Our flight was cancelled so I looked for a close hotel. The hotel room was surprisingly very comfortable. Clean, nice bedding, roomy and quiet. But the neighborhood is terrible! Dirty and feels unsafe. The lobby is very uninviting. We called 3 times to ask about the shuttle and were told to take the air train and go downstairs. There was in fact no shuttle to this close hotel. I would not stay in this hotel again.

Great building, not the nicest neighborhood at night, very limited parking. I had arrived late at night and had to use Smartpark at JFK then uber back because there was no parking anywhere

No parking lot. No luggage carts. Not a great area to be parking on the street. Room was fairly clean except for some hairs in the bathroom and the desk chair has a bunch of stains on it. Towels also had stains. Staff is friendly and hotel is fairly quiet

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL: Before booking, I called the hotel directly to insure that they had an airport shuttle. I was told "WE HAVE A 24 HOUR HOTEL SHUTTLE TO JFK AIRPORT".I then booked on Hotels.com, and proceeded to the shuttle pick up spot at the airport. I was told by another hotel shuttle driver that Holiday In Express did not have a shuttle service. We bought a $30 Uber, and arrived at the hotel, and asked how often his shuttle went to the airport, his reply was "EVERY 20 MINUTES, BUT WE DON'T HAVE A SHUTTLE SERVICE." (This is not a typo, this is the line he gave us.) There was no apology or explanation. This is just bait and switch from liars. The sheets and room were so damp we laid there for about 5 sleepless hours and finally just left. There were literally numerous holes in the sheets the size of quarters. IHG should yank their franchise.

Like the proximity to JFK. Also, is just two blocks away from Airtrain and room was very clean. I thought I saw shuttle service to JFK which it's not the case. Had to take Airtrain to get to JFK airport. Room is a bit small for the price. Missed the complimentary breakfast as it's served starting 7.00 am.

NA There is no designated parking for this hotel. It is all street parking in a neighborhood and there was none available when we arrived. We couldn’t stay because there was no safe place to leave our truck.

If you drive,this hotel has no parking, so you have to park in the street while there "my car was booted and i got a ticket" and the hotel is in the middle of street and at night its very noisy with the heavy traffic in this area.

Overall the room was clean, the staff were friendly. They even let us an early check in. The breakfasts were good, fresh and hot. The only thing was the vicinity that was not nice.

The hotel was good, only 5 mins of walk from the JFK Airtrain station. However, it was not clear how do I get to the hotel from the JFK airport (shuttle? Airtrain?) . So, it took me almost 20 minutes of dialing to the front desk without anyone picking up the phone. This was VERY disappointing experience. Only after 20 mintes and endless dialing, the person at the front desk has answered and gave me the details of how to reach the hotel.

We checked out the very next day because the area that the hotel was in did not make us feel safe. We attempted to get our money back, however the hotel would not respond to phone calls. We will never use hotels.com again, nor will we ever stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

Location is great. 5 blocks or less from the Sutphin BLVD station which hosts the MTA Subway, LIRR, and AIR TRAIN to JFK. Just gotta be mindful it’s still South Jamaica but not so deep in the neighborhood where you’ll feel uneasy. Just gotta be aware as any major city. Overall good hotel, the breakfast was surprisingly solid, nothing to brag about but nothing to complain about, and the place was clean.

The staff were friendly and very honest about the safety in the immediate area which I appreciated as a solo traveller. The room was ok, but definitely not the usual standard of this hotel chain. The whole place stinks of weed/smoke and the furnishings in the room were stained. I initially took the Sky Train to get to the hotel, but after walking alone from the station to the hotel, I decided Uber was a safer and better option for my departure back to JFK. It was an experience I’ll never forget, but not one I’ll be signing up for again.

Limited breakfast option. If you do not eat pork eggs and cereal are your options. Bagel bread butter jam and cream cheese with sweet cinnamon rolls. Juice and coffee. Check in was smooth. Housekeeping could have been better. Tgey made up veds 1 day out of 4 days. At least some bottled water would have been nice when we checked in. No shuttle service in case you are wondering. Overall it was a good stay forca short periid of time.

The hotel was fine- clean and comfortable. The main issue is the breakfast (seems fairly minor, but it’s a bit of an issue given the cost of >$200 night). I came to breakfast at 9AM, 30 min before closing. By that time many of the items were gone and there was reluctance to restock. Specifically, there were no cinnamon rolls (may require rewarding), muffins/sweets (should be able to pull of of stock without much effort), no white bread, milk, yogurt or packages (though the pancake machine was broken). I eventually got a yogurt and 2 slices of white bread, but there was nothing for my husband who prefers sweeter breakfasts. There was also a notice that the breakfast couldn’t be brought to the room that I just ignored. They were also out of all drinks/s all items that are supposed to be available in the lobby for purchase. I got a bottle of water, but we ended up having to order delivery since there were no other options later at night. Again, it was a fine hotel, but not for the price charged.

For tbe price I thought it was just fine. The room was very clean with a surprisingly comfortable bed. I really appreciated the wonderful AC in the summer (it went down to 60 if you wanted) and it was very much acceptable for an overnight before or after a flight. I do wish the lobby had a bit more to it, with maybe snacks or a small convenience store setup I’ve had at some Holiday Inn Express’s. They did have a soda fridge, but they had maybe 2 cokes and a couple bottles of water when I was there. The area outside the hotel certainly isn’t the greatest, but you aren’t there to see the sites of that area. All in all, a totally acceple place to stay for the night. It’s clean, the beds are cozy, the bathroom is spotless and it is not expensive. I would definitely stay there again if I needed to.
