Kiota Inn & Event Center Sutter Creek, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Very nice accommodations.

Room very clean. Parking easy. Nice walkin shower.

This hotel was not what I expected. When I walked in, there was a strong odor - the only way I can describe it was that it smelled like a wet dog, covered up with cleaning supplies. I get it, as pets are allowed, but I’m very sensitive to smells and it was hard for me to overlook. The room was okay except the smell carried throughout. The shower was mildly warm, and the carpet was very matted - it needs a shampoo or to be replaced, which I think would help the smell and overall feel more comfortable. The staff was very friendly and I slept fine, however I probably wouldn’t return.

Everything was really amazing! The only issue had to do with our neighbors on Friday night that came in late and we're super noisy, playing music loud and talking loud. The next morning they were up around 6-630 am and the same thing. Lots voices and out in the hallway singing and dancing. I don't think we were the only ones to complain either. Not the hotels fault, but it was an issue

Clean, comfortable and wonderful staff. The only disappointment was the restaurant was under renovation so no dining at hotel, which it advertises it has and why I picked it. The "continental" breakfast was a little disappointing. But everything else was fabulous and I would stay there again.
