Central Square Heritage Hotel

Ett väldigt fint hotell mitt i gamla stan i Split. Går inte att köra dit så närmsta plats för taxi att släppa av är ca 3-4 minuters gång. (enkel väg så funkar fint med vagn eller rullstol) Det fanns minikyl och vattenkokare på rummet. Rent och välstädat. Inget att klaga på. Receptionen stängde 21, så ingen 24/7 reception tyvärr.

Great location. Price was worth it for room quality & quiet despite being on the main square. Slightly false advertising regarding parking. There was no discount despite what was stated.

Parking is a nightmare! To find the hotel is another nightmare.Also it just has the 3rd floor of the building not the whole building.

A nice, clean hotel in the heart of Old Town with a one person receptionist. Large, clean and comfortable room in a building located right on the main square. Building has 3 floors, with each floor a different hotel. Central Square Heritage Hotel is on the 3rd floor. Entrance is at the side of the building, directly across from a gelato store. While it's not a full service hotel, you can't beat the perfect location to explore the old town and the harbor. If you are driving, an option is to use public outdoor parking Parkiraliste Stari Plac and walk 8 minutes to the hotel. EXTREMELY convenient location!

This property suffers from 2 major flaws. Firstly, its marketing & associated images suggests/infers that breakfast eating is on site. This is not the case, there is no dining facility & guests have to buy a voucher at extra charge and the walk to a nearby eating place which obviously has a business tie in with the hotel. Inconvenient if it’s raining! Secondly this ‘hotel’ is more like a hostel set up. The building comprises multi-occupancy hotelier businesses with only 1 lift which is accessed via a side door leading into a somewhat dingy common close corridor. The room was relatively spacious however the decor, which supposedly tried to recreate a distressed Victorian look was in truth more shabby than chic. The bathroom fittings in the basin & shower had limescale & verdigris all over. The shower tray was brown & stained at the sealant areas & a piece of the tray fascia fell off. The electric bedside sockets were worn to a point that charging phones etc required building a form of platform underneath the plugs do that they stayed in alignment with the socket. The ‘chandelier’ had a number of bulbs out. The ‘safe’ was in a wardrobe attached to a shelf which was removable!! The air conditioning unit packed in and the started leaking water onto the floor requiring towels to soak it up. This unit was eventually repaired by one helpful member of staff (Anita). For a supposed 4 stars, this ‘hotel’, ideally placed for walking in Split town centre, is overpriced

A two nights stop in Split. We had 2 rooms and they were awesome although a few "parts" (shower door, furniture...) would need some love... fixing or refreshing ! If you are traveling by car... it is tricky to find where to park but the staff was helpful - you can call them and they did their best to help us. Entrance of the hotel was very hard to find... we got lost. But this is a great place, in a great location with friendly staff. I had written to the hotel to let them know that it was a honeymoon trip for my parents and they let a message and a bottle of wine in their room: THANK YOU, great!, they were touched so that was much appreciated!

The hotel is in very central part of the oild town in front of Central Square. It is very convenient to walk around. However, there is no breakfast, no dinner.

Super friendly staff and beautiful room! Was in the perfect location - easy to get to all of the best spots in Split by foot. You have to park a bit far though and they don't always have reserved parking available even though the hotel shows free parking. Still worth it and public parking lots are pretty cheap!

Great location! But don’t bring a car as their parking is far from hotel and yet they still charge you. Very nice staff.

The staff were very helpful with recommendations for dining and bookings for meals and activities. The room was spartan but clean, linens a bit worn. Overall a good location and a good experience.

This hotel was an historic property near the central plaza. However it was EXTREMELY inconvenient for a family of six with luggage. Parking was difficult and unloading our luggage brought the wrath of the Polizia. On the other hand, the staff was lovely and so kind to our children. My mother would be appalled at the dust under the bed!

Our shower was filled with mold and dirty. The staff did nothing when we told them it was unhealthy to have so much mold

Very nice hotel right by the Split Riva and palace. It was a very convenient location with a good grocery store next door and plenty of dining options. The room was spacious and kept very clean.

Beautiful room, excellent housekeeping. Very convenient. Has mini fridge and electric kettle.

A beautiful, clean and spacious room, we had a dance in it! Loved the window shutters. It was tastefully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious with a huge sink and the shower was 3 way and very powerful. The location was perfect, on People's Square with everything close by. A great bakery steps from the hotel and the best ice cream shop on the opposite side of the square. The reception were really helpful. There is so much to do in Split that we will definitely return and stay in this beautiful historical building. Alina & Steve ❤️

The property is in a great location and close to everything but for the price we paid the room was not as clean. There were open soap bar open in the bathroom and it was kinda dirty and not fully cleaned. Further there is no phone in the room so anytime you need something you have to walk to the front desk to ask for it. Cleaning crew every morning maid sooo much noise while cleaning that i had to contact the property through expedia but still the next days we experience the same noisy situation. There was no hot water for 2 days. When I brought it up to the front desk girl she gave attitude and was not even apologetic. She was so clueless and said that she will ask the manager (who was not even responding to her) Imagine coming back from swimming in the ocean wanting to shower and to find out there is no hot water. After 2 hours they told us we should have hot water within the next hour. We didn't have hot water until next day in the evening.

Great location, in the middle of old Split. Easy 4 minute walk from auto drop off to hotel in the pedestrian only section in town. Bathroom shower could use cleaning for moldy corners.

Sheets dirty, wasn’t changed from previous guests; hair and crumbs all over both beds. We were given new sheets which we had to put on. There is no housekeeping or guest services; after 11pm no staff at all. Bathroom dirty. Really not a hotel but room for rent type of apartment bldg.

