Green Marmot Capsule Hotel Zürich

the Capsule is great design. A nice quiet place to rest in such expensive city like Zurich. The washroom and shower facilities is sufficient to clean up. The locker is nice and spacious for backpackers. I would come to the place again if I ever visit Zurich.

Everything was good but the shower are small.

There is no parking in downtown Zurich. This caused a major problem. There's also nowhere to pull in, so you can't drop off bags. I feel like people should be given a warning beforehand so they can start looking for garage parking lots nearby. Also no ac, so place was very hard to sleep in.

It was a 2 night trip. it is ok just for sleep, nothing else. it is missing an area to sit inside, like a Livingroom or something, at least a couch. Having a common microwave will be great, and a table, because there is no place to eat. The capsule was clean and it has all necessary. Nothing more.

While there is nothing outright dishonest in the description or photos, they really don\'t do a very good job explaining what it\'s actually like to stay here. The experience is a lot closer to a hostel than a hotel, and even judged as a hostel, this place is severely lacking in amenities. The "capsules" are really nothing more than claustrophobic bunks. There are over 50 bunks in a single room. This means that your chances of not having a sorer in your room are basically zero. The only common space in the entire place is the lobby, which is very sparsely furnished. If all the lobby chairs are taken, you have nowhere to sit down but your capsule, where you have to be extremely quite because again, 50 bunks in one room so odds are no matter the time somebody\'s sleeping. There are no tables or desks available for guests to use. The bathrooms were very hot and humid, and a single pair of male and female bathrooms serves all 50 bunks. The showers don\'t have any dressing area, so you\'re expected to get dressed in the shower stall\'s vestibule, which doesn\'t even have enough room to turn around without stepping into the shower itself. The lockers are all in the lobby, which makes them annoyingly far from the bunks. Compare this to a hostel, where you\'ll often find a common room, and bunks separated into smaller dorms, each with their own bank of lockers and bathroom. Not only that, but a typical hostel will be much cheaper than this capsule "hotel".

Area is close to everything. A cheap reasonable place to stay if you don’t mind sleeping in a capsule. The only flaws are; not a one table to eat something, no microwave. No common area to sit and eat. Very basic. I don’t mind coz it’s affordable and close to everything that’s about it

I had a good stay here. You get what you pay for. If you're looking for somewhere just to wash and sleep within Zurich center, this is the place. Toilets and showers were clean with good hot water. Only thing this place lacks is a good communal area, there is no where to hang out

Muito bem localizado, entretanto o fato dos armários não serem no quarto deixa um pouco a desejar. A parte do banho também não é muito grande. Entretanto disponibilizam toalhas e secador de cabelo gratuitamente.

The capsules are private so i liked that - showers were very good and plenty of toilets. There are really no common spaces to hang out. A few chairs on patio and few throughout hostel. Was very quiet and mixed aged guests. Zurich itself is amazing and the location of this hostel is superb

There is no receptionist before 2pm and the front door is locked so there’s no way to get in if you arrive before the check-in time - unless another guest is kind enough to open the door for you. The lobby area is almost non-existent and there are no common areas to hang out. No option for luggage storage before or after checkout. The staff are only there until 10pm so after that the washrooms get very dirty until someone comes in for the 2pm shift next day. There is no security or locks other than the main entrance - I booked a women only room and the only thing separating us from the men/unisex dorms is a curtain. There’s no storage space by your bed and the lockers are only in the lobby area which can be pretty far just to go get a change of clothes. Some of the top bunks don’t have handles to hold on to so it makes climbing the ladder and getting up there very difficult. Overall it wasn’t terrible but I wouldn’t want to stay there again. I know it’s a hostel so it’s not supposed to be fancy or anything but I’ve definitely stayed in dorms with cleaner facilities and nicer spaces.

Clean organised and had a really good stay. Bathrooms clean and plenty of towels

The Capsule itself was cool and the noise level was as quiet/loud as expected. The sheets had several holes in it and the showers looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks.

Great location, clean space, near Tram

Quieter than many hostels. Non smoking even at the door. Receptionist was very polite and fast. The capsule is well ventilated and comfy. Bathrooms, showers and sinks are spotless clean and well maintained. I highly recommend.

Bed was fine. Bathroom was a mess. With that many people using one bathroom, it should be cleaned every few hours, not once a day. Someone barfed in the sink. It remained that way for over 12 hours.

It was ok. The beds are comfortable but it’s a hostel and the only separation is a curtain. No security between the men’s /women’s area. You store your bags in a locker in the lobby so it feels like you’re doing the walk of shame just to brush your teeth. The room area smells pungent and like dirty socks. The bathroom is rough and not in the best of conditions. No soap and mold in the showers. Very tiny dressing area. Not my favorite hostel for $60/night but it is what it is for 12 hours between trains.

