This is a beautiful, friendly, safe hotel right on Highway 35. The room was impecably clean, plenty of shower/towels/soaps/coffee for in room coffee maker. Bed was super comfortable. Room was very clean. Ice was bagged in the freezer on the bottom floor with plastic utensils and lots of napkins. Cutely decorated in a farm/country motif. Plenty of parking, close to everything. I would have stayed longer if there had been a room available. Will stay again for sure. No breakfast of any kind provided, but the coffee maker in the room had plenty of coffee packets and a microwave downstairs.

We enjoyed this property as it was close to the PNC. Only disappointments were no ice on demand … they make up baggies of ice. No coffee in the morning .

My wife could not stop saying " This place is adorable!". It really is. We throughly enjoyed our stay there and are already planning our next stay when we are in the area. Our only complaint was the elevator was out of service.☹️

The Country Inn was beautiful. Heard from staff it is only 3 years old. It is very, very well kept. Our room was spacious for the two of us. Bed was very comfortable. Amenities in bathroom for very nice. Great choice in coffee 👍. The little individual bags of ice in big ice chest in lobby were perfect size. Refrigerator in room was perfect size for cream for coffee, waters, etc 👍 The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I’m not one for country decor but the Inn was also beautifully decorated. Definitely will stay again when back in the area.

Hostess was sweet, room was very clean except for spider webs and spider in corner of ceiling. Perfume smell was so strong I had to keep windows open until I went to bed. I’m assuming this is their idea of a clean smell… my eyes started burn and I got a headache from smell. Awful. I only closed windows because I was on 1st floor right next to parking lot. Also had to keep curtains closed - no natural light - because there was zero privacy. Walls are PAPER thin. No carpeting, so noise is even louder. Don’t expect a quiet night’s sleep. Busy location.

The hotel has a very high rating. I was sceptical when I arrived. The staff were very friendly, the place was spotless, and the decorations were homey and inviting. The room was also clean and comfortable. I travel quite often for medical treatments, and will say unequivocally that I wish all of my treatments were near here. The proper rating for this hotel is 12 out of 10.

Family owned and it shows. You feel like family the whole time. The entire property is immaculate. Easy access to the highways and restaurants and shopping. Easy to get to the beaches. Keyport is just up the road.

We chose this hotel as a convenient last stop of a 7-day trip to NYC, Washington and Cape May before our flight home (it's <1h drive from JFK). The hotel looks brand new, and for this reason, everything is clean and immaculate. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The downside is noise: it's close to a busy road, and even with double pane windows, the car/truck noise was bothersome. We could also hear the neighbors next door, indicating that the walls are fairly thin. There are also no good dining choices in the neighborhood, and you'd need to drive 501-mns to a restaurant. Given the room rate, we were still overall happy with our stay.

The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas. We stayed 4 nights there. Our room was very comfortable, nice and big. Parking available and no problems with finding the space. Staff was very responsive and friendly. They were helpful with cleaning our car from the thick layer of snow.

This is an older hotel that has been nicely updated. Staff are all very friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the building is not well soundproofed. Pipes from upstairs rooms Ryan through our walls and were noisy.

The walls are paper thin. We could hear the conversation the people in the next room were having and they were speaking at a regular volume. They stayed up all night so this was very frustrating. We could also hear anyone who was in the hallway. The room was very clean and the staff was nice. So that was good.

We sold our house in the same neighborhood and we are in the process of moving. It is a convenient place for us to walk there to stay for the night. Everything is nice and clean. The only thing is the walls are not sound proof, you can hear the next door talking. My brother said it was too noisy because he hears the cars running on the highway 35.

Very nice property. Wasn't happy to get a call from the front desk after arriving to my room, that we needed to be quiet. We were not even in the room 10 minutes. I am a 61 year old woman , traveling with my grown son. I think the man at front desk could have been patient. We were not having a party.

My cousin and I were traveling for a few days to celebrate our birthdays. Nick, the owner called in the evening after he got a reservation to Hotels.com to check and see what time we were coming to check in. When we got there, Dan at the front desk was very nice a little confused though… But he figured it out. In the morning Marlene was very helpful and checking us out. All Hotel representatives went above and beyond to the point of getting us our luggage cart and telling us, we could leave it in a convenient place.