I love this hotel and I try to stay there every time I go to split . The rooms are beautiful , spacious nicely decorated, with very nice toiletries . Location is the best, few steps away from everything

Great location and spacious room. However the property is advertised as a 4 star hotel, where standards are at 3 star at best. The bed was old, headrest was notably worn and the air conditioning was faulty. The room is noisy (from above floors etc). Not worth the high cost paid.

The location is unique, right at the edge of a major square and in the middle of shopping and restaurants. New windows mean no noise comes in from the square.

Comfortable room in a great hotel, in the center of the Old Town, just steps from great eating and entertaining establishments. Great view over the Narodni Trg square. Helpful and attentive staff. Will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful location in the middle of the old city. The room was full of character but just a little worn. Front desk staff are very helpful.

This hotel stands under UNESCO HERITAGE Protection. It is a lovely Art-Deco architectural marvel, beautifully restored, every room. We chose it because it is in the middle of the Central Square of the Old Town. During our stay, we were hoping to be assigned the rooms looking over the square. Out of three nights, we had one room of these for two nights, but the other one had a view onto rooftops only. The hotel entrance is difficult to find, due to the lack of signage, imposed by UNESCO. The hotel is in the pedestrian area, getting your luggage to the door and into the hotel is a bit of a schlepp. However, it was all worth it, because the hotel is so centrally located to all the ancient sights, shops and restaurants. It is a special and unique hotel to stay at. We enjoyed it.

Great location. A little difficult to find at first. Very clean, we had a room on the 3rd floor which was really big and quiet with a great view of the square

Front staff when we arrived was so rude. Did not want to help us. I don’t know if she just hated her job or hated Americans. Worst stay in our travels from Naples Italy to Dubrovnik. There also was no parking for us available like advertised and she was not helpful circled a possibility on a map for us to park. Had no idea what it would cost us and was basically just like good luck! I do not recommend staying here. Beds also awful! The fold out couch for my daughter was so bad. I felt terrible for her.

Hotel is in the middle of old town split. Easy to walk everywhere so many restaurants options around and of course ice cream! Staffs are nice and friendly. Hotel transfers pick up at airport is so comfortable and the van is big for 5 of us with suitcase i highly recommended use hotel transfer to or pick up airport. Price is the same as uber but nicer car.

A localização é perfeita! Pedimos ao concierge um transfer do aeroporto para o hotel e foi ótima ideia, pois nos levou até bem próximo do hotel (não há acesso com carro até o hotel). O motorista foi muito simpático. Fomos recebidos por um atendente do hotel que nos ajudou a levar as malas. Esse mesmo rapaz foi mal educado quando perguntamos sobre a possibilidade de reembolso parcial de um dos quartos (reservamos 04 quartos, mas o casal que ficaria em um deles teve o voo cancelado e só chegaria no dia seguinte). Ele foi rude. Poderia ter explicado de forma mais amigável. As recepcionistas do hotel foram amáveis, mas muito preocupadas em nos cobrar insistentemente a taxa de turismo (2,50€ por pessoa)! Um dos quartos tinha muito pó, o que fez com que um de nós tivesse uma noite péssima! Os quartos que dão para a praça principal são barulhentos!

As central to the old city as it gets. Only downside is having to walk a few blocks from nearest Uber drop off point, everything else was great!

Quarto muito confortável e limpo! Excelente localização, apenas não consegue chegar de carro pois está no centro histórico. Mas tem estacionamento disponível fora da muralha.

We booked this hotel primarily because of the location and it certainly didn't disappoint with all the main attractions of old Split being within a few minutes walk.. The taxi dropped us at the Riva promenade which was a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. The old town is pedestrianised which is fantastic and necessary - some of the streets are barely wide enough for a person! The hotel is on the third floor of our building and we'd opted for one of the upgraded rooms that faced the square. Check in at the hotel was polite and helpful and the room was magnificent! It was a lovely size, nicely decorated and furnished, had a lovely bathroom and plenty of plug sockets. The sockets all had additional USB charging ports which helped and the wifi was fantastic - we could even use it from some of the cafes in the square. The room was cleaned every day for us and the teas and coffee topped up - a nice touch as a lot of continental hotels seem to omit providing kettles. It was lovely to look out over the square and the noise was surprisingly muted, even on a Saturday night. We really are very pleased with our choice of hotel and highly recommend it.

Central location in Split. Parking is about a 5 minute walk away - contact the hotel in advance for help with where to park. Comfortable bed, big room.

hotel is in a historic building, right in the old city center. easy walk to everything of interest in split, as well as the boat pier for day trips to the islands. room is excellent, staff friendly. highly recommend.

Excellent location! It’s literally in the heart of Old Town and five minutes from everything you want to see. Room was gorgeous. Highly recommend.

The location was awesome but not if you’re driving. Parking was difficult to find and required a 10min walk with luggage. Overall our stay was lovely and rooms were very spacious.

Anita @ Reception is an amazing host; she guided me in by phone. Hotel is off the main promenade, through the beautiful ancient city, but a bit hard to find if not familiar with Split. 5 ⭐ Great dining, just steps away from the front door.

Lovely third story hotel in a historic building on a beautiful square just outside the Palace gate. Very convenient location, once you find it. Note: each floor is a different hotel. Central Hotel does not include breakfast but we like eating out. Spacious room, nicely appointed. Staff was very helpful. Great hotel to base your stay in Split.

It was my second time visiting Central Square Heritage Hotel. I rebooked due to the great experience I had the first time. Great restaurant options within a short walk, shopping, historical landmarks, coffee shops and some of the best gelato I've ever had.
