Great location, check in is extremely slow!!! Kitchen staff is not nice. You cannot choose breakfast, but they do it for you and sure thing they do not give you more even if you ask. The breakfast area does not have air conditioning, so it is hot and stuffy. Elevator is very slow. The rooftop pool is nice and shallow.

Dear Team, Our stay was disappointing. The pool, the main reason for booking for ladies aged 70+, was under maintenance without prior notice. The valet service took 20-30 minutes to deliver cars. Additionally, when retrieving the remaining luggage, the front desk left one suitcase and a backpack behind, forcing us to call an Uber just before our flight, causing significant stress and showing a lack of care. It's a fairly recently refurbished historic hotel in South Beach. The rooms are nice enough, it's very centrally located, and we very much appreciated the included breakfast. It is starting to look a little tattered around the edges, though. One gets the sense that they spent a bunch of money at one time redoing, and have now just sort of left it to generate revenue, ignoring the fact that stuff like carpet wears out more quickly than other things. It was also a huge bummer that the pool was closed for repairs throughout our stay. I'd chalk this up to unfortunate happenstance, except that it appears from other reviews that the pool has actually been closed for weeks at this point. We did receive a last minute email notifying us of this, but only a day or two before or arrival. And even then the message we received indicated the necessary repairs would be completed the day before we arrived, which didn't turn out to be the case.

The hotel doesn't have any other food stations other than breakfast. The pool is very small and a little dirty; the floor around the pool is very slippery. Staff are very friendly and professional. Especially Mike the bartender. If you want a place to shower and sleep only, that is the place.

Evening welcome drinks, good breakfast all included, as is 2 bottles of water a day. Valet available but only 1 block from a parking garage left from the hotel on 13th at $20 max day. Nice mexican restaurant with happy hour 2 for 1. Small Roof top pool.

The website for the hotel will tell you parking is $35 a night. I was being haggled by the valet and playing game with me with the pricing. They said since I have a large vechicle (std SUV) it will be $40 dollar a day for cash pay if credit card I would be charge $45 day because of tax. I asked the hotel front desk and he told me they are not affiliated with the hotel but the hotel site will say parking is $35 valet and never mention about price difference since j had a SUV. I didn’t want to ruin my trip and continue to argue I just paid and please be aware valet take 20 mins to get your vehicle, so plan ahead and call 20 mins in advance. Also, coming back to the hotel expect to wait for a valet for another 20 mins to take your car to park.

The hotel was a let down because it didn't match the pictures. Our "penthouse" was small, its furniture and bathroom were old/tired/worked, and it looked out on a tiny alleyway. The valet parking is $45/day and its not actually affiliated with the hotel. Its just an umbrella down the street (and you need to find a temporary parking spot to wait for the valet guy since he is often gone parking cars). The pool is not actually in this hotel, but in its sister hotel next door. We feel tricked on this place. Next time we will pay more and not take a risk on a place like this. I'm surprised to say this because the reviews all seemed pretty good here. The location is great, the beach was beautiful.

We wanted to love this hotel but unfortunately had numerous issues/complaints. - On Expedia it mentions breakfast is included, when checking in I was told this isn't correct and was forced to pay a $116 charge for 3 days. - We found a live cockroach in the shower on our second day. - Bar tender in the lobby and pool staff were rude. - The bathrooms next to the bar lock at 9pm so you need to go up to your room to use the bathroom. - The pool is a little deceiving and is located in a neighboring building. - The hotel room bathroom has no counter space for getting ready and the main living area is missing a mirror.

We were greeted by Henry at the front desk, he was the sweetest! Most helpful person I encountered in my entire visit to Miami. He gave you all the information you needed plus some. He was attending multiple people at once so noone was waiting for a simple request. When we got to the room I did notice they did not sweep throughout the room but for the most part it smelled really clean and sanitized. We were about 3 minutes from a Starbucks, dinning options, and the beach.

Coupons for drinks were only limited to certain drinks but that was not explained until after they give you the drinks so you have to pay for them Room was cleaned only 1 time out of 4 nights and I had to keep asking Towels are old and horrible. Love the hotel, good size room and staff was amazing! Only thing is there was trouble with the air conditioning the first day and they advise it was getting fixed but it didn’t. We ended up switching rooms our second day and got the air conditioning working.

The staff is very nice. The breakfast is great. The 2 Queen bed double room for 4 adults that we got was small. Not enough place to hang clothes and towels. Nowhere to open up your suitcase, My suggestion is to put up plenty of hooks on the emty walls in the room, that would help a lot.

Ac was out in our room. They installed what’s suppose to be ac unit, but only warm air blew out of it. In order to hook up that unit, they had to close shut balcony door making not usable to use balcony so all out wet clothes we were forced to put in restroom making a mess everywhere. We mentioned it early in the day to desk clerk, said he would take care of it but didn’t. Later we went back and mentioned it and same clerk stated I wish I knew sooner to swap you. What? I told him at 11 am. So they said they would give us a fan. It was a personal small fan you put on office desk. Very disappointing. Let him know not a very good stay, he apologized but said to put in review. We were not accommodated for anything

So first off location was good action is really down like 4-5 blocks but not bad. Hotel room is very small it is outdated the pictures don’t match the room at all, there were a couple of broke pieces of furniture as well as a lot of rust. We were greeted she was polite the only one! Customer service was not it Michael was very rude and nasty!! The pool was located in the sister hotel the pool was very tiny the pool towels were thin and like a wash rag. Elevator was slow can’t fit no more than 3 people!! I would not stay here again personally!!

