Our welcome was very disappointing. The front desk staff didn't offer us any helpful information when we asked. There is no restaurant. The bar is unstaffed so you have to wait for someone from reception to serve you. It is not a comfortable place to relax with a drink as it is freezing cold. The lobby washroom garbage cans were overflowing. You must ask for a room robe. It's not a true 4 star. The room was large and clean and the beds were comfortable and linens nice. The shower doesn't have glass walls so the water overflows into the entire bathroom floor making it quite slippery.

We arrived really late due some issues with a hire car and lady who welcomed us (I am so sorry, I have forgotten her name) was fantastic. An absolute credit to this hotel. She was so friendly and helped us set up the charging of our car when we were ready to fall apart. Our room was a good size, and very comfortable, with a window looking out to the car park. No fridge in room. On-site parking for a fee. Most hire cars in France are Hybrids, so charging station at the hotel was a plus. There is a small lift, but there are stairs as well after the lift if on a upper floor. There is a bar in the hotel. The hotel is walking distance to many eateries. This is a great hotel and we would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel right in the centre of Bayeux with everything easily within walking distance. The room was lovely and warm and the bed was very comfortable. The hot tub and swimming pool were a nice touch after a day of walking in Bayeux and on the Normandy beaches. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel. Quadruple room actually had a double and two singles, which is quite unusual in France, I've found. Pool and hot tub both great. Good valua spa access for residents. Free parking available 2 min walk up the road. Great stay - thanks!

Pros: great staff; convenient location; big corner room with 3 windows and ability to get a cross breeze; nespresso machine and nespresso-branded pods in the room; comfortable bed Cons: dated and not what you would expect for a 4-star hotel. Our room was located up a narrow flight of stairs (no elevator) that smelled musty at the top and in the hall; from our room we could hear everyone going up and down the stairs to the floor above; no AC in the room and the provided fan was caked with dust; the room was very sparse with no decoration and didn’t include amenities like a robe to wear to the pool, or a steamer or iron. The bathroom was the most modern part of the room but badly planned with a huge sink, but no counter space or shelf and a shower where you had to squeeze into a corner, where the faucet was, in order to not flood the whole space. We were also over the entrance to the garage and on several occasions people would just sit under the room and rev their motorcycles, creating a lot of noise.

O hotel é bom e bem localizado. Tem uma garagem dentro (que não é barata, mas podemos entender pela região). O atendimento foi impecável e nosso quarto era confortável. O único ponto negativo que me fez tirar uma estrela foi o café da manhã. Muito fraco, o pior de todos os 5 hotéis que pegamos entre Bruxelas, Normandia e Paris. Poucas opções, o ovo mexido estava estragado, com gosto ruim. E novamente, preço caro pela pouca variedade e má qualidade. Tem hidro aquecida e piscina, que é um ponto positivo pra quem for passar mais dias e precisar relaxar. Zero problemas na comunicação em inglês. Me hospedaria novamente, mas sem pagar pelo café.

During check in we veer informed we couldn’t get a key for our room but had to contact reception hven we wanted to enter our room. Next day we had a keycard. Staff has very poor English skills both reception and waiter in the restaurant. The room was full of dead flies, room hadn’t probably been cleaned for some time. The hotel is very worn down and need renovation

Location is great, walkable to everything in town, it's on a side street which made it quiet to come back to at night. The only downside for us was that our bedding/room smelled sour. I don't know if it was because it was an older hotel, the room lacked ventilation or the sheets stayed wet to long.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and our room was clean. We stayed in a comfort double that was small a little inconvenient. Side table too small to set a book or personal items and very little storage space. Staff did bring us a second suitcase stand when we requested it and it was very appreciated.

Wonderful staff that was very friendly and helpful. We booked 2 superior rooms. One was beautiful and clean. The other had hair in the drain and the garbage had not been dumped and a stain on the carpet. The breakfast was food, excellent croissants. Pool was heated but the hot tub wasn’t hot enough to sit in the cold weather. I believe they said 100. It needed to be at least 105. I do recommend this hotel. The massage therapist isn’t always on site so I don’t know of you have to book that in advance. I wish we had known that.

The hotel staff are lovely and the location is brilliant. The room was clean and the coffee machine a huge plus. A small fridge would have been helpful too. Overall a great stay.