My fiance and I stayed here recently for my birthday I was celebrating in nearby Keyport. My cousin and her husband also stayed here. While the hotel was very nice, adorable and the owner Nick was great at check in when we got back to the hotel at 10:45pm there was someone working the night desk who told us to be quiet as we walked in the hall because people were sleeping. We were talking at a normal level. Then we all went to our hotel room and were talking and sitting nothing crazy as i'm 47 and my fiance is 45. My cousin and her husband are in their 40's as well. The night manager then followed us to the room and knocked on our door and told us to be quiet again. It was very awkward and uncomfortable being that we were just talking. I believe there was only one other person we saw staying a the hotel as the parking lot was empty and the walls are so thin we heard him snoring loudly all night. With the rude night manager making it so uncomfortable and treating us like loud teenagers I don't think we will be staying there again.

The Country Inn of Hazlet was a nice surprise for me when my sister booked it for a family party in NJ. The place is adorable w all the nostalgia and folksy decor, and the rooms are modern and recently renovated. A hotshot for tea/coffee in every room plus a nice frig. Parking is convenient and easy access to main roads. I definitely recommend it and the price was right too.

We chose this hotel as a convenient last stop of a 7-day trip to NYC, Washington and Cape May before our flight home (it's <1h drive from JFK). The hotel looks brand new, and for this reason, everything is clean and immaculate. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The downside is noise: it's close to a busy road, and even with double pane windows, the car/truck noise was bothersome. We could also hear the neighbors next door, indicating that the walls are fairly thin. There are also no good dining choices in the neighborhood, and you'd need to drive 501-mns to a restaurant. Given the room rate, we were still overall happy with our stay.

It’s a little diamond in the rough. It’s a lovely property in a very busy intersection of several busy roads which actually makes it quite convenient.

Easy to find, great parking, very helpful staff. Extremely clean, fresh and the bed very comfortable. Had everything we needed and the in-room coffee was very good. Great Americana decor! Would return in a heart beat.

Family owned and it shows. You feel like family the whole time. The entire property is immaculate. Easy access to the highways and restaurants and shopping. Easy to get to the beaches. Keyport is just up the road.

This is a beautiful, friendly, safe hotel right on Highway 35. The room was impecably clean, plenty of shower/towels/soaps/coffee for in room coffee maker. Bed was super comfortable. Room was very clean. Ice was bagged in the freezer on the bottom floor with plastic utensils and lots of napkins. Cutely decorated in a farm/country motif. Plenty of parking, close to everything. I would have stayed longer if there had been a room available. Will stay again for sure. No breakfast of any kind provided, but the coffee maker in the room had plenty of coffee packets and a microwave downstairs.

I read good reviews for this property so decided to stay here when visiting family. I am happy to say the good reviews were all true! In addition to being reasonable in price, the room was spacious, comfortable, very clean, with cute country decor. Staff was very nice. I liked the fact that it was a small inn, and not one of the large chains - it was very quiet (except for some traffic noise from the nearby highway which can't be helped.) This place served our needs very well and I'm already planning to stay here next time. The only drawback is there is no food - you need to go out for all meals - but that is not a big deal.

We had the loveliest time at this adorable country house! The staff at the front desk were so friendly and the rooms had such a precious ambiance. Rooms were pristine. It felt like a cozy countryside bed and breakfast, and there's even an IHOP just a skip away. The bed was super comfortable and the decor was delightful, complete with a wrap around porch. My husband and I had an amazing stay and would absolutely recommend this place to others.

At check-in, Nick was very friendly and very helpful. The restaurant he referred us to - complete with his directions - was top-notch with helpful and friendly employees. We went to his recommended "classic New Jersey" diner for breakfast and also had a great meal. I also got the back story of the beautiful collection of model classic cars that were on display. All-in-all, a very good experience.

We had a wedding nearby and needed a place to stay for the night. I found the Country Inn on Hotels.com, read the reviews and knew right off that we would enjoy our stay there. The hotel is bright and cheerful and reminds you of hotels of the past but with all of today's modern conveniences. Our stay was only for one night. If we ever return to the area we will definitely stay here again.

The Country Inn was beautiful. Heard from staff it is only 3 years old. It is very, very well kept. Our room was spacious for the two of us. Bed was very comfortable. Amenities in bathroom for very nice. Great choice in coffee 👍. The little individual bags of ice in big ice chest in lobby were perfect size. Refrigerator in room was perfect size for cream for coffee, waters, etc 👍 The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I’m not one for country decor but the Inn was also beautifully decorated. Definitely will stay again when back in the area.

My wife was extremely surprised and excited about all of the pictures, quilts plus antiques on each of the floors and stairwells and in the rooms. My only comment relates to elderly safety in the bathroom that was in our room with there be no safety handles in the shower / tub.