PROS:: You get what you pay for!!! Reasonably priced, Great location, Clean rooms and common areas, Beds were comfy, Refrigerator in room, Hot breakfast included, and Most of the staff were kind and helpful CONS:: You get what you pay for!!! The walls are LITERALLY paper thin to the point you can hear your neighbor snoring all night, Configuration of the room is horrible, When entering the door almost hits the foot of the bed, The bathroom is ridiculously tiny because the space in the room is used for a walk-in closet, Even the bathroom door that wouldn't close completely is tiny, The bathroom sink needed to be unclogged and I'm sure housekeeping was aware of that, Housekeeping must be requested and we requested 5 times in a single day before the room was semi-cleaned after 6pm (the floor needed to be swept because it was covered with sand from the beach that's in walking distance. so we used beach towels and wiped the floor ourselves), There's NO microwave in the room or common area to heat/reheat food which is neccessary when traveling with babies/toddlers, and lastly, At times the lobby which also serves as the dining room was LITERALLY, packed wall to wall with people checking-in and out and standing in line to get breakfast, at the bar, etc., so there seemed to be more people than available space OVERALL, there are too many hotels in the area to succumb to the PROS of this establishment. This was a first and LAST for me.

Hotel stay was fine. We just had issues getting the tv to work and the bathroom door to close properly. We called and they said they would send a maintenance worker, but hey they never came! The smell in the lobby is very strong, not bad, but just EVERYWHERE. Breakfast is mid, with wet eggs and bland food. It is supposed to be buffet style but God forbid I get more than two strips of bacon lard. Also, the juice was room temperature. Last but not least, where the hell is the coffee.

Great, central location, comfortable beds, really good breakfast. I greatly appreciated the water bottles, helpful staff, and welcome cocktail. Henry at the checkin desk was super helpful and friendly as were all the staff we interacted with. They were able to store our luggage when we arrived in the morning and again after checkin until we left for our late afternoon flight. Very quaint, charming property. Good value in South Beach.

Front desk check in was terrible. Billing summary after booking showed I paid the resort fee and then I had to pay it again. My friends and I booked together and one of us got booked in the main hotel while the other got booked in the sister hotel. Elevators are very slow common areas very dirty. First continental breakfast I have ever been to where they limit your food. Overall bad experience will never book again.

We had 24 hours in Miami before leaving on a cruise and made the best decision to spend it in South Beach and stay at the President Hotel! Not new but super clean property. Welcome drink at the hotel bar upon arrival. Rooftop pool. Just one block walk to Ocean Blvd where there are dozens of hotels/restaurants/bars includingThe Carlyle (the movie Birdcage). We had a great time walking Ocean Blvd, sidewalk seating for drinks and dinner, walk on Miami Beach. Would definitely stay here again!

The president hotel was perfect for our 1 night stay before leaving for a cruise. It is walking distance to the beach and in a prime restaurant location. The hotel itself has a lot of modern character to it, mainly in the lobby and rooms. The hallways getting to the rooms could use an upgrade and some AC, but other than that I think this hotel is pretty great!!

We've just been during spring break, so this has probably coloured my view a little. Check in was good, with a voucher provided for a cocktail. I was aware of the so called resort fee at c$30 per person and know they aren't the only hotel charging this, however I don't think it's right to charge a fee for hotel basics such as towels and use of pool etc, include it in the nightly rate if you must!! We were in room 302, which had a balcony and sunbeds. Bed was comfortable and nice smart TV. It's frustrating not to have tea and coffee facilities in the room, no coffee machine etc and no coffee on offer at reception, other than at breakfast time. None of the ice machines were working in the hotel, though of course you could get ice at the bar, when it was manned. Breakfast was chaotic on the first day, with a long line. You have to queue to be served and take everything you want in a one time only visit. The eggs were sloppy and not very hot. There was no decaff coffee option at breakfast, which I think is a basic requirement, I did ask and was told no. A lot of money for an OK stay. Location was good.

On a previous visit in April this year, there were never bananas at breakfast, again this happened this holiday. I went to Walgreens and purchased my own. What really annoyed me was that if someone asked for four bananas they could have them. They ordered in two boxes/day. Also staff serving “secreted” bananas for themselves just under the counter!!! We have seen a decline in what’s offered for breakfast over the years, the cereal provided is now cheap and nasty. I have mentioned this to the hotel for them to deal with. My other point was cleaning of rooms. This isn’t every day which didn’t bother me, but being missed on your cleaning day and having to wait over two hours for someone to do it was poor service. The barman provided an excellent service even when extremely busy, Kevin was his friendly self again and he works extremely hard doing many different jobs. The ladies serving behind the breakfast counter could be friendlier to guests.

It was beautifully located near the beach with a clear path from the hotel to the beach. It truly only took about 5 minutes to walk to the beach. There was a nice variety of shopping and eating places within walking distance. The breakfast was especially good for a continental breakfast. There was more bacon, ham, eggs, potatoes, and waffles than I expected. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our stay was pleasant.
