Fab hotel, near everything and was made to feel valued as a customer. Room we had was in its own little turret, so had more one either side or above as on the top floor, had 2 floors within as well so plenty of space and you could literally walk out and sit in the jacuzzi or at the bar within a few steps. Bar staff were brilliant and live music is on every other night. Perfect choice would 100% recommend

Fantastic stay at Hotel Michelangelo. Great location, staff were amazing before and during our stay, room was spacious and aircon was ideal. Room was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. Rooftop jacuzzi was just the ticket after a day of sightseeing and the bar on the 5th floor was perfect - drinks selection, service and views. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Very fairly priced hotel in the centre of Sorrento, within a 15 minute walk from the Port, although it’s always easier going down lol. The staff were very friendly and engaging, they have a nice rooftop pool for anyone wanting to soak up the sun and relax, as downtime from all the sight seeing.

We loved our stay at Hotel Michelangelo! Close walking distance to the main piazza but far enough to where it’s much more quiet and peaceful. Our room was spacious and clean with lots of amenities. The two rooftop terraces and ground floor pool were perfect for relaxing during the day. Breakfast in the hotel had many options of great quality. Would recommend!

Hotel is rated as 4star but it is not. It is a 2.5-3 star at best. Weird layout where the pool is on floor 1 but towel and drinks on are on 5th floor. Broken mirror in room, sink stoppers not working, great selection of breakfast hot and cold. Coffee is awful! Coffee machine seems to have fresh beans but I could not hear grinding or anything like it. Regular coffee and cappuccino tastes like powdered coffee - instant Nescafe??

All staff were very attentive. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the sunshine. Breakfast was a lovely selection. Hotel reception was more than helpful and the bar service was great too with a great view.

Fantastiska 4 nätter på detta hotell. Ligger perfekt med 5-7 minuters gångavstånd till huvuddelen av stan. Massvis med mysiga restauranger och butiker. 10 minuter till havet. 3 pooler att välja på. Plan 6 finns en stor bubbelpool, uteduschar med utsikt över havet. Plan 5 har en fantastisk bar med utsikt över vesuvius och havet. Stora fina rena och fräscha rum. Städningen var topp! Receptionen hjälpte oss att boka taxi ner till hamnen när vi skulle ta en båt till vårt nästa boeende. Kan varmt rekommendera!

Overall, my stay was excellent, the breakfast options were fantastic and the rooftop terrace was great. One thing that could change was the operating hours for the pool and jacuzzi, closing at six in the evening was not convenient to guests.

The Hotel was VERY nice, just as represented in their photos. They have a very large and accommodating ‘western’ style breakfast buffet with lots of options. The pool Bar had nightly live entertainment until 11:00-11:30 pm. Staff was excellent. We would definitely stay here again!

Fancy-ish hotel with horrible rooms. The bed was too soft, the pillows too thick, the drawer of the night table was full of garbage and had not been cleaned, no place to hang a towel in the bathroom, breakfast was meh with coffee and capuccino made by an automatic machine not a barista... Very expensive hotel that didn't provide even a complimentary bottle of water. When I arrived in my room I found "complimentary" cookies - were the dry pastries offered to force you to open and drink a small bottle of water for the cost of 3 euros? I notified the desk about the dirty night table. You'd expect an apology, perhaps a bottle of water on the house... nope, nada. Employees were rude, too. I thought I had left my key at the desk walking out of the hotel because it's something I always do. When I got back at night I approached the desk saying my name and the room number. The porter replied "And what do you want from me? (E cosa vorrebbe da me)?" Trust me, he wasn't funny. For the money I spent, I would have expected better service.

