Stayed 1 night

It’s a nice option for staying in Pompeii, and it was walking distance to the park. However, the area around the hotel is not conducive to walking, and the hotel itself is located inside a courtyard of what looks like a car mechanic’s shop. The room was basic, but bed and bathroom were clean, and it had a refrigerator and AC. The host was very communicative and welcoming.

The property was large and in fine shape. Great value as well. My husband and I loved the 2 mini split air conditioners, as a heat wave was present. The kitchen was very nice, since we like to get groceries and eat in some. Lina the host was wonderful at check-in and helpful. Don't forget to bring Euros for the local room tax! I did and had a heck of a time finding an ATM. Turns out it was at the lower ruins entrance. Can't beat the hotel location and easy walk from the train station. We booked a tour to the top of Vesuvius and Pompeii ruins at the train station one morning. The local tours apparently buy all the good tickets, so apparently you have to use them. They were great though. Our minds were blown by the experience. I also got delicious pizza delivered from Uber Eats. Oh, and catching the local train from Naples to Pompeii was tricky - we had difficulty finding the ticket agent, and then initially bought the wrong ticket because we could not communicate well. Ended up standing on the local train, which was fine. We rode the nicer express train back, standing room only again. Both trains were fine. Going by train from Naples to Rome, we could not get this couple to give us our seats. I googled to learn that people don't observe their assigned seating in 1st class there. That train was almost empty, so big deal. In our travels through Europe, Pompeii was the only place where people stared at us like we were aliens from Mars. And we do try not to be ugly Americans.

Lyna, the woman who cleaned and served a great breakfast for 5 euros a day was just truly a wonderful person to meet. She was very helpful and friendly, with always a sweet smile on her face! The accommodation was spotless, very spacious and very comfortable. The garden belonging to the B&B was peaceful and beautiful and the private terrace of my apartment was a good place to relax, except there was 1 big problem which I will mention later. The bed is big and comfortable, aswell as the sofa, and the interior was very stylish! The only downside, is the establishment next door which might is a restaurant or perhaps a bar. They decided to throw their giant bags of trash out their back doors, right by my windows so I couldn't open them without a terrible stink flowing into the apartment. The smell also reached my terrace, so I couldn't spend more than 5 minutes there... Also, from 4 AM every morning, a group of men liked to meet up at the same door of the same facility being extremely loud, almost acting drunk, making it impossible for me to sleep. But the City Pompei Accommodations cannot be blamed for any of this, although I think I should mention how this neighboring establishment is very damaging to this otherwise fantastic B&B!

Stayed 2 nights
