Beautiful grounds, good-sized pool, staff beyond ordinary and good-sized, gorgeous rooms. We dined at the restaurant our first night and the atmosphere and food was some of the best we experienced in Provence.

Beautiful hotel. Everything about it is perfect! The gardens, terrace and swimming pool are very well maintained and comfortable. Breakfast is very good with excellent buffet together with cooked to order egg dishes. In walking distance of gorgeous shops and restaurants. Perfect for a weekend away or, like is part of a tour around the area, we will return!

A beautifully decorated hotel with excellent staff and service. The staff was especially wonderful for any of my needs. The workout room was less than an average American Best Western hotel. The only working piece was a water rower, which was fine. The stationary cycle was terrible. Even if it worked it was not operable by a short person . My feet, at the lowest setting, couldn’t reach the pedals. The pedals did not work in opposition, as a normal bike. There were no instructions, There was no treadmill, no elliptical machines. The room itself was lovely but not functional. The massage room was a small space accessed through this exercise room. The end result was not luxurious nor spa-like. Thus the low facilities rating for a hotel that lists itself as a spa.

Our room was spectacular - large and with 2 bathrooms! Breakfast was included and had lots of options. The hotel is a luxurious property, very quiet, and downtown Aix is close by and very walkable. A highlight was the large swimming pool and its associated hot-tub. Villa Saint Ange was one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed at!

Villa Saint-Ange is a stunning property with elegant surroundings and beautifully maintained grounds. While most of the staff were professional and courteous, my one-night stay on June 15th fell short of expectations due to a few unfortunate service lapses. Upon check-in just after 5 PM, I was told a complimentary welcome plate would be offered, and I could choose when to receive it. I requested it for 7:30 PM, but it never arrived, even after I reminded the front desk. I was also informed the pool would be open until 8 PM with ongoing service. I arrived around 6:30 PM and was told towels were no longer being distributed but was given two as an exception. I asked to order a drink and was told service had ended. Moments later, while I was in the pool, the attendant began closing umbrellas—including mine—while others nearby remained open. Roughly 30 minutes later, the same attendant approached a nearby guest to take a drink order and returned with their beverages. Though the property is visually impressive and the front desk and valet staff were welcoming, the inconsistencies in communication and service impacted my overall experience. For a luxury hotel, better follow-through and guest attention would go a long way.

Well to start with my parents room had ants in the bathroom 3 out of 4 days (nights). The hotel is also wedged between a cemetery and an apartment complex about a 10 minute walk into the main part of town. The restaurant is fancy but it will still be a while before they get a Michelin star. I would not stay here again.

Noisy room above could not sleep for 3 nights and rooms near main road traffic from 6am so noisy.Crane by pool with works going on.Front of house manager so unhelpful her response when we complained was it’s not the hotels fault guests are noisy!Dirty patio had to ask for it to be cleaned.Quentin concierge super helpful and knowledgeable the only plus.

La chambre jolie et très propre ,le toilette à côté du lavabo pour un 5 étoiles !!!! Le thé de bien venu 1 sur 2 ( il devait manquer d eau , ou de thé ?) le matin à la douche pas d’eau chaude ! Ça doit être pour raffermir les chairs 😃. Et pour finir le cimetière a côté. La demeure est magnifique et le personnel très agréable, mais………

Aucune place de réserves au restaurant étoilé pour les résident de l’hôtel ???! Vous devez réservez bien avant l’arrivée de votre séjour si vous voulez pouvoir y dîner ; inadmissible . Comme solution , on vous propose le snack de la piscine . Le room service est normalement 24/24 , mais après minuit on ne vous sert que du saumon fumé ou 3 morceaux de fromage dans une assiette . Et les plateaux du room service , restent dans les couloirs jusqu au lendemain à 16h ! Choquant pour ce standing d’hôtel , je n’ai jamais vu ça .

Beautiful hotel. Disappointed in the room. Deluxe Room (10) was extremely dark as it was on ground level surrounded by high vegetation. And was very warm. Aircon didn’t work and couldn’t open windows due to being at ground level and when we did they attracted mosquitoes and a local cat… we were offered a different room but at an extra €500 in addition to what we’d paid for, was not accepted!

Finally, the last night they moved us to a jr suite, but it really was too little, too late. I think they should have done much more given the prices charged. The property was lovely. They also add a 5 euro gratuity to each order and that was not explained beforehand.

Very disappointed that I couldn’t do a business board call in my room because of very poor WiFi . I did get a private room for 90 minutes but then I had to leave it as it was booked for something else and go to a lounge bar area with other guests were there talking & walking around , I moved to dining room but again staff moving around . Very bad for a 5 star which I never experienced before.

This hotel is incredible. We have stayed at a lot of gorgeous properties throughout the world, but there is something incredibly special at Villa St Ange. It feels like you’re in the countryside at a peaceful oasis and it’s just steps away from a main road and a 10 min walk to Cours Mirabeau. The staff was lovely and caring (except for a gentleman who did the pool service and looked frazzled and annoyed every time we saw him). My only recommendations to take this hotel to the next level would be an in-room coffee machine like a Nespresso or something similar and softer robes. But otherwise it’s impeccable and I hope to return.

While most of the staff were professional and courteous, my one-night stay on June 15th fell short of expectations due to a few unfortunate service lapses. Upon check-in just after 5 PM, I was told a complimentary welcome plate would be offered, and I could choose when to receive it. I requested it for 7:30 PM, but it never arrived, even after I reminded the front desk. I was also informed the pool would be open until 8 PM with ongoing service. Our air conditioning didn’t work in our room, and when we finally figured out that it wasn’t “user error “ we went to the front desk. They were not as helpful as we had hoped. Finally, the last night they moved us to a jr suite, but it really was too little, too late. I think they should have done much more given the prices charged. The property was lovely. They also add a 5 euro gratuity to each order and that was not explained beforehand.

Wonderful property and fantastic food at the restaurant. Staff at the hotel and dinner were fabulous. My only complaint was the service at breakfast and lunch, the service was fairly poor. All in all, wonderful hospitality property though and would highly recommend if in the area

Well to start with my parents room had ants in the bathroom 3 out of 4 days (nights). The hotel is also wedged between a cemetery and an apartment complex about a 10 minute walk into the main part of town. The restaurant is fancy but it will still be a while before they get a Michelin star. I would not stay here again.

This is a beautiful hotel located a short walk outside the centre of Aix-en-Provence. Could not fault the stunning hotel or the service. Aix itself is a great place to spend a few days with plenty of restaurants and a very lively atmosphere. We flew in to Marseille and hired a car as we were travelling further. You do have to pay for parking beneath the hotel but we felt it was worthwhile. We stayed early June 2023.

Beautiful hotel. Everything about it is perfect! The gardens, terrace and swimming pool are very well maintained and comfortable. Breakfast is very good with excellent buffet together with cooked to order egg dishes. In walking distance of gorgeous shops and restaurants. Perfect for a weekend away or, like is part of a tour around the area, we will return!

What we will remember most is the overall sublime ambience that we felt in every area of the property. The front desk staff were always cheerful, our serveuse (future dentist!) was patient & knowledgeable as was the sommelier. The food was remarkable, a brilliant chef! We loved François, so many jobs, such a pro!

Excellent hôtel, calme, personnels très gentils, petit déjeuner excellent et varié. Le restaurant gastronomique n'est pas à la hauteur. Très cher pour des plats qui arrivent froids et trop salés pour certains. Je recommande à 10 mn à pied le restaurant le jardin de Mazarin où c'est excellent et moitié prix que celui de l'hôtel.