La ubicación es perfecta. El lugar es cómodo. Hay toallas limpias disponibles en el área de regadera. Solo les falta mejorar en la limpieza

Bodde på detta kapsel hotell som låg i Gamla stan och strandpromenaden låg tvärs över gatan så läget var perfekt. Checkade in dagen innan och skulle få kapsel nummer och kod till dörren skickat till mig på inchecknings dagen men det missade dom så fick köa ganska länge men det var det enda som inte funkade. Stället var ljust, rent och kapseln likaså. Rymlig, skön madrass men hade önskat att draperiet täckte lite mer. Badrum och toalett var rena. Jag tror också att man måste vara tydligare med att man sover bara där och därför måste visa lite mer hänsyn. Skulle absolut bo här igen

I hear the creak of bed every time somebody rolls over on the bed. In addition, It is close to bar or something so that I can hear the screaming of drunken people untill late at night. So, I couldn't sleep at all.

Ein Teil der Kapselbetten, darunter meins hat bei jeder kleinsten Bewegung geknarrt und gequietscht und meine Nachtruhe war dadurch deutlich beeinträchtigt. Der Check Inn war sehr freundlich.

Great location and easy to get to by tram. Comfy beds and blankets. The beds had privacy curtains and a nice light to use/outlet to use while in bed. Very glad I chose to stay here! The shower had great water pressure and there was plenty of space to change in/put my stuff in after getting out!

Kapseln haben eine gute Größe, man kann aufrecht drin sitzen, kleine Fächer, ein ausziehbares Tischchen, Steckdose vorhanden. Matratze ist gut, Bettwäsche wird gestellt, ebenso Handtücher . Diese sollte man sich aber am Abend vorhrr mit in die Kapsel nehmen, machen scheinbar alle und wenn man es nicht tut hat man kein Handtuch. Kapsel hat einen Vorhang, wer es gerne dunkel mag nimmt am Besten eine Schlafbrille mit. Das mache ich übrigens in jedem Hotel so. Kaffeemaschine vorhanden, heißes Wasser, Tee und Zucker sind kostenlos. Snackautomat mit guter Auswahl ist ebenfalls vorhanden.

The pods were surprisingly roomy however the womens only room

Good for a short stay, amazing location. Capsules don't fully close like some other "capsule" hotel, it's a curtain but it was a good night still.

I stayed in the Women's only section which I thought would be behind a locked door, but rather was a curtained off section of the main room. I wish the lockers had been in the room rather than having to go out to the lobby area to grab my stuff each time, but it felt safe. I do wish there was someone at reception at all times, to give suggestions or help when needed.

Très propre et ambiance très neutre. Par contre agencement très étrange dans la pièce des capsules. Déjà, il y a une caméra pille au centre de la pièce (on se demande pourquoi quoi faire); les "marches" des lits sont dangereuses, il n'y à aucun endroit où se tenir pour montrer où descendre; le espaces sont seulement séparés par un rideau et tout le monde peut s'entendre car aucune cloison entre les espaces; balcon non fumeur mais une personne s'est mise à fumer et l'odeur rentrait dans la pièce; l'accueil pas terrible, aucun sourire, presque pas de bonjour et alors des explications très floues et données vite fait. Finalement, pour conclure, le code que l'on m'a donné pour entrer dans le bâtiment le soir n'était pas le bon malgré plusieurs essais, j'ai appelé le numéro et la personne qui m'a répondu au téléphone me répond sèchement que le check-in se fait avant 22h, alors même que je lui explique que je l'ai fait déjà à 14h et que le code qu'ils m'ont donné ne marchait pas. C'est vraiment n'importe quoi. Trois points positifs: très bien localisé, lit confortable, propreté dans les salles de bains.

No-frills, basic accomodation, but was fine. I was a bit upset that the women's dor. Was separated by the main dorm by only a curtain. It should have been a separate room. The staff was really nice and very helpful!

Staff were not welcoming at all and did not explain anything to me about the property or rules. Then before checkout I was in my bed with shoes in front of the bed, clearly visible and the housekeeping staff yanked open the curtain. It was an okay stay but the staff made it uncomfortable.

It is a capsule hotel and as such, I was not looking for the last word in luxury but Green Marmot still managed to excel with wonderful staff who were friendly and accomodating. I was there for just one night. Everything was clean. The shower cubicles are small but sufficient and towels are supplied. The cubicles are plywood which is nicer than the plastic ones I have seen in the past. Aside from a light, there was also a power point to charge my phone. The mattress was adequate and linen clean. The foyer had a coffee machine that accepted cards or cash and the coffee was quite passable.

Clean property with good staff

More like a hostel than hotel, no shampoo and soap in showers. Website wasn’t informative. Can only check in at 2pm, even though the beds are made; no one at reception before 2pm. Bad reviews won’t hurt business. People only stay 1-2 nights max. I would base in Lucerne and stay in Capsule Hotel-Chapter Lucerne. Everything is way better than Green Marmot.

Near Restaurant and shopping and trains and buses

Es una gran opción para viajeros que solo buscamos pasar la noche y descansar 1-2 días máximo. Claro que eventualmente se vuelve algo limitado en cubrir otras necesidades. Pero me encantó que esté muy céntrico y fácil de acceder.

The bed was comfortable and clean. Check in was simple and the storage lockers had plenty of space. The shower and toilets were roomy with hardly anyone crammed on top of each other. This hostel is no frills. No bar or common area to mingle with others. It’s perfect for a place to sleep without friends. The provided towels are small. There is a towel drying rack available to use.

Great stay! would recommend getting some tables in the common area.
