic tables, disc golf and a bocce ball court! There was even a pond with bullfrogs singing their night songs. The view was incredible. We could clearly see the ocean and sunrise / sunset from our room, making for some memorable photos. This hotel was a little farther away from things like take out and fast food so plan out your food options in advance. We had a love / hate relationship with not having cell service. Hotel WiFi worked well to bridge the gap. Staff members were super chill and kind. We liked having the option of breakfast (elevated grab and go) on our way out to activities. The room itself was nicely furnished and had comfy pillows and bed. The shower and bathroom was nice and we liked having an eating area. Balcony was well maintained with comfy chairs and table and a nice size. Layout of the room was great for a small room. We had a coffee maker, microwave, and small fridge in our room. We stayed with our cat who really really liked this hotel. It’s also close to ocean access and forest / national park access. We went during a quiet time of the week but even with others around we barely heard them. We would love to stay again.

The Seafoam is adorable! Chairs on our private porch as well as on the lawn to face the ocean and watch the sunset. The room was spacious 2 double with a living space with a couch coffee table and tv. In room amenities were great no hair dryer but I suspect the office would have one if we had requested- they supplied us with a corkscrew bottle opener. The property had an outdoor elliptical exerciser and chin up bar also cornhole on a level grassy surface. A local gas convenience sold wine beer n groceries. Everything in our room was fresh clean & appeared as brand new

Very quaint hotel, less than 4 miles to Mendocino, amazing view, great staff, hiking trail behind the hotel, and continental breakfast is included. You can hear frogs croaking at night so if you need quiet to sleep, bring earplugs because you are out in nature. Last thing, not ADA designed

The couple that ran the property are absolutely wonderful people. They are all about the property and the guest experience. Every room has a view and the rooms appear to be recently renovated. Around the property is beautiful, there are areas that need some TLC with replanting or a refresh. We saw them doing that while we were there so I know it’s on their radar. The bed was super comfy and the amenities in the room were perfect. Great local and great get away spot….

The facilities seemed brand new and upon inquiring we learned that the place had been renovated nicely quite recently. The view from our room of the ocean was cool, and the property had plenty of places to sit outside and relax with a drink or picnic. They had a bocce ball court and free balls which was a nice touch. The staff at the front desk were polite, nice and very helpful with dinner recommendations. We've stayed in the area b4 but this was our first stop here--we'll definitely be back!

Perfect for our golden. Huge lawn where he could run with other dogs. Great rooms. Cute and comfortable. Beautiful landscape. Views of ocean. Highly recommend especially for people traveling with dogs!!

We enjoyed our stay at SeaFoam very much. The room was comfortable and well appointed. It was quiet, except for the singing frogs all night long! The staff were very friendly. Our only complaint was the light bulb or fixture was not working outside our door. With a step at the doorway that was difficult to see in the dark, it was an unsafe condition. We requested that it be fixed twice, but it was not while we were there. Also, the soap dispenser in the room did not work. Otherwise, this is a great place to stay!

Better choices in the area for the same price! The room was not cleaned properly for some time- there was dust bunnies under the chairs and when I pulled back the curtains all sorts of hairs were along the floors. The furniture would be in a free pile at the thrift store it\'s so worn and used- no cushion left on the sitting chairs you just plunk right down to the frame. Plastic chairs on patio were so uncomfortable nobody was even sitting outside. Bed was completely broken in, you sink to the middle with no support. Toilet was loose, and there\'s no way to ventilate the room unless you open the doors. Floors are freezing so you have to wear shoes inside. The heating unit was very loud and less than 5" from the bed so you get blasted with sound and air every cycle. Breakfast was continental bagels, muffins, croissants and overripe fruit. No hb eggs or yogurt, etc. There were 2 airpots of coffee, one dark roast one light roast, but the guy behind reception counter yawned and didn\'t move an inch when I said the dark one was empty. It\'s pet friendly but they charge an extra fee of $25 that isn\'t collected or described when you pay online, they charge it when they have your incidentals card on file. You\'re paying a premium for the view of ocean and the balcony, basically. The rest of the experience is a cheap motel vibe- I won\'t be back that\'s for sure.

The staff was great. The location was pretty and there were nice views from the unit. The only issue was the musty smell in the room. Despite opening the slider and turning on the fan, the must was still rather apparent throughout our 2 day stay.

This place is gorgeous. We had views of the ocean. It was calm and peaceful, a nice weekend get-away. The staff are incredibly nice. We love that breakfast and coffee are served every morning. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating was because of an ant infestation in our room. We let the front desk know. Eventhough the problem wasn't resolved, they did their best to help with the situation.