Clean property close to the train and bus station. We were checked in right away (which was nice as we were tired from the trip) and placed in a "large", renovated room, away from the main street and the train tracks (but please know some of the rooms in this hotel are dated and overlook active train tracks. Our friends were placed in these rooms which was an unpleasant surprise). Unfortunately, from the moment we walked into our room we identified that the toilet was not working properly. We informed the front desk and the cleaning staff multiple times, but nothing was done about it. Needless to say our entire stay (10 days) we had to be strategic about when to use the toilet, as 2 people could not use it back to back; we had to keep the bathroom window open at all times, as there was an on and off sewerage smell; and had to listen to the toilet running non-stop (I guess this was extra motivation to not spend too much time in the room :). Another dissapointment was when we were told that the gift my local friend left for us at the front desk was lost. We did not even receive an apology. We are not sure if we arrived too early in the season (we visited in March which is considered off season) and they not ready for guests, if we simply got unlucky, or the quality of the hotel is not as advertised.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise walking into this hotel. It was more than we expected, room was dated but always very clean so we didn’t mind at all. The staff felt like family by the end of our stay! Incredible central location. I will be recommending this place to anyone staying on the Amalfi coast! Thanks guys!!

We booked our room roughly 10 minutes before arrival, so the only room left was the most affordable room so to say (advertising was extremely clear on what to expect) even then, the room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff were absolutely wonderful to interact with every time and helped us out with questions we had regarding transportation/etc for other things we wanted to do in the area! Would definitely stay again due to the cleanliness, location and most importantly the wonderful hospitality

When we asked the front desk, they couldn’t provide any and said they are not sure where are the irons are since the changes/ renovation! Also bed was make but sheet wasn’t changed. I dropped food crumbs on the bed and the next day crumbs were still there after the bed was made. Overall we had good experience and do recommend this hotel to stay.

Excellent location close to everything you’d want in sorrento. Spacious rooms, the downside is that the building is a bit dated, with very loud AC in the room and not the most comfortable beds.

I was in room 328 and was so small I couldn’t walk around the bed, the curtains wouldn’t draw so I had light in my room all night. I asked if I could please have some milk for my tea and coffee, I had to go downstairs and get it myself from the bar on the rooftop. The room was clean but I don’t think worth the money I paid.

La atención es excelente, el check in no duró más de 5 minutos y siempre fueron todos los de la recepción muy amables. El cuarto era moderno, con una amplia terraza y baño. La ubicación es perfecta y tienes restaurantes y tiendas. Pedimos recomendación para cenar en un lugar no turístico y nos recomendaron uno que estaba muy rico y con una vista a toda la Marina. Volvería sin pensarlo

Overall, excellent value. Bed was a bit too soft for my taste but I was still able to get a good night's rest. There's a bit of a outside noise but that ended about 10:30 pm on Thursday night. Centrally located to everything. Breakfast was very good. I recommend the hotel.

Very good hotel! It was located within minutes of piazza Tasso and the train station. Easy to walk everywhere. Room was very clean and comfortable. The only thing that I was not happy at all was one of the front desk employees. Getting to Sorrento takes you a few hours specially when coming from Milan. When we got there it was around 1:30pm. We know check in it’s not supposed to be until 3pm but in all the hotels I’ve been around the world sometimes the rooms are ready before that time. The front desk lady was rude to us and said to wait outside because the room was not ready yet. If she had said it to us in a different way we would totally understand but she didn’t have manners. Right after the front desk shift, there was another couple right next to us who had the same situation with this lady, and at 2:15 they went and ask the next shift in lobby and they gave us our rooms. I had so say this. However, I was very happy with the hotel and the cleanliness. Breakfast service was very good and overall I would definitely stay here next time I come to Sorrento

Very fairly priced hotel in the centre of Sorrento, within a 15 minute walk from the Port, although it’s always easier going down lol. The staff were very friendly and engaging, they have a nice rooftop pool for anyone wanting to soak up the sun and relax, as downtime from all the sight seeing.

Beautiful and clean property. The room is well kept and nice. The breakfast spread was amazing. The front desk staff need to work on their hospitality. Nobody helped us with moving the luggage in and out of the room . We requested for a blanket for the baby in the night and the staff told us they did not have a single blanket available in the entire hotel and denied to hand out a blanket which was very shocking to us!

