We had a short stay here over a holiday weekend. Check-in was fine. The subsequent stay was less than satisfactory. Both elevators were out of service. Night staff at the desk told us to take the stairs to our floor. There were no doors in the stairwell to access the floors, it went directly to the top floor. The desk staff argued with me that the stairs accessed the floors - when I asked if she had ever been up the stairs I was told “I don’t go up stairs”. My husband who uses a cane was forced to climb several flights of stairs unnecessarily. At no point did she ever offer any assistance in getting to our floor beyond vaguely pointing across the lobby to another set of stairs. The following day when we returned to our room neither of the electronic keys worked so we had to return to the lobby to have them re-issued. I do not think we would stay here again.

Hotel bedrooms were clean. Property seems in an abandoned state outside the rooms. First floor has a completely abandoned large restaurant in plain view and probably not used for a long time.* months and maybe years. The price was relatively high but we booked the room there because of good reviews online and supposedly it has a gym and a pool. Both the gym and the pool are out of use and the room price and the website weren't adjusted although those amenities are likely never available or in function.

The room was a decent size and very clean. I asked if I could see it first and was told I couldn't but I could change rooms later if needed. It worked out. The lobby is pretty. There is a restaurant in the lobby. There's a bar downstairs. We were here on a Wednesday night so it was quiet. The bed was comfortable. Love the area next to the lake/ river with a beautiful park nearby called Lakeview. The pool was warm. I was told the hot tub was under reconstruction but it literally is gone... there's just a floor there now. Staff was polite. Not overly friendly but nice. I gave it an okay because there seemed to be some disorganization. Being told the hot tub had been under construction. The pool door was locked so we had to upstairs and ask about it. Not any big issue.Elevators work fine but one is closed.

Overall great stay and hotel. Nice location right near the lake. Only complaint is the elevator floor surfaces SEVERELY need to be replaced. Each elevator ride is a putrid malodorous experience management needs to address more effectively than frequent febreeze spray downs. Outside of this the rest of the hotel is very clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The combo washer/dryers aren't very good so don't count on efficient laundry but this could be why laundry isn't listed on the list of emenities so this is a note more than a complaint.

We arrived and staff was not helpful-and not often at the desk to ask for help. We found dirty black womans underwear at 11 am on the lobby sofa-staff had not seen it. On the last morning while packing up the car we found vomit right outside the front door. For that much money, highly disappointed and wouldn’t recommend. Very dirty and lack of care from staff.

This was an ok stay. I wouldn't go back for an extended stay. We were passing thru and stayed 1 night and that was enough! It took a long time for someone to even show up to the desk. They had a phone out that said to call for service, we did that with no answer. Finally we got checked in and then we left to find some food, it looked like there was a restaurant at the hotel but it didn't look open. No one was around to inquire about it. The shower was stained and visibly dirty, like a drink had been thrown in the shower and never cleaned up. No hands soap and no extra toilet paper. The mattress was pretty lumpy and old. I don't recommend

Hotel looks recently renovated and in excellent shape. Rooms are spacious and clean. Really liked the bedding as it was clean and comfortable. The hotel has a ton of character and it was a great stay.

The staff were friend and accommodating. The elevator (both) smelled musty. When you enter the lobby, carpet smells musty. Pool can be cleaner (a lot of floating hair on the water. Room was big, beds were comfortable.

My daughter and I were in town for a fishing charter and had a wonderful stay at the Ariel. The hotel staff was very friendly and the food we had at the restaurant was really good as well. Our room was much bigger than I was expecting and the hotel had a very “grand” atmosphere when we walked in…chandelier lighting, very spacious etc. The location couldn’t have been any better for us as our charter destination was only minutes away but seemed to be within a few minutes walk from a lot of different places (restaurants, shopping etc.) I already told my wife if we ever make it back as a family we’re definitely staying here again!

Had booked a "lake view" room, this means in real that you can see the lake a bit far away but for the price of having a four stop crossing street directly in front of your room. Heavy traffic all night long, very very loud, windows without noise protection! In addition the matresses have been absoutely worn out and need to be exchanged.

Overall a very nice no frills stay. Parking was available right at the hotel. Our room was just a little beat up. It had several cosmetic issues. There weren't really any extras with the stay, but we didn't need much other than a place to sleep. Our view happened to be directly into another room, so that wasn't really the ideal.

When we arrived at the hotel, the property was experiencing a complete blackout. Yet, Mike at the front desk helped to get us checked in and escorted us personally to our room. He was very welcoming and helpful. The room was very comfortable and despite the blackout, we had a very pleasant stay.

We switched rooms 3 times because of bad HVAC and a room that hadn't been cleaned since the previous guest. The girl at the front desk was more than accommodating and she eventually got us a room that was satisfactory. My complaint is with the manager the next morning. When I brought these issues to her attention, she shrugged and couldn't have cared less. I used to love this hotel and I've stayed her a few times before. I wouldn't stay again in the future.

The front staff did everything possible to make us happy. I received several calls to reserve a table on the rooftop. I explained several times we will arrive late and was told on the phone thats ok. It was not. We arrived late, no dinner but gave us some free drink coupons. We were told we could eat downstairs in sports bar. We finished drinks watched sunset. Then attempted to find food at sportbar. This is where we were treated aweful by female bartender, she refused to serve us because my husband held the chair for me while i sat down. Apparently this woman mistook chivalry for misconduct and refused to serve us food or drinks. 10pm and we still had not eaten.the woman at the front desk asked the Italian restaurant to make us a quick pizza before it closed.

Service was great and welcoming. Everyone was so welcoming and nice to have conversation with from the greeting at the front desk, to the staff at the restaurant to the ladies that cleaned our room - they could not have been nicer. Great chocolates at Faroh's candies off the lobby and a very quiet hotel. Plenty of places to walk to a few blocks away for other dining options so you don't need your car.

Started off by putting us in a room that was NOT cleaned, I’m talking nasty old food in the fridge, garbage piling over, hairy used towels, then they “upgraded” us to their most expensive suite that was just a pull down kings sized bed with dead bugs on the floor and no TV lol. No discount, compensation etc.

Clean room happy, friendly staff. Great little sports bar on the lower level with very good food. Ran into some bad weather so it was great to be able to stay inside the hotel and have a place to have fun and get good eats.

We stayed in a double room with 2 queen beds for 2 nights on the third floor with lake view. The room had not been cleaned super well, you could see hairs and dust in the corners and on the floor. We had 2 large bath towels for 2 adults and 2 kids. The room was noisy as it was right next to a bigger street with lots of traffic during the day. The windows were not keeping the noise out. The pool was warm, which we loved and we had it to ourselves. As for the breakfast, we cannot recommend it. Coffee was watery, no milk, just cream. The scrambled eggs tasted very strange. Would not return to eat here. Thankfully, the hotel is close to other coffee shops and a few restaurants, so there are alternatives.

Great Staff, the room was a throwback with modern furniture... It's not the tallest hotel the area is dead after 8:30pm as far as food, even the in-house restaurant. There's nothing worse than getting to a hotel at 9 or 10 and you're hungry and they can't even provide you a sandwich to get you through the night but 8:30? Breakfast only on Friday and the weekends.

It was an ok stay - nothing great but nothing bad. We were attending an event in the hotel so it was the convenience that was most important. It was clean but our room could have used a coat of fresh paint - lots of scuffs on the walls. We had a room overlooking one of the streets and it could get a bit noisy. There was no included breakfast and the restaurant in the hotel didn’t open until mid morning which was too late for us and a disappointment.