I was put in an annex area of the hotel. Up two fights of very steep stairs . Very musty smell in hallway . Very dingy and I uninviting Very difficult to get up the stairs with my heavy luggage. No warning of this in reservation. The staff trying to help were not strong enough. The room was a good size but worn and dated. The bed was poor quality . Very soft and low . The bathroom had good hot water and pressure but it was a tub with a hand head and no shower curtain…the toilette paper was issued as in a public washroom . One piece at a time. I could not get the safe to work. There was no mini fridge. The public areas of the main building were really dated and worn and unattractive.

Our room was sufficient size for 2 travelers. However, we had 2 issues, one minor the second significant. First, the pillows were small and every time we turned over, we had to wake up enough to adjust our pillows. More problematic was the safety issue with the tub/shower facilities. As seniors, we found getting in and out of the tub/shower unsettling as the level of the tub bottom is higher than the bathroom floor. Moreover, there are no safety measures inside the tub/shower. First, no anti-slip items on the tub bottom, so footing was/is a constant concern. Second, the shower walls lacked any handles or grab bars so with a slick tub bottom and no way to hold on, showering was a risk every morning.

Great Central location to the city center. No air conditioning and the tower fan they provided was full of dust . They didn’t know what a face cloth/ wash cloth was . The bathroom was strange . In one tiny room was a bathtub shower combo ( very high and dangerous getting out ) . My husband cut himself getting out of tub as he almost slipped . The toilet is in a separate small room on the other side of guest room without a sink to wash hands . Some electrical outlets didn’t work. The electric door lock to the room didn’t work and cover was missing. We used a key ( is that still safe?) .

We stayed two nights in the spa terrace sweet. It was very nice and quiet. There is no AC but windows opened and we had a breeze. The bathroom and toilet were separate which was nice and we had a rain shower.

The hotel is beautiful, in an old mansion that was once inhabited by writer Gustave Flaubert. The rooms were nicely sized, and room amenities (water, coffee, etc) were replenished everyday of need be. Staff were So friendly and helpful. Our only constructive criticism is that the WiFi was not very strong: it was in and out. However everything else was wonderful!

We were warmly welcomed in the evening the gentleman on reception recommended a local French restaurant which served traditional food. He booked a table on our behalf. Throughout our staff were helpful and courteous. I would highly recommend this hotel. Perfect for exploring Bayeux. All shops and restaurants in walking distance. A beautiful cathedral that reflected the advent season with it arrangement of purple lights on the walls and a nativity scene pointing the way to birth of Jesus. A lovely town to visit particularly at the pre Christmas time. All shops beautifully decorated in true traditional French style

During check in we veer informed we couldn’t get a key for our room but had to contact reception hven we wanted to enter our room. Next day we had a keycard. Staff has very poor English skills both reception and waiter in the restaurant. The room was full of dead flies, room hadn’t probably been cleaned for some time. The location of this hotel is perfect. The people are fabulous and friendly. We did not use any of the spa services so we can't speak to that, but the location is ideal and walkable to everything. Great hotel. Would have stayed a second night if available. Pool and hot tub were a nice touch. Free on street parking available right outside the courtyard. If you can’t find a space paid on-site parking is available as well. Close to cathedral and restaurants.

Our welcome was very disappointing. The front desk staff didn't offer us any helpful information when we asked. There is no restaurant. The bar is unstaffed so you have to wait for someone from reception to serve you. It is not a comfortable place to relax with a drink as it is freezing cold. The lobby washroom garbage cans were overflowing. You must ask for a room robe. It's not a true 4 star. The room was large and clean and the beds were comfortable and linens nice. The shower doesn't have glass walls so the water overflows into the entire bathroom floor making it quite slippery.

We did not have a good experience during our stay. There was no heat in our room with temperature in the 50s. Room seas too small and does not compare to others at the same rate. We purchased breakfast and it was very bad food not well prepared with dirty tables not cleaned. Not a good experience at all.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. One challenge was that some rooms were not accessible by elevator. Once the elevator reached a floor, the rooms were up another half flight of steps. It was challenging for me who is a senior adult to get a suitcase up that half flight. I had to take it slow but managed okay. The onsight parking spaces were very tight and some were difficult to get into. Everything else was great! Hotel breakfast had a nice assortment of meats, cheeses, breads, eggs, yogurts and cereals....all the normal offerings of many hotel breakfasts.

Very nice hotel located in the heart of Bayeux. The only issue we experienced was no air conditioning in 90 degree weather. Apparently it is very unusual for it to be that hot. Other than that, it was a very nice hotel and the employees went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