We booked our room roughly 10 minutes before arrival, so the only room left was the most affordable room so to say (advertising was extremely clear on what to expect) even then, the room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff were absolutely wonderful to interact with every time and helped us out with questions we had regarding transportation/etc for other things we wanted to do in the area! Would definitely stay again due to the cleanliness, location and most importantly the wonderful hospitality

We had a lovely time at this hotel. Super close to the train station and the main square. Lots of food options steps away. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. They helped book a shuttle to the airport as well as sent us off with a breakfast bag to go since it was so early. Wonderful full breakfast included was a nice bonus! Front desk staff also gave us tips for some really great spots!

The staff was the best. We had reserved seats on our return train trip to Rome. Unfortunately, I made the reservation for the wrong date. A woman at the front desk,(Ana), spent a great deal of time on the phone with different people getting it straight for us. I can’t say enough good things about her. Everyone at the hotel was helpful. I would recommend this hotel to all of my Canadian friends. Thanks again Ana.

We loved our stay at Hotel Michelangelo! Close walking distance to the main piazza but far enough to where it’s much more quiet and peaceful. Our room was spacious and clean with lots of amenities. The two rooftop terraces and ground floor pool were perfect for relaxing during the day. Breakfast in the hotel had many options of great quality. Would recommend!

Fantastiska 4 nätter på detta hotell. Ligger perfekt med 5-7 minuters gångavstånd till huvuddelen av stan. Massvis med mysiga restauranger och butiker. 10 minuter till havet. 3 pooler att välja på. Plan 6 finns en stor bubbelpool, uteduschar med utsikt över havet. Plan 5 har en fantastisk bar med utsikt över vesuvius och havet. Stora fina rena och fräscha rum. Städningen var topp! Receptionen hjälpte oss att boka taxi ner till hamnen när vi skulle ta en båt till vårt nästa boeende. Kan varmt rekommendera!

Our stay was very good. As we arrived they granted us with a room upgrade ( the hotel was not full) We had an issue with our matress that upon request they changed immediately. The hotel is confortable , the italian food we ate at dinner spectacular and the attendants very friendly . I recommend this hotel and if it happens i may stay there again

Hotel is rated as 4star but it is not. It is a 2.5-3 star at best. Weird layout where the pool is on floor 1 but towel and drinks on are on 5th floor. Broken mirror in room, sink stoppers not working, great selection of breakfast hot and cold. Coffee is awful! Coffee machine seems to have fresh beans but I could not hear grinding or anything like it. Regular coffee and cappuccino tastes like powdered coffee - instant Nescafe??

I highly recommend this hotel as it is minutes away from the Sorrento train station, minutes from the airport bus transportation, right in the center of all great shopping and fabulous restaurants. It is 10 minutes walk to the marina for ferries to Amalfi, Positano, Capri etc. Hotel reception staff were helpful, especially Carmen. All of the staff in the breakfast buffet area were so attentive and hospitable. Francesco, the manager and Kolanda are exceptional. Cleaning staff kept our room looking great for 5 nights. Overall, my stay was excellent, the breakfast options were fantastic and the rooftop terrace was great. One thing that could change was the operating hours for the pool and jacuzzi, closing at six in the evening was not convenient to guests.

The Hotel was VERY nice, just as represented in their photos. They have a very large and accommodating ‘western’ style breakfast buffet with lots of options. The pool Bar had nightly live entertainment until 11:00-11:30 pm. Staff was excellent. We would definitely stay here again!

Good hotel in a good location. Less than 10 minutes walk from Sorrento Centre. Breakfast fine. Rooms good. Only criticism is that the room Mini bar is not free. There were 3 bottles of water and 2 cans of soft drinks in the fridge. No price list or indication that any items were chargeable. We drank the water and then asked to pay when checking out. It was not a problem as it was only 3 euros but I believe any hotel should make it clear to their guests what is chargeable and provide a price list. Personally I think a 4 star hotel should provide complimentary water. Overall the hotel is absolutely fine and whilst I would happily stay there again it was nothing to rave about.
