I attended the Labor Day Battle of the Bands at the War Stadium in Jackson MS. This location was close to the event and businesses and restaurants. The parking was free and the hotel was clean. The staff was kind and the breakfast was worth the price!

We were put on the 5th floor for a disabled room and the elevators were broken. We were told that they will be fixed when the maintenance guy arrives could be a couple of days. We asked if we could get help bringing our belongings downstairs and the exact comment from the front desk was “good luck with that!” The grass around the area was over our head.

This was the dirtiest hotel in which we have ever stayed. There was trash in the elevator and a label of some sort stuck to the floor, the elevator doors were dirty, hair on our bathroom floor, stuck-on labeling on the dishwasher, the mirror was filthy, our shampoo was missing, and there was no dish detergent or dishwasher tabs. And one of the towel racks was missing from the wall. We went down for breakfast at 8:00am. There was no bread or bagels. I asked if there was any and was told “No, not at this time.” There was still 2 hours of breakfast time. The A/C worked well.

One of the rooms didn’t have a shower curtain, it was very dusty and hair in the bathroom. There was an old stuffed animal in one of the drawers. Both rooms had some kind of cleaning product used on the tile floors that made them very slippery. Our other rooms bathroom had animal and human hair on the shower tiles. It was close to places to dine. The breakfast offered on the morning was good. The beds were clean and comfortable.

When we checked in the room appeared nice but my first stop is the bed. We pulled back the sheets and found a full eyelash strip stuck to the covers. To me, this would make me believe the linen is not clean. We told the front desk and they sent someone right up with the most horrible attitude. She changed the linen. While changing the linen, we could see huge yellow stains all over the mattress. The hotel was booked up for a family reunion. We took the bedding off to see if we could clean the mattress. It was disgusting. We bought cleaning supplies, bug spray, a mattress cover and pillow case covers and cleaned the mattress. We tried to flip the mattress but there was a blood stain on the opposite side. I told the front desk and they were going to leave a message and the manager would call me. I informed them that I had pictures if she wanted to see. They were not concerned and I haven’t heard from anyone.

The room was very dirty (toilet seat up with urine in it, a used washcloth left in the shower, hair and debris on the bed, food on the floor) and in need of a renovation. It was 30 degrees outside, and the thermostat on the wall didn’t work, so we used the old fashioned wall unit, which was left on AC and loud. Soap and shampoo dispensers were installed on the shower wall in a way that prevents you from turning the temperature handle to hot, so I took a cool shower because it was too late to deal with. Shades were broken, as well. It was gross.

The room was clean, the property was clean and the lady at the front desk was friendly ( she was the only staff we encountered. The problem was, I literally came to sleep before a 5:15 am flight, and I couldn't sleep because the room was so hot. The AC was not working, it was set on 68 and we were all sweating.I called front desk, she came said the settings were wrong and to call her if it wasn't cooling off in 30 minutes and she would call maintenance. I tried to call twice and no one answered. It was a miserable night and made for a miserable next day.

Good hotel for a 1 night stay for work. All of the workers were very friendly. The ac in the room was just ok...it coukd have cooled better. But i did not ask to move to another room because it was only one night.

The staff was great and breakfast was also good. The problem is that other guests had alarms that kept going throughout the night and the walls are paper thin and I couldn’t rest or sleep. I heard from the staff that this is a theme here.

The girl Kenya at the front desk needs more training on how to work with customers. She acted like a robot when checking us in. She offered no greetings and appeared impatient; I did not feel welcome in this hotel after many hours of driving.

I checked in and was given keys, only to find someone in my room upon entering. I walked in, noticed a large suitcase in the doorway and someone sleeping on the bed. I immediately turned around and exited. I went to the front desk and they were nice and helpful, but this is still unacceptable.

Room was clean and modern. The linens were wonderful and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. Front desk staff was welcoming and very nice. We enjoyed the location, was convenient to restaurants and shopping. Great place to relax.

Our room was pleasant, clean and comfy. On check-in we had only a very tiny bit of toilet tissue in one roll and no extra rolls. No bedding for pull-out sofa beds except for one bare pillow. We were registered as two adults and one child. Coffee maker missing slide out tray. No coffee packets in room. Left dirty towels outside door the morning after our first of two nights there because we noticed others had done likewise. Sorry towels were taken but we received no replacements and had to go down and get by those. Breakfast was not well stocked and there were crumbs and food particles all in the drawers holding the bowls, utensils, etc. food was ice cold except for the grits and fresh waffles. No microwave to heat up unless you took it back to the top. Staff at breakfast not welcoming and snapped at several guests.

The room was okay. One of the beds looked like it was made in a hurry. Did not seem very clean. The soap dispenser in the shower was out of soap. The breakfast was really bad. The waffle liquid dispenser wasn’t working. The breakfast items weren’t being replenished. There was only one person overseeing the breakfast area and she seemed overworked and was understandably very irritable. Overall a poor experience. We rated at this exact same hotel in couple of years back. The service was bad then too. We won’t be staying here in thd furure

The breakfast bar isn’t setup very well. It’s hard to tell where the line ends and begins. Also, tables are so close to the bar so it’s hard to move around. The food wasn’t bad though. Everything else was good. We would stay here again.

I have always chosen to stay at this hotel. However, my last two stays haven’t been that great. The staff is not very friendly, and breakfast is from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. However, during the previous two stays, they hardly had any food available. And then, when you ask, they act like they get mad.
