Econo Lodge Dayton North

Had to access room from outside. Snow had not been cleared in lot and it made it difficult to get to the room. There was not a chair or desk in the room. Front desk person ( who was filling in) found us a chair. Snow had happened 2 days prior.

The room was very clean, however it seemed allot smaller than the picture showed. It was very convenient for us bass fishermen, easy parking and places to charge boats. However they definitely need more lights in the room! One lamp just doesn't cut it, and the pillows could definitely use an upgrade or at least 4 or bed. I guess if your sleeping with someone you're supposed to share the 3rd pillow 😂

The good is this property is fairly new, clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. The not great is wifi was mostly non-existent and if it's a big deal to you, it's near a train track with train horn multiple times per day; it's not oppressive but just a nice to know if it matters to you.

We stay because they have rooms that are dog friendly (if $25/night can be called friendly). The room was clean, neat and comfy. We had an adjoining room and there was NO sound barrier between the rooms. Very noisy. Really finicky shower if you’d like to have pressure and warmth at the same time.

Hotel was very convenient for us. We brought our dog and the room was very accommodating for her. Our room was clean and parking was easy. Staff was helpful. Would stay again.

Prompted a full deep look at the rest of the room and it must have been a housekeeper oversight. Train behind the hotel was loud and frequent. The continental breakfast consisted of apples, tiny muffins, white toast with butter and jelly, microwave oatmeal (which I couldn’t find) and juice. Extremely limited but their restaurant was well advertised in the room and front desk. The next time we will stay at the hotel in Spring City. We chose this for the price but I will spend the extra for a better breakfast, softer bed and less noise.

First impressions was me try to call and find out how late i could check in. I called for an hour before someone answered. Then when we got there, there was a sign up that said call the front desk and we'll come help you. And of course the gentleman working had his tv show up so loud in the back he couldn't here anything. Once we got to the room there was a big stain on one of the beds and the sheets were not clean, so everyone slept on too of the comforter. And when we left your receipt is just sitting on the counter for you to take and leave, obviously the woman working couldn't be bother because she was outside with her boyfriend. The lack of cleanliness and complete lack of customer service will keep me from visiting an Econo lodge again. Thank you

The beds were so comfortable! Everything was clean! Staff was very helpful and informative! Had a very enjoyable 2 nights!

Friendly staff and new construction was a plus. However the rooms and tiny yet oddly with tall ceilings. There are a few issues. The biggest being privacy. The walls are paper thin. I could hear the people upstairs walking around and everything happening in the hall sounded like it was in the room. This hotel seems to be a new model of "how cheap can we get away with" and it shows everywhere.

The building is new so its nice looking as you pull in. The 2 ladies at check in were pleasant and friendly, the best part of the stay honestly. The bed wasn't comfortable, made noise every time one of us moved, theres apparently train tracks behind the hotel, the rooms are not good at preventing sounds from outside the room coming in, the door has a gap all the way around it so light from the hall just shines in, the "breakfast" was ridiculous. Ive stayed in tons of hotels traveling for work over the years, this was a personal trip and definitely a bad choice. The breakfast was an apple wrapped in plastic, bread for toast wrapped in plastic, plain packs of oatmeal, a muffin wrapped in plastic and the little 2 pack of mini frozen sausage biscuits you heat yourself. The OJ was a shade of orange that you wouldn't want it to be and tasted awful. An older couple in the lobby said something about it being the worst free breakfast they've seen and the guy working responded that this is a cheap, low end hotel so this is what you get. I paid $135 for 1 night, I've stayed in nicer Holiday Inn express than this for cheaper.

Couldn’t make the trip due to Hurricane Helene. We knew there was no refund but was looking to re-schedule the stay. Contacted Expedia customer service, who really tried to help by trying to contact the Ecolodge, who just said to call back next day. Then, the Expedia representative was told to give my email and the manager would email me by noon the next day. I never heard from them again.

They overbooked, said don't worry - they booked with sister property, but DIDN'T. We were left without a room and a lot of extra time, stress, & effort to find a room

I was beyond disappointed with my stay. I booked well in advance of my stay but when I arrived with my 15 year old daughter, we were told our room was on the outside of the hotel around back. I said this was not what I wanted, I wanted an inside room and they informed me that bc I booked with a third party that was what I was given. As you can see in the photos when I pulled out the sleep sofa it was filthy!! I asked for a new room and was told they were booked. Never offered to clean it and charged me for a roll away bed. There were several men staying in the hotel, constantly smoking right outside my door and up till 4 am!! I told the front desk I did not feel safe with my daughter and was told they could not do anything about it. If it wasn’t bad enough, the train tracks ran directly behind the hotel where our exterior entrance was. We were there for a sports event for my daughter and had no other option. The female owner was the most unprofessional person I have ever delt with. She knew the hotels around were sold out for the sporting and some random construction event and could care less.

Place looked brand new. Receptionist was friendly and sociable. Enjoyed our one night there.

Stayed 2 prepaid days through Hotels.com. Desk clerk cussed out my husband telling us hotel.com hadn't paid for our stay and we would have to leave. The most professional hotel ever!

I was only able to spend the one night but the staff I did meet were personable and helpful. I was checked in with no problems. The room was spacious enough. The bathroom was very clean. And I know some people worry about the sheets being clean…they were definitely clean and cleaned well. I had a king size bed (too big really, but it was just me) that was comfortable. The room was warm when I arrived, which I like, especially since it’s winter and during a cold spell. I was only here to visit my mom in the nursing home down the road, but if I have to go back (fingers-crossed she’ll be done with PT soon!) I will definitely be staying here.

Check in was disappointing; very little interaction or welcoming to hotel. Breakfast was minimal. Lighting in the bathroom were the old curly cue bulbs which do not illuminate much. There was no Do Not Disturb sign available. This property could be run better!

“Breakfast” no milk, no juice, no cold, cereals, no butter. Coffee was lukewarm at best, their fruit consisted of apples, which were spoiled. Their offering consisted of bread, a few jellies, a few small muffins, and packets for instant oatmeal. The hot water provided from the coffee maker was not hot. I consider this place very overrated and would not recommend it. When we went for breakfast, there was no one at the front desk are in the breakfast area. breakfast was advertised as six to 9:30 AM. We were there at 6:30 and there was no staff.

No breakfast! Coffee maker out of order, muffins put out each day, sub par. Your staff seemed embarrassed making excuses for the lack of breakfast. I was told days later that if you ask the front desk would make you a sausage and biscuit but trust me, it was not offered by the morning desk person. Sink in our room clogged drain, disgusting. Fitted sheets did not fit deep mattress. Uncomfortable.

It's not the fanciest hotel but it's always clean which is amazing! More breakfast options would be appreciated though, it's slim pickings for sure.