The property needs to spray for ants. We arrived back to a room that had quite a few ants on the floor, bed and wall. When I informed the staff, they sprayed and changed the bedding but we fought with the ants for a few hours. No money off was offered and we couldn’t get another room due to the motel being full. It’s such a cute place I would hate to see it not do well with bad reviews.

This place was pretty nice and we were pleasantly surprised. It appeared to be remodeled recently with good quality features. The room was clean and private. We loved the chairs outside the room and enjoyed a few glasses of wine. The only problems we had were some ants in the room, which wasn’t a huge deal to us and a light outside our door that shown through the window. It was pretty bright through the night and it wasn’t something that we could switch off. Considering the price relative to other stays in the area, it was a great experience and we will definitely be back, trying a different room though.

Beautiful gardens, ocean view, clean and updated rooms, linens and beds incredible. Breakfast options plentiful. Friendly staff, close to Mendocina restaurants! Would definitely stay again

Have stayed here multiple times. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. The views are incredible. The rooms are very clean and pet friendly. The last couple of times, we have experienced problems with ants. This last time was very bad. The location needs better pest control.

Beautiful views from all the balconies!

Wonderful little hotel in Little River, great views, clean room, excellent service. Our only complaint is not the hotel’s fault as such. The wall between our room and the next room was paper thin, and the internal door that allowed access between the two rooms was a cheap pre-hung internal door (I.e. like you would find at a home goods center), with no insulation. As a result, we could hear our neighboring guests as if they were sitting next to us. They would not shut up. First we got to listen to them “enjoying” each other’s company. Seems they like to use some interesting language, amongst a lot of grunting and groaning. Another couple then showed up and the four of them just had a grand ole time laughing and talking until about 1:00am or so. They settled down for a few hours, then started up again at about 4:30. They weren’t screaming or partying as such, it’s just that the walls were so thin that it felt like they were right there. Made of a long night.

Beautiful view from all rooms of the Pacific Ocean! Quiet comfortable spacious room with its own big balcony to enjoy the view of the property flowers and ocean too. Well worth it after a long day driving! Thank you!

Our room was nice, clean and convenient located. Our only issue was the very loud heating system. Even on (low fan) it made it unbearable to fall asleep. So we just slept with the heat off and we’re thankful for the extra blanks and cozy bed. The welcome cookies in the office were to die for. All rooms have a nice view, convenient parking and a cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed our sunny balcony the ocean view. We would return, the place offers a great value for the money. I hope they can install quieter Heat/Ac unit someday soon.

Good value place to stay in the Mendocino area, easy to get to places along the coast. Looked as pictured, Spacious room. All have ocean views. AC was nice but loud. Wifi would disconnect at times but overall worked. Would be nice if bathroom had more hanging space. Place allows pets and some furniture had pet damage. Nice to have a king sized bed, fridge and balcony!

Room was large and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom could have used a small cabinet to use for toiletries. The heating was hard to adjust-wouldn't go off until the room was too warm despite the temperature setting.

This lodge is really an elevated motel with beautiful views. The couple who greeted us upon our arrival were simply lovely, the room was fine, a little cramped but the bed was absolutely stellar. There was a continental breakfast the next morning that wasn’t great ( frozen muffins, individually packaged bagels some apples oranges and bananas). Here’s my main complaint. We stayed at another hotel in town the following night that was $100 less with a beautiful room private patio and jacuzzi, high end restaurant and incredible breakfast included (eggs Benedict, cappuccino, fresh cut fruit) so from a value perspective I think this lodge was wildly over-priced. I would definitely not come back.

The room was cold and the heater was loud and made the loudest squeaking noise every time it shut off. I couldn't regulate the temperature enough and woke up both nights around 3/4am before trying to get back to sleep.

This isn't a fancy place, but it was exactly what I wanted. The staff was friendly. The room was a good size & was clean. The balcony had comfy furniture. The real draw of course is the view. It was spectacular looking out on the water. I had some work tom do at my computer one morning & had the curtains open so I had that great view while I got some work done. I will be back again.

When I arrived, there was a sign on the office door, that they are very sorry, but they don't have power. In this age you would think that the hotel would send you a text or email to let you know you need to find alternative login. Thankfully I arrived early enough (5.10pm) and find another hotel that still had vacancy, but what if I got there later or if this happened in high season and no vacancies around?

