I’ve stayed in this area before, but this was my first time at the Herbert Park. It was a quick overnight, but the parking was easy and convenient, room was clean and quiet. We did not eat at the hotel, rather walked the block to Rolf’s for their great food.

It was very nice to be able to park nearby while at this hotel. The facility was clean and bright. Rooms are a good size, and breakfast good value. Plenty of dining options within a short walk.

Very nice hotel, excellent location. Nice sized bedrooms, large bathrooms. Fantastic service in the bar and restaurant. Only issue is car park spaces are very tight, but is secure and well light. Would definitely stay again.

Good location as we were attending a function nearby. Reception was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Rooms very good size, modern and comfortable. On site Parking was busy but found a space. Maybe only negative I prefer one pillow to be feather and soft!

I stayed at the hotel recently and unfortunately had a disappointing experience with the parking and staff attitude. I prepaid online for parking, but when I arrived the underground car park was completely full. If the hotel cannot guarantee a space, guests shouldn’t be charged in advance. I ended up having to park in the set-down area, and was still charged the full parking fee despite not being able to use the actual underground parking I paid for. I rang reception to explain the issue and to ask if there were any alternative parking options, as the car park was so congested that cars were getting stuck with no proper way around. The receptionist I spoke to was not particularly helpful. What made the situation worse was that when he hung up the phone, my husband—who happened to be standing at reception—saw him make a face and a rude gesture, clearly showing he viewed my call as an inconvenience. This was extremely unprofessional and left a very poor impression. Overall, the parking situation and the attitude from staff were disappointing and not what I would expect from a hotel of this standard

My windows opened onto their courtyard which is packed with technical plants - not only unsightly but also loud. A bit like staying in a very clean hotel with nice staff in the 1980’s Eastern Europe.

We both. had a really bad night's sleep - I think this is the first time we've been assigned a standard double bed rather than a king-size or even two singles. And yes, of course I should have checked when booking. In addition, we had a meal in the dining section yesterday evening and one of our party found the lamb just about inedible. Yes, it was mentioned to the staff, but I doubt if it made any difference

Lovely staff. I did not have a view from the window but had good sun light coming in to the room. The rooms were maintained well and got everything needed. There was no desk or table so if you are traveling for work this might be a challenge

Great hotel, clean and spacious, my only issue was cost of mini bar, I expected it to be a little expensive but I felt it was excessive, aside from that coffee machine was premium with free coffee/tea. Lighting in the room was too complicated, couldnt turn of individual lights, was kind of all on or all off, strip light above the window clicked every few seconds for a period after I switched lights off which was annoying. Overall 8 out of 10.

I was quite surprised that the price range for this hotel was reasonable considering the location. I liked the fact it was next to the canal and a park,had great transport links plus you can walk into town if you have the time and energy. Check in and out were both swift. I didnt take advantage of the online link as i was send 15 emails which made me feel a bit dubious about whether they were bad links. I was upgraded which was a lovely surprise and the room was massive and a lot bigger than my room at home! Its always a bonus to have a coffee maker or kettle, which was attractively arranged in a presentation box. There is also a stocked fridge should you wish to take advantage of. The toiletries were in a queasy packaging which also included lids and were easier to access than the harder plastics and had a bit more product than the smaller containers. The bathroom itself was clean. The bed was huge and comfortable and i had no problem sleeping. There wasnt much noise from other neighbours apart from in the morning. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The hotel bedroom was dated it could do with a some modernising. Our room over looked a flat roof with a large AC unit / extractor that was so noisy. The hotel is conveniently located the staff were friendly and it was clean.

Brilliant stay super helpful staff lovely dinner and breakfast thanks Julio Henrique. Also special thanks to the manager. I had a problem with my bath she rushed to help me and as it couldn't be rectified upgraded my stay to an apartment which was incredible especially the bath! Wouldn't hesitate to stay again!!

Excellent front desk and housekeeping service. We were ignored in the bar area after receiving our drinks. Wanted to order off the food menu but changed our mind because we couldn’t get a server’s attention. It was busy but still. Very nice hotel and property.

We were lucky enough to get upgraded to a suite, but even without that, the hotel is located in a beautiful part of Dublin. It's right by the park, which has Sunday farmers markets and great food. Easy to get in and out of the the city. Very safe, clean, and beautiful area.

Great hotel in a beautiful quiet suburb of Dublin yet within walking distance of the city centre - excellent restaurants and cafes on doorstep and adjacent to Herbert Park - the hotel is well maintained and the staff are very friendly and helpful - I would highly recommend this hotel

The hotel is great -- high standards all round, and very good breakfast. More reasonably priced than much less appealing alternatives in the city centre. The downside is the location, which is a little impractical. The buses are a 10-minute walk away the other side of the park (nice walk, though), and it's a half-hour walk from the centre of town. Taxis to/from the centre are around €25. If that's not an issue, it's decent value for money, especially if you intend to spend some time at the hotel.

Disappointing Experience We have been coming to the Dublin Horse Show and staying at Herbert Park for many years. Check-in is at 3 PM, but after 4 PM, our room was still not ready. The receptionist, after speaking with the manager, informed us that we were allocated an apartment. However, I specifically did not book an apartment, as I have stayed in one before and do not like it. I declined this option, and the receptionist went to get the manager. After waiting another 10-15 minutes, we were finally given a room. The rooms are very dated. I ordered tea from room service, but the porter forgot the milk, so we had to wait for that to arrive. We also had a drink at the bar, but the drink I ordered was unavailable. Additionally, I noticed that there were flies all over the glasses and open drink bottles, which raised health and safety concerns. I mentioned this to the barman, but he seemed unconcerned. Overall, it was one issue after another. The prices for the weekend during the Dublin Horse Show are exorbitant, which I don’t mind paying if the quality and service match the price. Unfortunately, this hotel is falling far below the expected standard. On a positive note the room cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful.

We absolutely loved our weekend here for St Patricks day! All staff are friendly and approachable! The little touch of bringing a birthday card and sweet treats to the room shortly after arrival for my daughter was extremely generous! And made my daughters day! The herbert park literally next door was beautiful and lovely to walk round. Breakfast was very good also! Easy acess to public transport to get around also. Will definitely stay again!

This hotel is very bad value! The room we got was the Smallest I have Ever seen- just about room to walk around the double bed. No room for a table or chair. You could brush your teeth from the bed! I’m sure there a much larger rooms in Mounjoy at no cost! The countless staff were falling over each other but you still had to wait 20 mins for a drink if it arrived at all. Parking was €12 a night in the tightest spaces I have encountered. They know their location and exploit that. Food was poor also- needless to say I will not be staying again!
