Premier Inn Staines upon Thames

The room was clean and comfortable, and overall I had no major issues with my stay. However, I was disappointed that my room was not cleaned even though I had placed the housekeeping request tag on the doorknob. I was later told that guests are required to contact the front desk directly if they want their room cleaned. If that is the hotel’s policy, it should be clearly explained at check-in or stated somewhere in the room. Otherwise, it is difficult to understand what the housekeeping request tag on the doorknob is actually for. Naturally, guests would assume that displaying the tag is sufficient to request room cleaning.

This hotel has no parking and borrows spaces from someone else. There are also way too few spaces for the number of guests and the nearest alternative car park was a ten minute walk for an able bodied guest but a 20 minute walk for a handicapped guest like myself. There is nowhere to drop off luggage either so you have to drag your suitcases along a cobbled high street. I had confirmed by phone prior to booking that they had accessible car park spaces which turned out to be a lie. No help was offered to rebook to another premier inn and we were told we would have to pay for a whole new booking in addition and hope to be granted a refund by dispensation. In addition the handicapped room was at the end of the corridor not the beginning adding to the inconvenience. Do not book this hotel, it is not set up for guests who have special needs, luggage or cars. An abysmal performance all round. I have been to many premier inns before but this one is absolutely unacceptable; find accommodation elsewhere!

Nasic essential hotel

It's a corporate property but pleasant enough. AC was a bonus given the heat. Decent buffet breakfast. Felt understaffed. Good location