Extremely friendly staff and owners. Went out of their way to make sure that we felt comfortable. Highly recommend!

Upon arrival, I had been very excited by the property and location. However, once I checked in they moved me from a suite to a standard room because I had my service animal. The hotel is pet friendly-ish but doesn’t clearly advertise it. Once I found the details that explained this, it had been 20 minutes on their site. It’s not easily identifiable from Hotels.com. i had booked a private room and got a block motel room with no additional discount. the service was lackluster at best. I’ll be staying at Little River Inn next time.

My stay was great, I was in town for work and loved visiting the area. The management/hosts were EXCELLENT. They remembered me each time I went to the office, had great suggestions, and provided a lovely breakfast.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and well maintained

My stay for the two nights I was able to stay were great. What ruined my weekend was Hotels.com and The Seafoam Lodge having a very bad miscommunication and messing up my reservation. I had booked my birthday weekend in June for 8/29 - 9/1 and for some reason Hotels.com told The Seafoam Lodge that my stay was 8/28 - 8/31. Because of this I had to check out of my beautiful room in Little River a day early and accept a room at the Holiday Inn Express in Ft. Bragg, which is not nearly as nice as The Seafoam Lodge. This ruined plans and timing during my birthday weekend which I had to change and try and salvage.

Zack was an amazing host. Engaging, extremely friendly, efficient and, overall, made our stay delightful. Beautiful grounds, ocean view amazingly breathtaking. Although not a hot breakfast, the variety of items was every bit as good. Highly recommend the Seafoam Lodge.

This location is an old favorite with spectacular views of the ocean, walking access to Buckhorn Cove, and just a few minutes’ drive to Albion or Mendocino. The manager had many excellent suggestions on where to eat.

Seafoam Lodge is a nice place for the price in a wonderful coastal region. Guessing all rooms have ocean views. Location is a couple miles south of the town of Mendocino.

Beautiful location off Hwy 1, just South of Mendocino. Rooms have been beautifully renovated, and staff (Dan and Heidi) were very friendly and accommodating!

This place is amazing. Old time lodge feel but updated nicely with clean and beautiful rooms and a really nice view. Just a few mins from downtown Mendocino. Highly recommended!

I booked this location based on the stellar reviews, which were very accurate. This is a great place to stay and enjoy. It is a few miles from the little town so not real walkable.

Property is in a great location with a view of the sunset over the ocean. Close to Van Damme State Park.

Stayed one night at this pleasant motel. Check in was easy and friendly. Room was clean, with and excellent view and within earshot of the ocean waves. Pastries, yogurt, coffee, etc set out at 8am. Within 5 miles of Mendocino or Albion dining options north or south.

Seafoam lodge is a wonderful place to stay. It is very tranquil, the rooms are comfortable and very artfully decorated. It is a place where you can truly rest and relax. In addition, the concierge team is fantastic, kind and helpful. Last but not least, I did not expect breakfast, but it was included, and it was quite good! A wonderful experience, I would go back to Seafoam Lodge again if I travel in the area again.

Loved everything about this lovely lodge. Highly recommended! (The only minor bump was that breakfast didn’t start until 8am, and the room coffee was a bit of a struggle to figure out.)

Fast, friendly check-in by Thomas. Nice interior decor and very clean. Complimentary continental breakfast was a very nice perk.

The room was lovely and clean, and management was happy to provide extra towels when we needed them. The complimentary breakfast bar was fruit, toast, bagels, muffins, and there was a drink fridge with yogurt, sodas, and juice. I liked that the drink fridge was complimentary until 10am and I could buy one for $1 the rest of the day. I went with my mother and sister for a girls' trip and found parking to be adequate but would have liked more handicap reserved spaces as there was only 1 and it was at an EV charging station. There was a ramp with a manageable incline though which was wonderful and with requesting it in advance, we were able to secure a ground level unit. The back patio with adirondack chairs looking over the ocean was splendid though I wish it hadn't been so foggy until our last day when the sun came out. Not the lodge's fault though! That's what we get for traveling in winter haha

I came for a girls trip. I felt very safe and comfortable here. The balcony was so cute and a great view. The beds were comfy. The breakfast in the morning was yummy (basic but plenty - the muffins were phenomenal). We brought our doggies and it was such a dog friendly place with big beautiful grounds to walk on. They even gave us a cute dog box with a towel, treats, a water bowl and a toy my dog loved. We saw deer on the property as well. The walls are pretty thin but that didn't bother us. I will definitely come back.
